Is it possible to playback sound on XDA while call is active, so the opposite side will hear what is playing?

[Q] Static in Volume buttons

During music play, has anyone else noticed small amount of static when changing volume. This happens to me particularly when increasing the volume control. However, it is very inconsistent. When I say static, I mean there is a volume increase (or decrease) with some amount of "other" sound added in. This was not something I noticed with my ipod touch and was just curious if anyone else has this or it's a hardware or software issue.
Do you see when playing music through the speaker only, or with earphones as well?
Speaker is not clear enough to hear if there is any audible noise during volume increase or decrease. . . also hear it when using other music players such as cubed. Also, I was listening through my earphones to Avatar and even though the audio is very clear, when increasing and decreasing the volume I still hear what I guess is better described as a small pop instead of static. That might be a better description for the music noise as well.
Static, crackle, pop
I've been listening to audio books on my Vibrant lately and I've noticed this happening a lot. I've heard it through headphones and I have even heard popping / crackling on the speaker when it plays notification sounds.
Did this turn out to be a defect or is it an issue that everyone has occassionally but just ignores?
Thanks
Does this happen when using the on-screen volume control in the music app or only the rocker button?
Mine will actually crackle even when I'm not touching it.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Yes mine too. It will sporadically "skip" in all music players whether I'm using headphones or not.
Vibrant vibrating nicely now,Kthx!

[Q] Mono sound on video playback

Anyone else noticed that mp4 videos playback in mono when using the system codecs? I've tried a few other video apps, some do playback with stereo sound, but have stuttering and dropping of frames.
All of them play back perfectly with no frame drop if you select system but sadly have mono sound.
I've tried using a2dp and the headphone jack.

Recommended video rec settings for concert vids?

I made the usual mistake of trying to record video at a (rock) concert last night on the S2 and the sound was appalling - levels way too high and distorted beyond belief. This happens every time so I really should know better.
Does anyone have any handy hints for getting half-decent sound from concert video recordings, or is it basically a waste of time on this device?
As far as I know, no-one has managed to lower the microphone volume. Just do yourself and everyone around you a favour and leave the phone at home and enjoy the concert.
I agree with oinky, but if you're on a stock based ROM, then an option for you is to bring along a headset that has a mic and plug it in while recording. Gain using the headset mic is acceptable, but it will then only record in mono.

SGS2S have build-in stereo mic??
AFAIK SGS2S record mono despite internal or headset external mic so tip with headset mic can actually be a proper solution.

Yes. Uses both mics (regular voice mic + NR mic) for stereo audio recording while recording video.

[Q] Galaxy S3 [Audio in Video Recorder question]

Hi guys, did you notice the audio in the video recording of our Galaxy S3 having louder volume at the left side if you use a headset?
And also I can hear a small cracking sound at the right side during the video playback (Of the recorded video).
I tried the voice recording and there's no cracking sound at all. Is this an issue in the video recorder of our device?
TIA
Using an app called tape recorder I recorded some audio using the s2 and the s3. The results showed the quality of the mics were the same. The ****ty audio quality is only produced when recording video. this proves the hardware is ok. Just needs sorting in the app itself.
Just hope samsung have it on their list of things to fix.

[Q] Hissing sound on 3rd party earphones

Anyone experiencing a hissing sound when using a 3rd party earphone? I'm using my Sennheiser CX-300II and I get hissing sound when playing music (poweramp), movies (mx player) and when playing games. The hissing sound start when I play/start the audio. Apparently, when using the walkman app, it's crystal clear.

Same here using Shure SE535LTD-J, but it is only noticeable when I am using earphone, not headphone. It is normally happen w/ PC and other phone(My friend said this is because of impedance or something like that). And I have another device that plays music very well, so I am not so annoyed about this noises.
Maybe walkman app has some libs to do with these things(not sure!).
