Please any one come across Error 101:Connection Error in HimaUpgradeUt.exe ? I was using Tmobile 1.72 beta and trying to upgrade to imate 1.72 Official, the upgrade program started, and hang at 40%, forced to reset, and my O2 hang at O2 Splash screen.
I tried hard-reset, and still hang at O2 Splash screen, and when I try to reinstall/upgrade/download, the upgrade program prompt me this error 101:connection error, any one have this before.

Reset your device into bootloader (arrow any direction + power + soft reset)
Disable any firewall you may have on your PC (I have had problems with ZoneAlarm)
Restart the upgrade program
I had a problem with Zone Alarm as well. I didn't need to hard reset, though.

hi everyone,
i have a huge problem. my rom flash for my i-mate (qtek 2020, mdaII, XDAII) hung during flashing (from 1.66 to 1.72 official i-mate rom) during the ce upgrade step 2. now my i-mate just hangs at the blue i-mate screen and i cant connect to it through pc anymore, get error 101. is there any way to get a good rom on it again (can i connect to the ppc by another way, other software or sd-card0 so it will work again, or does it have to be epaired at at a rapaircenter?

If all that happened was it hung during upgrade you can put the device into bootloader, power+d-pad+softreset button, and attempt upgrade again, but if OS you were upgrading to is corrupt causing the hang a new rom might be the way to go, www.buzzdev.net has everything i needed, or clubimate.com
I have same problem. My q-tec100 is reseting so I can' connect it to pc for flashing again. Please tel me what is bootloader and what is d-pad button so thad i can stop it from reset and connecting for flash

It really isn't hard to do. But be sure you know what you are doing btw. SO read the sticky!
Basically you just download the flavor of Hard SPL you want (I used 2.10 which I can recommend, very easy to downgrade to factory SPL again as I just learned!).
After download unzip the folder and run the RUUWrapper. Follow instructions exactly, do nout unplug your device etc. and it should work like a charm. It takes about 1 minute!
If you don't know what you are doing or you are still doubting, wait for Mr Vanx site to come online again or don't flash. There is always a risk you screw up and end with a $500 brick.
So use at your own risk!

hi guys have tried to update mine today on a jasjam it connects sys it updating but starts at 0% then just jumps to 100% and says flash finished but when i restart the phone it still has the same loader what am i doing wrong i want to update it from windows 5 to windows 6 using crc-9 but don't want to update till i do the loader any help from you guys would be great

Mine is doing the exact same thing. Starts at 0% and jumps to 100% and says it is done, but it has done nothing.

the SPL flash is VERY quick.
I'll ask YOU this aswell, put your device into bootloader mode and tell us what it says.

thanks for your reply after checking the bootloader it has changed to 2.10 olie it did it so fast i thought it had failed will check properly next time and have successfully flashed it to crc 9 and it runs great thanks for all the help

I appreciate your reply Mr. Vanx. Same as with puca, I put my phone into the bootloader mode and it does indeed show the correct 2.10 Olipro version. This is the 3rd 8525 I have had and I could have SWORN it took much longer on the first 2. Even the update from WM5 to WM6 seemed to take much less time with this particular phone. Guess I shouldn't really complain
Downgrade Error 260
Hi Mr Vanx I have followed your guide to downgrade my current SSPL (2.10 Olipro) to SSPL (1.11). But I keep getting error 260. I have followed guide step by step.
I have even tried flashing from SD-Card (by renaming to HERMING.nbh). Process runs successfully, but nothing happens.
Its still showing SSPL-2.10 Olipro in bootloader. Am I missing anything?

can some one point me to the guide. I am facing a NO GSM problem on vodafone VPA 1605 with following config:
ROM Version: 1.20.161.6
Radio: 1.03.06.00
CID: VODAP001
Bootloader: 1.04
I do not see the radio version or the IMEI. So I would like to do a HARDSPLv7 followed by Radio ROM update to 1.06.00.10. I hope this will work. Seniors may help with their sggestion.

I installed a program for sound, When I do a soft reset it hangs on Blue Imate page and didn't boot.
I tried to hard reset but it dosen't worked too(I know hard reset of it, is Green+FN+Power button) but it don't work, Also I tried to install a fresh Rom but it need to loud windows.
Please help how to hard reset it.

