Question Bugged Camera on 12T Pro using the chinese K50 Ultra rom - Xiaomi 12T Pro / Redmi K50 Ultra

So I flashed Xiaomi's china rom (V14.0.23.4.17.DEV (TLFCNXM)) on my 12T Pro unknowingly it's a K50 Ultra rom and it worked! everything is working great until I tried my 12T Pro's camera,
The main camera and selfie camera is reversed, as in, when I'm using the selfie camera, it uses the back camera instead of the front, and when using the back camera, it uses the selfie camera instead. Also it's not actually using the main camera, it's using I think is the ultrawide(?)/or the macro lens as the main camera( the very bottom camera lens ), so my real main camera is useless, and the camera shots are very blurry and has a light red(orange?) filter on it.
I tried using GCam but the issue still persists.
I'm fine without using/utilizing all the 200MP this phone has (though it would be nice if there was a fix), I just want a way to fix the reversed camera for the 12T pro.
I would really really love to stay on this rom, as I dislike using roms/custom roms that isn't officially made by Xiaomi so this chinese rom is a godsend.
So I was wondering,
does anyone know a way to at least fix the reversed camera?

Flash a stock rom for the 12T pro or use a Xiaomi Eu rom.

that's the thing, I don't want to use either the official global or the xiaomi.eu rom and would like to stick to the official chinese rom.
I'm guessing there is no way to fix the reversed camera on the 12T Pro using the K50 Ultra china rom? not even like extracting and flashing files from the global rom while using the chinese rom?

The firmware is different.

While reading that, I had an idea to flash the global EEA 12t pro firmware(14.0.9.0) to my current chinese rom and while my camera is still reversed, it actually now uses the main camera instead of the bottom lens(macro/ultrawide?) and the quality is fixed for the selfie and main camera!, now if only there was a way to fix the reversed camera issue...
edit: after some testing, instead of it using the bottom most lens, it actually uses the middle lens, not the main camera one. Quality is still good though which I find a bit weird. The red filter is gone too.
Now, my banking app needs to verify my face using camera and that of course doesn't work when my camera is bugged out. There is no way to switch between selfie/rear camera inside the built-in camera on my banking app, so it's using the back camera instead of the selfie camera, so with the back camera, no matter how I place the frame to fit my face, it doesn't verify at all....

You should trust the Xiaomi Eu rom as thousands of users do.
Xiaomi Eu rom is present on XDA and has been developing it's rom for 10 years.
5000 downloads for the latest Weekly and 17000 for the stable Miui 14(Based on Cn firmware).
That would be the end of the problem.

You could try replacing /vendor/lib(64)/camera/com.qti.sensormodule.diting_semco_xxxxxxx_wide.bin from 12T Pro, also rename them to the same as your K50U rom.
Better do it by making a Magisk module.

As I have no idea how to make magisk modules, I tried copying and pasting the camera folder from the 12t pro to the chinese rom and vice-versa many times but it doesn't seem to do anything. Also, rebooting the device resets the vendor/lib64/camera folder with the original files...
I noticed that the china rom doesn't have a "com.qti.sensormodule.diting_semco_xxxxxxx_wide.bin" but the 12T pro has it though.

China rom has them, but file names are different. If you move them manually, you also need to disable avb/dm-verity.
Here's a Magisk module to fix K50U camera when flashing 12T Pro EEA rom. You can refer to it.

Oh. My. God. You are a godsend!! It worked!!!, using your files on the zip and through trial and error renaming files trying to find what the camera sensor's file name is, i got it to finally work!
Selfie is now using the selfie cam and the Back camera is finally using the big camera lens! Thanks thanks so much!

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X OmniVision Camera

We discover that there is third camera sensor for Redmi Note 4X its the OV13855 OmniVision sensor.
I want to make a request to the all users whit higher level than my to port the driver camera and make a fix for the users like me to enjo to the all roms avaible in Xda.
Here some info that i found in Miui forum -> http://en.miui.com/thread-519415-11-1.html (last commnet in page 11)
Thats the problem wen flash some Rom the back camera to not work.
So if your back camera dont work start asking for fix.
Yep,I've met this situation,My back camera is OV13855,and any other users flashed thirdpart ROMs can use their back camera as normal. At first The XDA ROM publishers don't notice this camera drivers' thing,I also tried another roms like AXE,RR,Unofficial Los,and any other 3rdpart camera apps, absolutly, the back camera is not woking...Maybe developers will update new driver for OV Ver.Camera?Or just wait for XiaoMi CO. to open sourse?

Pocophone f1 google pixel 3 camera lagging/bugged

Hello to everyone
Im having huge problems with google pixel 3 camera apk.whenever i open the app,its working perfectly for like 2 secs after which camera starts freezing (freezes for 5 secs then unfreezes for a split second and freezes again for 5 secs and so on) it happens in camera/portrait/night sight modes, while its working good in "video/panaorama/slow mo/photosphere" modes....
Has anyone encountered this kinda of lagging/bugging?
i have downloaded the camera apk from many sites, its always the same thing (freezing)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I flashed this https://forum.xda-developers.com/poco-f1/development/rom-pixel-experience-t3857076/post78127106 for Pixel Experience ROM. It uses Google Camera as well, so it might works for you.

