MY Hermes was dead after upgrad to WM6 PRO 3.54c ROM

i upgraded my hermes to WM6 PRO 3.54c ROM. the phone operated well in the begining. however, when i was access the Today Music Plug-in, the phone was reboot by itself then could not entry wm 6 again (can not pass the wm6 green page and reboot and reboot again)
please help me

The same thing happened to me with 3.43c. The only way I got passed the WM screen was to hard reset it. Give that a go and see if it helps.

Why not try to reflash the OS again?

I believe that you do this by pressing both of the soft keys to the left and right of under the screen and press reset.

i'm a newbie
i'm to excite to upgrade my new 818 pro G4 WM 5 which i bought last week..i read few post regarding on how to upgrade into WM 6..then..
1stly i've tried the upgrade package,click the hardSPL,works well after that..but i'm quite lost for step 3 & 4..so i just stop there..
i noted that my SPL change into 2.G4.4PDA
then i read korand post, bout that new rom..i've tried it & it works well,my 818 pro with WM 6..
at the same time, i try to upgrade my IPL into 2.20 but after download it,my avast detect trojan in it..so i just leave it
then i read bout crystal rom..get so excite with the features & function (also the touchflo)
so i upgrade it..
now is the problem..
after i make the hard reset (camera button, comm button & on/off (soft reset button) & reset button below(next to usb/cable slot)..
i STUCK in boot screen which shows
IPL 2.15.0001
SPL 2.G4.4PDA
GSM 02.19.21
OS 6.0.0.255
it just stuck there,no led light..
i've tried upgrade rom back to normal,but no avail as my activesync cannot detect my device.
i've tried the hard reset for few time,yet nothing happen..still the same
searchin for help in wiki,yet still no solution or maybe i'm to panic
plz help me to restore it,or maybe make it alive as normal again..

for overnight i searchin & lookin how to restore my device..
(not enough sleep )
this is how i do it instead doing the usually hard reset..
my device is on & the usb cable from my device connect to laptop..
yet still stuck at the boot screen..then
i press the green button (to make phone call) + comm button + soft reset (on/off button) all a the same time (those 3 button only)
then my screen turn into 3 different color..red,green or blue (i dont quite remember already hihihi)
so, i use the 'korand' rom update utility to restore it..with his wm 6 rom
waallaa..my 818 pro is alive again...with wm 6 !!
thanks to korand for his rom, or from whomever the contributer..thank a lots !!
i think i still wanna upgrade into different type of rom..
but my SPL looks different then normal SPL i've see..

I just have one thing to say you play with your "IPL" when you don't know what you are doing and you brick your phone for real !! and I mean you will brick it as like it wont even turn on !! don't think about playing around with IPL. your SPL is fine. it's HardSPL now. you can upgrade other roms, just read the wm6 guide , follow step by step and you will be fine.
one more time, if you like your device and you want to keep it (and use it) don't play around with it's IPL

well, i guess i do like this kind of tech..i'm fast learning (usually from mistakes) risk always be my companion ..
one thing i'm curious about..if i want to upgrade to any other roms, should i upgarde my IPL 1st?..just like i try to use your personal crystal rom..why didnt i make it well, even though i follow the instruction step by step?
After i using those Korand's rom..everything is fine except my battery !!
i charging it & i notice that my device is getting hot !!..
i know this is not well..so i need to upgrade into others roms which more suitable with my device..

on second thought,it wisely not to disturb the IPL as you've mention except for those a genius
bout the battery,after few reset.. it back to normal..no hot anymore
i think i better stick with this rom for awhile.. as it is nice,stable & fast..+ more xtra storage..
In general, just leave IPL and SPL alone. Most ROMs (except WM5) work regardless of IPL/SPL and it's better to avoid bricking/damage.
Hi there, I have just upgraded or should i say tried to upgrade to the new WM6 coffie ROM and the Krystal ROM but with both of these I can flash, however upon reboot it stays at the 3 colour screen
I have followed the Hard SPL guide for a G3 ---- Check
So what have I done? please someone help - it's a mates phone
also I tried to go back to the original WM5 from the FTP site, but it fails because I have updated the SPL, I would appreciate a link to a WM5 that doesn't check and that is in english........ if that would fix the problem
One last thing - i tried to use the update tools again but it says there is no device connected so I did a hard reset and tried again but no go, after a hard reset i can flash the other roms though

Hey there, would this be the problem? I thought Jumpspl was included in the initial upgrade tools folder?
Is this the same? and also does this problem (tri color screen) happen when it hasn't been properly flashed with the hard spl?

that is good and for experience users, mine is mostly for juniors. Please read and nothing bad.
The jumpspl... 100% work, and follow the steps, never fail.
Will your method work when not booting?
Just read your method and I hope to try it soon, but will your method work if it is not booting --- the method sounds like it needs the system to boot is this correct?

