Soft Reset from Bootloader/WM2003 and it Hard Reset my Qtek

Hello All,
Something freaky just happend. I was reading a thread about how someone was unable to access his Bootloader after a WM 2003 install and decided to go into Bootloader mode. No problems there, so I did a soft reset to get out of Bootloader mode and Boom! 'Tap here to set up your device' displayed amid the 'Bliss' background.
I had to setup the device from scratch. Luckily not all that much loss of software and I only lost one appointment which I still remember. Can you guys with WM 2003 try it and let me know your results? Please backup your data first!
Thanks
Yep same thing here! i tried it fater upgrading and its just like i did a hard reset...

Same here!
BTW I'm using a US T-Mobile PPCPE.

Help needed, Error 101:CONNECTION ERROR

Please any one come across Error 101:Connection Error in HimaUpgradeUt.exe ? I was using Tmobile 1.72 beta and trying to upgrade to imate 1.72 Official, the upgrade program started, and hang at 40%, forced to reset, and my O2 hang at O2 Splash screen.
I tried hard-reset, and still hang at O2 Splash screen, and when I try to reinstall/upgrade/download, the upgrade program prompt me this error 101:connection error, any one have this before.
Please help, thanks
Reset your device into bootloader (arrow any direction + power + soft reset)
Disable any firewall you may have on your PC (I have had problems with ZoneAlarm)
Restart the upgrade program
I had a problem with Zone Alarm as well. I didn't need to hard reset, though.

plz help, i-mate dead after failed flash, error 101
Hi,
If all that happened was it hung during upgrade you can put the device into bootloader, power+d-pad+softreset button, and attempt upgrade again, but if OS you were upgrading to is corrupt causing the hang a new rom might be the way to go, www.buzzdev.net has everything i needed, or clubimate.com
I have same problem. My q-tec100 is reseting so I can' connect it to pc for flashing again. Please tel me what is bootloader and what is d-pad button so thad i can stop it from reset and connecting for flash

Hi,
The same thing happened to me with 3.43c. The only way I got passed the WM screen was to hard reset it. Give that a go and see if it helps.

Why not try to reflash the OS again?
read the WIKI:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_For_Beginners#hardreset
Hi siulung,
I believe that you do this by pressing both of the soft keys to the left and right of under the screen and press reset.
Cheers
Subzuk
Siulung,
I would not do any more until you have done a serious amount of reading. The wiki link in the previous post is a good start.
Good luck.

HTC Dopod 838 pro bricked

I got a dopod 838 pro of a friend with wm5 and upgraded it to wm6. This worked fine but i wasn't happy with the way it was behaving so I downloaded a original rom from dopod asia. When I flashed it it completley it **** itself at radio flashing. It now boots and gets stuck on the windows mobile screen and won't do anything, i've tried tapping the screen, pushing every button and hard reset a few times. Could someone please help me, I used this thing every day before it bricked.
If you have Hard sPLed your phone to SPl 2.10 olipro, I'd suggest trying to flash a stock rom with the sd card to see if you can restore your radio rom. You may have corrupted it and it may never work as a phone again. I'd still try the stock rom then reflash what you want if it works... You can find the instructions for sd card flashing on the wiki with a quick search...
Hope this helps... Cheers
