¿Games? - MDA, XDA, 1010 General

Do you know where to get freeware games for XDA1?.
I would like to know also if it's is possible to run old PC games in XDA

pc games no not that i know off
the arm cpu line is not x86 (pc) compatible
and i dont know of any emulator which can pull it off
many old pc games like doom and quake and such have been ported to pocketpc though
http://www.ppc4all.com/appdetail.php?id=1721
just search on google there are tons of sites which have tons of games where many are free
this is the search that i made to get quake
http://www.google.dk/search?q=pocket+quake&ie=UTF-8&hl=da&btnG=Google-søgning
i'm sure if you snoop around you can find tons of games

I always found putting too many games will make your XDA go slower!

i think that goes for any program type

[Q] Playing android games on PC?

I know this is a weird question but is it possible to play android games on pc with an emulator or something? I heard that there is an android emulator for pc so you can check out the os design and stuff like that but is it possible to install games (.apk) on it and play it?
Thanks for answers.
The Android SDK comes with an emulator, and you can use adb to install apps onto it, but it is incredibly slow!

Though that's likely to not work with some games - if they've used any C++ code, that'll be compiled for the Arm CPU rather than x86
Youwave for Android works great! My son wanted to play Robodefense on the PC so I found this little piece of software that's simple and uses .apk files I had on my G-Tablet.

I had high hopes for youwave after installing Android SDK and packages (They were really slow). Youwave seems nice and quick, but the first two apps I tried to play wouldn't work due to them not being supported by youwave
You can use Emulators to play games on PC
Some emulators come with inbuilt app store from which you can install and play the games.
For example Youwave. But they do have limitation like they cannot handle games that use ARM native code.
Also some famous games like fruit ninja , Angry Birds are available to be played online itself.

Arcade Game

Is there anyway that i could play street fighter Iv in our optimus one?
Or are there any game similar to it that is made for an android os?
Uhh, how about MAME?
http://androidandme.com/2009/04/reviews/android-arcade-mame-emulator-for-android-on-g1/
that app is hard to find. no longer on the market, and the .apk I found at 4shared would open on my optimus v, but FC'd every time I tried to run a game. boo. wish it worked.
I read the optimus one isn't too different than the v, so I hope this is useful data.
tiger arcade in the market runs a few mame roms.
Get Gameboid or Gensoid or one of those emulators, you're bound to find arcade games on those consoles.
Thanks for the response..i'll check on your suggestions if i'll have some free time....i think i'll start with psx
I would really like game developers to create cross platform games..I really like to see our android os to play some of those games available to iphone and the like

Unreal 3 games port on Android

I was wondering if anybody knows a way to run unreal 3 pc games on android...and a way to export them? I think that most of the files are identical on pc xbox ps3 and android so we will need them and an apk to do the other job.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
Actually no, the files are not identical. I have done quite a bit of tinkering on both PC and console Unreal 3 games. The console resources are all optmized and packed according to the target platform, to make loading faster and enable streaming load on platforms with low RAM(eg consoles). Also even you got around that(no public SDK available that can convert to/from the console specific formats(and i'm guessing that includes android) you would need to find a way to handle all the different scripting commands and platform specific functions.
Very interesting.

it is possible if you have source code of game & in-depth knowledge of game development on android & PC but it will be very hard to port an HD heavy graphics PC game on android and you have too many programming barriers to port PC game to android like codes for C++ of pc may not properly work on Android NDK or you may have to write the full java source code instead of C++ for android
so 20% chances are there to port
press thanks if i hepl you
Life is Strange, isn't it?
I noticed that Life is Strange is on the Unreal Engine, I asked the developers on Twitter to port it, I don't see how it isn't possible.
We can play every single TellTale Game on Android, Goat Simulator, Slender, and even Call of Duty and Turbo Dismount. Saying it's impossible is stupid. If the game was literally built on an engine that can have a selection to Android just like that, how is it impossible? Not to mention San Andreas is possible? GTA III? It's literally stupid to say it's impossible, and one day I'll be a game developer and figure it out myself.

Any GameBoyAdvance emulators compatible with PC emulators?

Are there any Game Boy Advance emulators on Android which create saves compatible with any GBA emulators for PC?
I would like to take my games on the go, but also be able to pay them on the PC at home, and move them back to the phone whenever I need to.
Also, as far as I know there are no emulators for Android which support things like pokemon trading, link cable, etc. but it IS possible on the PC.
Thanks.

App (or software) for detecting what APIs/etc. a mobile game uses?

I'm trying to see why a couple Android emulators on my PC won't run a certain game (CSR 2), so i was wondering if there was a way I could detect what all kinds of things the gpu utilizes to see if BlueStacks has previous issues with.
Edit: IF this is the wrong forum category plz lemme know
