[HowTo] Change the logo of GSM provider - MDA, XDA, 1010 General

The Nokia 6150 was my previous phone and the GSM provider's logo can be replaced by ourself. But how about the XDA ?? yes~~
I bought my XDA which named "TCC PDA 200" from our local phone compay, it comes with a default logo for their system only, it looks like

When we insert a different GSM system's SIM card, we can only get a text string:
After the modification, the result looks like
System provider's logo will show up at the upper-right conner when recive a call :
And the logo also show when making a call
Here is the way to do this :
1.You need a tool to modify the registry, such as
PHM Registry Editor
2.Find the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\PhoneExtendFunction\CarrierLogo
** Notes : It is "ControlPanel" but not "Control Panel". It's just a single word, not 2.
3.Add the GSM Provider's code word as the key name, type = string, and the full filename (with directory) of the picture as the value.
When the modification was done, restart the phone then you will see it.
If you don't know the code word, you may look it up at here

So, for o2 the operator code would be CLNET? Anyone know if there's a newer one?
And for the pictures, anything in the root of the PPC would need no path - just logo-o2.gif. And what formats are supported? GIF, JPEG, BMP?

I have a T-mobile pocket PC phone and there is no CarrierLogo setting in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\PhoneExtendFunction\ entry, Do I have to create one?

works fine on my T-Mobile Germany. I've added an entry for 26201 which is the providers code in the registry below the
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\PhoneExtendFunction\CarrierLogo tree.
I had no time to figure out the optimal bitmap size, the GIF is use has 150x26 pixel, which works fine for most notifications, but when dialing a number, only parts of the logo is shown ...

The correct size is...
20px(H) x 110px(w)
The icon is displayed both in the Message Window and in the Phone Application. The Phone app requires the smaller height..

In my Xda, don't have the path "CarrierLogo" under "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\PhoneExtendFunction"
I think I have to create it for myself, but for the others setting..........
Can any one kind enough to post a walkthrough?

Here is the screen shut when using PHM registry editor when modify it:
There are 2 entry in my "TCC PDA 200", the "46697" is the default logo of my "TCC PDA 200", and it's the only availiable logo when I bought it. The other entry "46601" is the GSM provider which I'm using in my PDA 200.
I'll explane the procedure step by step:
1.Find your GSM provider's code number from here
2.Create your GSM provider's logo, or whatever you want
3.1.Modify the registry, if the key "PhoneExtendFunction\CarrierLogo" doesn't present in your XDA, you have to create it via "Edit -> New Key" in the PHM first.
3.2.Then create the entry for your GSM system via "Edit -> New String", put the "code number" as the "Value name" (ex:46601) and the \path\filename.ext as the "Value data" (ex: \windows\Logo-Fetnet.jpg)
4.Restart your phone.
You can use JPG/GIF/BMP and any size for the logo, the pop-up window will self-adapt to the logo.
From other fourm, it seems that not all the PocketPC Phone Edition device support this function, such as ETEN P60x series . Any one who have a PPC PE device other then XDA can check if the file "\windows\carrierlogo" present in your device or not. If your device support for the GSM logo, you will see the file, I think.

Sorry, I've no idea to get a Chinese ROM in the web, sorry.
PS.
The version of the Traditional Chinese ROM is really old then other language's one, especially for the radio module -- 3.1x, us Taiwan - the home of the XDA - user still hunger for the update from the HTC.

I tried several pictures (gif, jpg, bmp, png) and different sizes from small dots to large ones. No luck.

Guys, I'm using 3.15.15 ROM and no success...
Where to get older version of rom? And can I just downgrade the ROM?
Any site which contains ROMs for XDA so I can easily choose?

Don't throw away your 3.15.15 just because it doesn't suport GSM provider logo You can try 3.16.13 however, but it's old... (AFAIK and noflames)