After Flashed with the new ROM, My Device is now stuck in iMate Blue Screen Logo....!!!
But Don't worry Guys...it can be solved with manually hard Reset...
1. Remove battery and reinsert (to make sure the phone is off).
2. Hold down Fn and the Green button (with the phone icon on it) and press the power button.
3. You will see the white hard reset option screen almost immediately. Press the Left Soft Key to hard reset.

Hi all, first of all I am no geek, I would like to unlock my HTC TYTN so that I may use other sims while abroad etc. I have read the instructions, downloaded v£a of the Sim Cid unlocker, however every time I run the unlocker my phone shuts down and reboots. I have tried with the phone without sim with none network sim with Orange sim same result phone shutys down and reboots. I have tried waiting till it is connected via active sync after rebooting but it nust keeps rebooting. I have even manually loaded the hard spl and run it on the phone but my phone shuts reboots and the spl has not been updated. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?.

I have kept trying but still the phone keeps rebooting everytime I try to unlock. Device status uis as follows

does any of this indicate I would have a problem using current unlock version 3a?.

Check to see if the SPL has changed... Go to bootloader - hold power, OK above flywheel and reset with stylus. hold until tri-colour screen comes up. It will tell you your IPL and SPL.
It may already have flashed and that means you can update your rom with more safety.
Do you get any errors when running the pc? For instance [error 260](pretty common).
If that error keeps coming up you need to COMPLETELY remove activesync and then reload. All sync relationships MUST be deleted too. That fixed mine

My mobile at&t 8525 alias HTC 8525 is stuck in windows operator logo.It would not boot further. It happened while I tried to upgrade it from Windows 5.0 to Windows 6.0.First I got a tri-colour screen,but in a hurry I tried to backgrade to windows 5.0 again.
Other problem the mobile cannot be synced. I have installed Microsoft Active sync 4.5. Even then it could not be synced.
I tried to read all the posts ,but could not understand anything.
So please help me in getting my mobile repaired
Don't worie.
I had somewhat the same issue with a bad ROM flash.
Just disconnect the USB and boot to the bootloader screen (the tricolour screen) and you should be able to reflash the phone again.
Problem in syncing the mobile
I am not able to sync the mobile to the laptop.I have installed Microsoft Active sync 4.5. Even then it is not syncing.So how could I run the hermes upgrade if the mobile is not helping.

In Activesync on PC - Untick "Allow USB Connections".
Put the Hermes into bootloader (tri-colour screen) and connect by usb. Run the RUU_Wrapper.exe file you want. Follow onscreen instructions.
You need to have installed Hard SPL V7 for this to work...

you dont need an active sync connection to flash it. Enter bootloader(tri colour screen) as you were told in the previous posts and Just click on the boxes that you do have a connection(even though you dont) and then flash the rom.
@ultramag69 i hve never had to untick allow usb connections and i have cocked up loads of rom flashes, saying that i have never had a problem flashing in vista either so maybe i am lucky
If you still cant flash doing it this way, then maybe you should try flashing from sd card instead, just make sure the battery is fully charged. Full instructions of how to do this are found in the hermes wiki, which i advise you to read anyway.
Oh and good luck anyway, you should be able to recover the phone from this ,so i wouldnt fret too much

there are many official roms.
I also am currently using an 8525 (Herm100). It was received from an Ebay deal with WM5. I flashed it with the ATT OEM WM6pro (aka shipped wm6). Once it hit the three color boot screen, it sat on that for a couple of minutes then started cooking. Once it showed a progress bar, it took about 3 minutes to cook the WM6 over the WM5. It also showed a popup that stated going back to WM5 was not an option.
I would suggest running the installer again and going down to 7-11 for a refreshment. You may not have let it percolate long enough to set itself up for the actual ROM overwriting.

I had a problem here, need help.
I upgrade my dopod 838pro to Window Mobile 6.5.3, after upgrade it keep stuck on start up and just show start up screen, cannot turn on. I had try soft reset and hard reset still the same. Now the device cannot connect with ACTIVE-SYNC, then I cannot flash another ROM. Any Solution ?
I was having the same problem when i installed the WM6.5 titanium. Just hard reset it and wait a little lobger.
