[Question]Unlocking Bootloader & TurboSIM

Hey folks, I've been nugging around the bootloader unlocking problem, since I own a Neo V which is locked, and the service menu in the phone says that the Bootloader cannot be unlocked. So I've read through some threads about this, and I wondered upon the idea, if I unlock my SIM lock(probably with TurboSIM, since thats the cheapest solution), would that enable me to unlock my bootloader, and start the real modifying of my phone?
What do you guys think? Worth's a try?

Both are unrelated but often confused. Unlocking for a different cellular network and unlocking bootloader are completely different sadly.

Moto E XT1527 Bootloader Unlock

I've got a Moto E XT1527 that I've been trying to get the bootloader unlocked for. However, after studying it a bit more, I don't think I'm going to be able to.
I bought it from a guy on eBay that said it was factory unlocked. However, once I got it, I noticed an AT&T emblem on the back and when you turn it on it shows the AT&T logo during the boot process. These are signs that it's not factory unlocked, correct? I'm pretty sure it's a Gophone edition of the Moto E.
I've tried getting an unlock code from the Motorola website, but it keeps coming back with "Your device does not qualify for bootloader unlocking." After digging some more, I found that the device has a cid of 0x0001, which I also understand means it can't be unlocked, correct?
I went to the device unlock page at AT&T and requested an unlock code with them (giving them the IMEI number). That was today, I haven't yet heard back from them. But even if I do get something back from them, that's not going to help me unlock the bootloader is it?
So, I guess my questions are:
Is there any way to unlock the bootloader for Moto E's that have a cid of 0x0001?
Is the eBay guy an idiot for claiming that the phone is factory unlocked when it's clearly marked as being for AT&T?
Sorry, should this be in the Moto E 2015 forums?

Unlocking Bootloader

Hello, yesterday I got my xperia x to get on Sailfish OS, but it turns out Bootloader unlocking is not allowed on this device. Is there anything I can do, flashing a certain firmware, or anything to get the bootloader to unlock? I am of course getting the "command not allowed" fastboot error, and I've enabled OEM unlocking in dev settings.
Check your fastboot/flashmode drivers.
I did, they seem fine. I followed the instructions that jolla provided. I even tried a different USB port. I'd really like to avoid returning it if it's possible.
Are you sure that bootloader unlocking is not allowed? If that's the case, then you can't do anything but return it. Try not to buy carrier specific devices for bootloader unlocking.
I have Sony Xperia X (F5121) bootloader current unlocked and I followed this Article.

Why not go straight to the source, the Sony unlock bootloader page? Fill in the required info and if they send you the unlock code your good to go and follow the directions on the page, if they don't then you know it can't be in theory...

Unlocking bootloader of Moto G Power (2020, sofia) Tracfone Variant and/or downgrading to Android 10

Hello all,
I received a Moto G8 Power (Tracfone variant), running Android 11, and have been experiencing quite a few bugs. I read that Android 11 messed up the phone a bit and that downgrading to Android 10 would fix most issues, however, I am unsure how to do this. I first tried to unlock the bootloader of the phone, but I ran into a dead end as I realized the Tracfone variant of the phone is unsupported by Motorola's unlocking program. I have seen a few threads on how to downgrade with an unlocked bootloader, but as I am unable to unlock it, I am unsure of how to go about this (or if it can be done) with the bootloader locked. Though, if there might be a way to unlock the bootloader, I would much rather install a custom ROM to the phone.
To summarize, I wondered if anyone might know if it is possible to downgrade the Moto G8 Power (Tracfone variant) to Android 10 without unlocking the bootloader. Additionally, if it is possible to unlock the bootloader, how I might go about doing this.
Thank you for the help!