Would it work with "lineage os"? Since im really fond of that ROM.
If you are rooted, you have to download the TWRP fix and flash it via your custom recovery. (link below)
If you are non-rooted, you have to follow the given settings from the b-s-g google camera port thread. (link below)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/poco-f1/themes/b-s-g-google-camera-port-developed-mi-8-t3843130
don't choose "Config - BSG PixelPlusNS HDR+". in the settings
I can confirm that Valdamjong`s fix works.I just did the backup of my files and went yolo with the file he provided me with (installed it via TWRP) everything is great and camera is working perfectly, needless to say im on lineageos (v16 currently),I have not tried the other 2 options mentioned but i believe those would work too. (if anyone has this problem like i had it,i suggest trying other 2 options just to see if those are working)
thank you all for you time!
Yesterday i too faced the same issue and i uninstalled the GCam. As per the thread, https://forum.xda-developers.com/poco-f1/themes/b-s-g-google-camera-port-developed-mi-8-t3843130 "You need to be on the MIUI Stable 10.2.2 or higher for this version to work". Today i got MIUI Stable 10.2.2 update on my POCO and now i m going to check whether the freezing issue is gone or not

GCAM For Pixel Experience Redmi 5 plus.

Hi, i am currently using pixels experience custom rom on my device but the current pre installed gcam doesn't had night scene, and sometimes its lagging.. Does anyone have a stable version for gcam selfie and night scene.
Thanks
Just get the last file, which works best for android 9.x pie variants. I'm running it on Syberia OS, and the only issues I have is selfie in portrait mode doesn't work.

After a lot of testing following is working for me (using HavocOS without Gapps):
- flash attached camera_2api.zip (it's from the note 5 plus forum, but works for me)
- flash the attached camera (it's a Magisk module, so Magisk must be flashed too)
As always: making a backup is recommended. Hope I could help.

I think it's Mui Camera. But the package name is "com.android.camera". Version code is 2.0. I attached a screenshot.
I recommend using GCamera_Mod_v.5.1.23_R5Plus_fix_crash for Front Camera on any rom!
And I also recommend bsg-test-8.1 then disabling the location, shutter sound and enabling
the HDR+ Enhanced to prevent crashing then installing MGC_6.1.021_BSG_Arnova-based_v.1.3d_TlnNeun
and configuring it properly If you did that without crashes (Which I have done many times!) then update
to MGC_6.1.021_BSG_Arnova-based_v.1.4a_TlnNeun and done now you have to configure It yourself properly
else It'll be pretty crappy!
If you're dumb and cant understand this then simply flash the MIUI Camera above my post
I recommend xtreme v2s config, and 7hdr frames for day 36 for night and fully working night sight
with good auto-focus in low-light and sharpness etc.

Mi8lite gcam android10

Hi! i just installed 9.12.5 eu rom with android 10 update on my mi 8 lite and i have been having problems with stock camera and *gcam. They don't work anymore even like messenger's camera or whatsapp's.
After i flashed 9.12.5 and re-installed magisk like usual ( it has the HAL3 and camera2api enabler modules ) the cameras stopped working so i re-flashed 9it without installing magisk and the stock camera and app's camera work but obviously not gcam, in the last version with android pie I didn't have this problem . Does this come from the fact that in this new rom the mi 8 lite has been updated to android 10? . Do you have any suggestions so that i can use stock camera/app's camera and use magisk too? Thank you very much.
9.12.6 has been released this morning, it's possible that they have fixed it:
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=4349826312261654252
Even now , If i try to enable the camera2api enabler module on magisk , the stock camera won't function , any advise?
I edited the build.prop file manually (there's an app for editing it in Play Store), my stock camera works, but I couldn't find a working gcam app. So, uninstall all magisk modules and do manual editing. I'm on xiaomi.eu latest version.
Good day! Everything listed above does the job for Android 9 / MIUI 11, but how about Android Q / MIUI 11? Recent update with MIUI 11 based on Android 10 left me sad and broken because now I can't enable Camera2 Api same way I did for Android Pie.
Yes, you can do it the manual way, as I said above. Cam 2 probe will give you Level 3 in green color. I have yet to find a working gcam port for this phone...

Yeah, I got the Level 3 and yes, there's no gcam support, each one prefer to shutdown immediately... Seems like we need to wait for solution.

I did it the same way, (used the build.prop editor from Play Store) but in vain. I couldn't get gcam working. There may be other settings which I couldn't find online, I'm just waiting to see what will come
i'm with you guys... i can't find a functionaly gcam in android Q, miui 11, on mi xiaomi mi 8 lite
I hoppe any devs make a port soon
The file uploaded will give you camera2 support & fix the front camera on miui Q. It works just like the old ones did. The problem is there's something going on with the way the new system is seeing the back camera using camera2. You can test this by installing Open Camera and choosing camera2 in the settings (it'll crash) and apps like Footej won't even open. I believe this is also why all the Gcams are crashing as well. Its getting a lot of IMGLIB mm-camera errors in the log complaining about cam stream type depth not being set & other module depth type errors before the crashes.
Anyone know what this is referring to?

Yeah, they all crash on main rear camera (imx363) activation. Its some camera2/lib problem where 3rd party camera apps using camera2 (including Gcam) aren't seeing that its there for some reason. Here's a crash log if anyone can understand log speak.
Would there be a fix to make the back camera work in the future?

Most likely yes, but not in the next future for sure.Because MI 8 LITE has a bad community support and it will take a while since someone smart enought will find a fix

Anything yet??

How did you enable Camera 2 Api?

Question Any news regarding ANX camera for this device ?

Can we somehow install it ? Or is it in development ? I really want to install PE, but I don't want to lose many of my camera features. what's the status
i've tried it. it's alright but the features are broken/missing. Someone has t he module for RN10 anx but they're still testing it
crdroid fixed the camera bug and has inbuilt twrp recovery.
Any news of a working stand-alone version ? (the CrDroid port doesn't have Macro working anymore on my side)
(or anybody could recommend a Gcam for the Redmi Note 10 ?)
Cheers !

2x seems to be zoomed and not macro for me too.
I am using this Gcam version. Mostly because it is the latest, and because everything I tested worked fine enough. Haven't tested video and some photo options yet though.
