Try this, after you open the video tap the screen then the circle on the top right.
Samsung Video Player (Android)
Official Samsung video player
samsung-video-player.en.uptodown.com

You can always use a usb c to hdmi cable to connect. I do so to connect S23U to old Sony TV that has no WiFi...

[Q] TV launcher not working - any ideas?

When I connect the supplied HDMI cable between my Xperia S and TV*, I get a notification that HDMI is connected. However, TV launcher doesn't start so I cannot see anything on the TV screen.
Is it possible that an app I have installed is interfering with TV launcher?
Anything else I can try?
Xperia S on O2 UK, TV launcher is v 1.0.A.0.11.
*I've tried 3 different TVs with the same result.
I've now found a TV that it works on, so I know it's not my phone. New question: why doesn't it work on every TV?
Do you select HDMI input on your TV or you just wait until it shows up on TV screen? If the second, bear in mind some TV (if not set) they won't go to HDMI automatically.

Yes, I ensure that I select the correct input. For example on my Toshiba I use HDMI 4 which I choose before connecting the phone. When I do this, the blue Toshiba screen turns to black which probably indicates that something is physically connected to that input, but nothing happens on the phone other than the notification. I did the same on an Asus TV/Monitor and TV launcher starts. On an LG monitor at work it says that it's out of range.

Check via liveware if the tv starter is assigned to the hdmi action ;-)

Im not sure but it might only work on other Sony products.

I don't have a Sony TV to test it on. It has only worked for me on an Asus 24T1E TV/ Monitor.

I have an LG monitor at work and it doesn't work on that. I thought HDMI meant it would work on any display with HDMI inputs.

My phone works fine with my sony bravia tv, i can operate almost everything with my tv remote except i cant input text like in google search...
the keypad opens up but i cant select the alphabets on it, any ideas?
Fixed with ICS
The problem appears to be fixed with the ICS update.
My TV is a Samsung LE32C450E1WXXH with anynet+ CEC support and I had this problem. The best way is the update. This was helped me 'cause before the software uptade the TV doesnt recognise the remote control command to my Xperia P. But after that i turned on the Anynet+ and VOILAA that works!

Connecting Samsung TV (7000) and S3

Dear Folks,
I seen Youtube videos of a S3 displaying photos and video on a Samsung TV. I have a 7000 series Samsung TV and have no idea how to do this.
Can anyone help?
ADC
You should be on the same network with both devices for this to work.
Your Samsung TV should have Allshare, have a look for this with the Smart button on your remote.
Your S3 (Settings>More Setings>Nearby Devices) has a file sharing option, turn it on.
You should see both devices pop up on both displays requested permission to share.
Outside of the same network you need to start creating Samsung accounts on both devices
Thank you - I will try again.
The TV can find the S3 (I9300), but the S3 can't find the TV.
I do have three networks so maybe I'm logged onto the wrong one.
Regards
ADC
Ur tv shud be having wifi direct..
u can also try that..

Try SWL (Samsung Wireless Link)!
i have es6800 and s3. If you want to connect your s3 with tv for youtube. Go to youtube app at s3, press "add tv", go to tv youtube app and at account/pair you will see code and enter that code at your s3. And u will be paired.
In all honesty all you need to be on the same network as your tv, wired or wireless. Then just go to your gallery and press the tv out button, then the media will come up on the telly. Same for music and videos, you do not need all share, nor do you need wifi direct. That's a load of bull. Just a wifi connection and the ability to share. Which phone have been able to offer you since the desire I believe.

Mirror screen (display) from S3 to Smart TV ONLY with wi-fi (wireless)

Hello there,
I am still looking how to mirror the screen of my S3, by mirror I mean to see what I am doing on my S3, not to stream videos, music or pictures..
For example if I play NOVA, I`d like to see on my Smart TV.
So we do have a Smart TV with wifi (wireless) incorporated, my model D6530 (D6500 series), but I cant find the option to mirror screen.
Is there a trick ??? Can somebody find out or make a software to do this..
Hardware both is all ok and accepted, only SW is missing or hide.
Thanks
Even I am looking for the same. But no luck yet.
There is a discussion on this thread about screen cast (screen replication on TV) : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1678135
Looks like its not yet released and will be available in late summer as per facebook sweden update (as per some user's comment in one of the threads)
With All share play app already available you can stream content(video/photos/music) to TV (same as other DLNA apps like iMediaShare).
The only part lacking and I am desperate is AllShare Cast app.
I thought you needed the dangle for all share cast to work? I its not cheap. Hope I'm wrong I've got a dlna Samsung 5series smart tv and use dlna all the time for porn Ammm I mean video viewing and it's great smooth and fast ^o^

Looking for the same too. This what I found so far.
Google for xbounds.
If you got another android that can hook up to tv, you can install MirrorOp apps. Works well but framerate is limited.

