Question Service tests menu? - Sony Xperia 1 V

Finally got the Xperia 1 V and loving it so far coming from the Xperia 1 ii
I went into the service menu (accessed by keying *#*#7378423#*#* into the dialler) and find that there is no service tests anymore present, only service info (I used this to track the battery health of my mk2 device).
So the question is, has it been hidden even further or no longer present?
Thanks

XDMService - Remote Control - Samsung GS3

Hello.
I have a question and hope I will get some answers. There is always a service running called XDMService or Remote Control.
What exactly is this service for and how I'm able to deactivate it completely?
Is this service might related to Software Update Service? Because I deactivated auto software updates and this service is still running.
Thanks for any advice

Network mode LTE/WCDMA? *#*#4646#*#* in dialer not working

Hello,
got a new S6 Edge today. Awesome phone...
I want to change network mode. I know there is a detailed menu when typing *#*#4646#*#*
But this does not work on Samsung phones wtf? It worked on Nexus 4, One M7... I'm kind of pissed know.
As I already updated to 5.1.1 there is no option for me to root without touching KNOX. Didn't know this when started the update.
Are there any other options to open the menu or change network mode? Please help

Vibro on Z5 Compact - sometime work, sometime - not

Hi all.
Sometimes, such as when typing stops working vibration. If you shake the device, the vibration working again. What is it? Somehow I can fix it without a visit to a service center? May be this is traditional problem of Sony?
Any Ideas?
Sony Z5 Compact Rooted, unlocked bootloader. SW stock ***.152.
Got the same problem but mine fell down alot so I think thats why it happened sending it to a service center might be the only solution

NFC Service has stopped

Hello,
Whenever I try to transfer photos from my S6 Edge to my wife's Z3 compact via Android Beam ( NFC ) I get the error : Unfortunately the NFC Service has stopped, every single time. NFC is working, I've tried with a few NFC tags and my Sony Smartband. If I transfer photos via Android beam from the Z3 compact to my Edge it is working. I've tried with another phone an Z1 compact, same issue , from my Edge to Z1 I get the NFC error, but from the Z1 compact to my Edge it is working.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
No one? Today I've tried with an Galaxy S6 same problem, I can receive files through Android Beam but if I want to send a photo I get the NFC Service has stopped error. My phone is not rooted and is running the latest firmware.

Try going to settings > application manager > more > show system apps > nfc service and force close it. Reboot phone and try again
Thanks for the answer. I've managed to solve the problem. In application manager I've clicked the option Reset app preferences and now it works. It had something to do with Apps that can appear on top, I've disabled some system apps a month ago and that was the problem.

E5823 - Radio Band Mode setting mistake preventing all calls

I'm new to the forum, and did try searching for relevant threads first, but possibly due to poor use of the search tool haven't found a solution.
I'm living in the UK and have an Xperia Z5 Compact E5823 with build number 32.4.A.1.54 which has been working wonderfully for years.
To my great regret, I was too hasty while looking around the menu found using *#*#4636#*#* and seem to have caused a serious problem with no simple solution. I was looking in Phone Information > overflow menu > Select Radio Band which brought up a box called "Set Radio Band Mode" which only had one option of "United States" which I fatefully pressed instead of backing out of that option.
Though I didn't realize it immediately, the phone now seems completely unable to make phone calls, though data is still working.
While I've never dealt with rooting before, I consider myself relatively capable when it comes to computers and technology, just haven't had the need to dig into android much before. What little I've found online seems to indicate that simple steps like a Factory Reset won't work. I'm willing to try whatever's needed in order to restore functionality, but didn't want to waste any more time or cause any more problems than I already have by trying things blindly.
I would be most appreciative of any help or thoughts about what to try to resolve this. Thanks.
Hi,
I'm pretty new to the phone, but did you already take a look at the service menu (*#*#service#*#*), particularly under "Service Info" - "Configuration" to figure out what exactly might have been set incorrectly?
Cheers,
r.

I think you should make a software repair with the tool Xperia Companion
Thanks for the input
I did look through service menu mentioned, but was unable to correct the accidently changed Radio Band Mode setting.
I tried to use Xperia Companion to perform a backup, but couldn't get it to work. I didn't try a software repair, that may have been a good solution.
I ended up performing a factory data reset, and though it was a bit of a pain to get everything setup again on my phone, it did succeed in fixing the problem with the Radio Band Mode.

Good you got it working again, though you had to take the brute-force route.
Would you mind sharing what the service menu revealed in terms of the wrong bands?
I didn't actually make any notes on the band information displayed, as I already knew my phone wasn't able to make calls. Without seeing any way of reactivating bands from that menu I moved on to other possible solutions.
