I am really want the NFC it's gonna help me in everywhere but they wrote (Optional) what that dose mean ????
they are gonna sell it with to version with&without NFC???
and as i remember Google said they are gonna sell something like sticker that will let my phone support the NFC
do you know when they are gonna sell it ???
I asked them about the NFC if it's support or not this is their answer :
@Ahmad Saleh : Hi, thank you for your interest on our Android package. Please note that Samsung Galaxy S II supports NFC and you have option to choose use it or not. Thank you. - NA

does that make sense???
A SGSII variant got NFC. It called i9101. The original one does not have NFC. So, maybe Maxis will offer both i9100 and i9101.

As by their reply to you as it reads the phone has this fuction it's down to you to enable it or not. But I would go in store if poss and double check before you place any order. Optional would suggest they have more than one version of this phone.

If this was the reply from maxis...my advice is to really double check..often they dont know head or tail about the phone they are marketing..

I agree with iznee wholeheartely.
The most reasonably is that it is the standard i9100.
So no NFC.
Salespeople & servicedesks generally don't know anything.
If it is important to you, I advice patience. Don't finish the transaction till you had the phone in your hands and checked the features.

actually I was very interesting of NFC and try to contact them via facebook - twitter e-mail and phone call
this replay was from facebook
but the funny thing when i called them and ask them about NFC the man didn't know what NFC is??
they have Old service called "Maxis FastTap"
http://www.maxis.com.my/personal/fasttap/index.asp
and they gave all the details of NFC and phone support
that moment I was explain to him their service and what is NFC !!!
"they must let me work in maxis costumer service "
================================
BTW now i sure 99.99% there is no NFC in their device because all the details they gave us in that PDF file is a same from GSMArena website
"Samsung I9100 Galaxy S II"
http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_i9100_galaxy_s_ii-3621.php

So anyone know when Google will sell that sticker for NFC ??
Well it is a nice feature to have but if you are staying in Malaysia, doubt you will utilise it much
I am a Radio Jockey. My work is kind of reporter for Tv n Radio in India.
Sometimes I ll record some Voice bytes on my phone & i need to send them to the TV/radio station.
Generally i ll whatsApp or Email them.
But sometimes i am in remote locations where i cant have 3g/2g/data & where I can only receive calls.
In such a situation, when someone from the station calls me, i should be able to play the audio to them.
But I found this is impossible with my Android Phone. Nor any Android phone for that matter. I tried many, but for me, all the phones that have Android OS are useless. What should i do with 3ghz or 3gb ram or lollipops or thousands of apps which don't serve my basic need ,when my old Nokia N8 could easily do this task.
Shame on Android, which is hailed as the most popular n advanced OS for phones... not to have such basic functionalities that an Extinct Os like Symbian could do.
After all the research .. i came to u guys..There are senior developers here who are doing wonders..with custom Roms, kernels n frameworks.. My Direct question to you guys is
What changes do I need to Make to the framework or kernel to "play audio to the caller" ?
or Are there any readily available modified frameworks/kernels (like Faux, etc) which serve my purpose?
Thank u
Hello there,
I looking for alternative to application Perch because since February 17th it is no longer available. Perch was simple home monitoring system that can record video from smartphone camera and all was available to view remotely from another phone or website.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.getperch
I need similiar functionality so one of my smartphones will recording video on stative and another smartphone will get notifications about motion detect with access to show recorded video or live stream.
Can it be possible with some app or kit apps?
The reason it was removed is that it is found to be insecure and all apps that do the same offer the same vulnerability.
I have bought 2 VR glasses. I want to play VR videos from computer and broadcast to 2 Android mobiles (or play VR videos from one of the Android mobile and broadcast to another Android mobile), so that ultimate 2 Android mobiles can synchronically show same video, and my wife and I together can have good video and sharing time. Incoming call from any one Android will also not interrupt the synchronous status. How can I achieve this?
(N.B. No need to concern the voice, since if really needed, I can always mute one or two abundant devices)