Can anyone please post a guide on how to flash Hard-SPL onto my HTC TYTN.
The guide for installing Hard-SPL onto the HERMES is not available anymore, and i am EXTREMELY confused about what im doing, and i am afraid i will brick my phone if i do something wrong.

It really isn't hard to do. But be sure you know what you are doing btw. SO read the sticky!
Basically you just download the flavor of Hard SPL you want (I used 2.10 which I can recommend, very easy to downgrade to factory SPL again as I just learned!).
After download unzip the folder and run the RUUWrapper. Follow instructions exactly, do nout unplug your device etc. and it should work like a charm. It takes about 1 minute!
If you don't know what you are doing or you are still doubting, wait for Mr Vanx site to come online again or don't flash. There is always a risk you screw up and end with a $500 brick.
So use at your own risk!

hi guys have tried to update mine today on a jasjam it connects sys it updating but starts at 0% then just jumps to 100% and says flash finished but when i restart the phone it still has the same loader what am i doing wrong i want to update it from windows 5 to windows 6 using crc-9 but don't want to update till i do the loader any help from you guys would be great

start the device in bootloader, what is displayed?
Mine is doing the exact same thing. Starts at 0% and jumps to 100% and says it is done, but it has done nothing.

the SPL flash is VERY quick.
I'll ask YOU this aswell, put your device into bootloader mode and tell us what it says.

thanks for your reply after checking the bootloader it has changed to 2.10 olie it did it so fast i thought it had failed will check properly next time and have successfully flashed it to crc 9 and it runs great thanks for all the help

I appreciate your reply Mr. Vanx. Same as with puca, I put my phone into the bootloader mode and it does indeed show the correct 2.10 Olipro version. This is the 3rd 8525 I have had and I could have SWORN it took much longer on the first 2. Even the update from WM5 to WM6 seemed to take much less time with this particular phone. Guess I shouldn't really complain
Downgrade Error 260
Hi Mr Vanx I have followed your guide to downgrade my current SSPL (2.10 Olipro) to SSPL (1.11). But I keep getting error 260. I have followed guide step by step.
I have even tried flashing from SD-Card (by renaming to HERMING.nbh). Process runs successfully, but nothing happens.
Its still showing SSPL-2.10 Olipro in bootloader. Am I missing anything?

can some one point me to the guide. I am facing a NO GSM problem on vodafone VPA 1605 with following config:

Bootloader: 1.04
I do not see the radio version or the IMEI. So I would like to do a HARDSPLv7 followed by Radio ROM update to 1.06.00.10. I hope this will work. Seniors may help with their sggestion.

I installed a program for sound, When I do a soft reset it hangs on Blue Imate page and didn't boot.
I tried to hard reset but it dosen't worked too(I know hard reset of it, is Green+FN+Power button) but it don't work, Also I tried to install a fresh Rom but it need to loud windows.
Please help how to hard reset it.

After Flashed with the new ROM, My Device is now stuck in iMate Blue Screen Logo....!!!
But Don't worry Guys...it can be solved with manually hard Reset...
1. Remove battery and reinsert (to make sure the phone is off).
2. Hold down Fn and the Green button (with the phone icon on it) and press the power button.
3. You will see the white hard reset option screen almost immediately. Press the Left Soft Key to hard reset.

I upgrade my dopod 838pro to Window Mobile 6.5.3, after upgrade it keep stuck on start up and just show start up screen, cannot turn on. I had try soft reset and hard reset still the same. Now the device cannot connect with ACTIVE-SYNC, then I cannot flash another ROM. Any Solution ?

Please don't panic! If you see when connect the phone to the computer and USB message on the bottom of prophet screen update is posible. So try to put original WM5 on the phone. Read dioxda2 post for more. For sure you don't hardspl your phone before flashing....

Thank you very much, my problem solved using the WM5 flashing process.
I thought it's impossible to get the phone connected to PC because activesync wasn't establishing a connection to the phone, but obviously I was wrong.
After flashing WM5, I performed a HSPL on the phone, and then used the file again, and the phone was upgraded to WM 6.5 with no problem.
I previously had downloaded your 6.5 ROM from a crappy forum, which was only including a download link and some useless info, and since I was a newbie myself D), I didn't even know that I should have performed a HSPL before upgrading the OS.