I dont need the dongle to carry all ****s with me, I already have a Smart TV with wifi.. dongle is for normal TV without wifi
Hope they will do something about this
yeah, dont really understand why this isnt already possible, the hardware is there, at present you'll just have to manage with your hdmi which makes gaming pretty much impossible comfortably.
This is probably my only gripe with this phone and my last the sgs2.

NOTE: I think allshare only works with the 7000 / 8000 varieties, this was suggested in the sgs2 threads on the subject. I used to have an sgs2 but there was never an option to cast your phone screen without HDMI connection, have to wonder if this option is on the SGS3 at all.

Software apparently needs work...

After receiving the latest firmware update on my phone, it finally shows "AllShare Cast" as an option in settings. Unfortunately, it can not detect the UN60ES7500 I have on display in the showroom (or the PN51E8000), nor the BDE5700 and BDE6500 Blu-Ray players. Nothing shows as a "detected device". I just upgraded the firmware on the UN60ES7500 and no change. I tried connecting via our Wi-Fi network, as well as using "WiFi Direct"...still no dice.
Additionally, the "LiveView" Android app apparently isn't compatible with the Galaxy S III either...so no streaming video from the TV BACK to the phone either...grrr.
Samsung needs some software help, pronto!
@jnemesh
same for me what firmware on S3 you tested ?
Allshare Cast doesnt work yet but already has issues
Salut
I have a 7000 series smart tv + WiFi dongle. I can confirm that Allshare plays photos, music & videos from S3 to tv, but Allshare Cast is not working. also there is PIA bug with Allshare Cast on S3 running latest v.17 Omega rom, when disabled from settings it also disables WiFi Anyone saw this issue? The only option to get rid of that it could be re-flashing the Omega rom without the Allshare Cast.:silly:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7p6nOAcSUsE
so that isn't working now even if you have the dongle and a s3?
:/ did they disable the feature?
this is what i'm trying to figure out ..if you have a smart tv that can stream videos via allshare just fine..then shouldnt hardware wise you have all you need for allshare-cast to work too??
i have a UA46ES6200 and my s3 can not detect it when scanning for allshare-cast devices ...but allshare play is working just fine
but i want screen mirroring :/
this is really annoying, Samsung ever read here ?
or how we can get feedback on this..
I bought S3 for this option (like in commercials), otherwise I would stick with my S1 and S2..
Somebody managed to mirror screen without dongle ?

[Q] Is there a way to share my GS2's display to my TV over WiFi?

I have a Samsung Smart Tv 46inch Full HD. I want to see the phone's display on the Tv over WiFi. The Tv has Wifi capabilities but not bluetooth. Also, I have tried using the microUSB; but it only lets me browse the sdcards. I don't have a microHDMI cable, hence I'm looking for a solution over WiFi. So, is there an app that can share my S2's display to my Smart Tv over WiFi?
Thanks in advance!

Not sure it's hardware or not it was working before but now it isn't .I even went as far as flashing the stock Rom .
Not sure what's the problem on your end. I'm NOT in airplane mode and miracast works flawlessly with the Samsung Smart TV.

I'm having this same issue with my VS990 Verizon LG V10. It did not work on official 11B and now I've rooted and installed xposed, still not working.
My Samsung TV (UN75F6300) says "[phone name] is now connected", but the phone just says "Connecting..." until they both give up and the TV says "Screen mirroring has ended" and the phone just kicks back to the Miracast "Available devices" dialog box, but now empty.

So is Miracast the same thing as Chromecast? I was hoping / expecting for screen mirroring like I enjoyed on my Note 3: I could browse the web, look at the home screen, open any app, and my TV would show exactly what was on my phone screen.

Which is Miracast?
Screen mirroring?
Or "casting" media to a display while able to do other things on the phone?
I was hoping to have screen mirroring with no cable to share Web browsing apps and such. I rarely "cast" things except YouTube, which has it built in if you set up the app on your display.
