Question Camera problem - Sony Xperia 1 IV

Hello. I have a problem with the camera on my Xperia 1 IV. When I start the camera and switch to the 85-125mm lens, the image freezes after a while. On the other lenses everything is ok. Have any of you had such a problem? Regards

Try vignette for the camera and auto flash, although the flash isn't close to bright enough to work as a proper flash, but at least it auto flashes.
Never messed with videoing apps, so can't really help you there.
Just make sure u get the latest one Vignette 0906, it will fix the isse

Xperia S Camera problems

Hi to all!
I'm having camera issues especially when making night pictures. The pics are very blurry and dark. And it seems like auto focus is not working.
You can see some examples on the site below, seems I'm not the only one having it:
http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/34345
I'm on .73 FW.
Will flashing a new rom solve my problem (because i think it's sofware related).
Please share your opinion.
Thanks!!
Try a third party app with good camera drivers.

When in low light the AF will be slower and hesitating. This is not unique to Xperia S. Any digital camera using AF(either phase detection or contrast detection) are like this.
This is also why on most digital cameras there is a "AF assist lamp" to help the low-light AF situations.
Try turn the video recording light on and make it the "AF assist lamp".
The focusing capability of the built in app is not that good especially in low light. Scratchling is correct. Use a good third party app and you will see your focusing in low light improve.
LGCamera is very good.
FX Camera Zoom, too.
Shutter sound of camera
I have lost my camera shutter sound eversince updated to .73 FW. I even tried re-installed rom via repair mode when connected to PC companion. After re-installed rom, shutter sound still not working. (Shutter sound "on" option was turned on).
Can anybody help?
Guys just tell me one thing
Is it hardware problem??
I m scared
Replaced my xperia s 3 times
God not again!!

Downgrade to 0.63 and re install 0.73, with FlashTools.
try holding the shutter button down like how u will do it with a digital camera for it to focus
The problem only occurs in low light!
In day time the phone camera is working like a charm
No problems during the day!!

Get camera zoom fx, loads better then the built in camera

Similar issues. Stock camera app is a bit dud.
Really..I find the stock camera awesome the only complaint really is the time it can take to focus sometimes but will give that app mentioned a try

Does anyone know if it's possible to get real night vision on a mobile cam?

Can anyone report that this issue doesn't exist using third party apps? So it is just software related then? (hoping!)

Its an interesting idea, maybe with an IR illuminator, but somebody would probably need to write custom drivers for each ccd.

Probably an IR light and a massive driver hack, assuming that our sensor reads IR levels. Still a crazy hack and will probably be hard to switch back and forth.

[Q] 720- and 1080p Videocamera LAG - Need a fix.

I have noticed that, when filming in 720p and 1080p, that the video camera has a tendency to lag when panning to the side after it has focused --> After the camera focuses, and I turn the camera to the sides or up/down, it lags for a second, creating a chopping effect (lagging).
I have stock Gingerbread installed on it (it came on it when purchasing the phone), and have not updated to stock ICS yet.
Does anyone else have this, or have noticed this problem? I'd really like to solve this mystery as soon as possible.
Thank you,
- Steria

Just a suggestion:
Have you already tried to install the S2 Camera update from Samsungs Apps?
This was an update for the camera firmware of the SGS2.
If you have already installed the update, this app will show it right after the installation.
Good luck !
I just updated Samsung Apps, and am now in the program.
I guess this is a known program then, since they have put out an update for the camera...
How do I find the S2 Camera Update?
Thank you for your reply,
- Steria

you can google for the same r try with Sammobile.com
Lag as you described is not firmware related as I never had it, but you can try.
Also what you can do I'd you are using micro sdcard as storage, change it to internal and check.
Unless issue is frame rates, blur when panning.

[HELP!] Camera not working

So, when I had LP on my m4 aqua, the rear camera was working fine, and the front too, but when I opet front camera on Snapchat, it just freezes. So, today I upgraded my phone to marshmallow, and now, whenever I opet camera app, and change to the front camera, it just stops working, and says like ''error, check if any other apps are using the camera'', but no other apps are using it.
I would appreciate if someone could help me. Thanks.

Already did, but no help. Front camera still freezes and then error comes up saying the camera may be in use of other application. But rear camera works like a charm. Even the focus is sooooo muuuch better on MM now.

So changing the save location from the SD card to internal seems to fix the problem if anyone is having delays with the video recording. Hope they make a fix for this as this only occurred after the pie update
