During the complicated questions, and following so many topic about widcomm bluetooth driver for XDA II. Can anyone post here which widcom bluetooth driver to download that surely works great on our XDAII and also what to do after installing that widcomm so the original bluetooth doesn'y appear anymore.... what registry should we edit

careful; read the posts and a lot of people said that after they installed the stack their headsets refused to work with the phone. something like the stack installing properly; recognized and probably bonded with the headsets but refused to transfer the calls. might end up doing a hard reset...

It's true. Everything else works except for the BT headset/handsfree. I am incline to believe we already have the full Widcomm BT drivers, but something in the registry is missing....

BT headset and WM2003SE problem

I have been using WM2003SE for almost 2 weeks now, and I am very satisfied with it.
I have one problem though with the BT headset. The BT headset AND the speaker on the phone is always on, when in a call. It has the advantage of being able to make conversations in stereo (phone on one ear and headset on the other) Apart from that, it is rather annoying because it seems like the microphone in the phone is the only active microphone (the receiving end is complaining of difficulties of hearing me, when I get away from the phone).
How do I become able to switch between the phone and the headset again?
BT headset: Jabra 250
PDA: Qtek 2020
ROM: 2.02.t1WWE
Radio: 1.18.00
Protocol: 1337.38
ExtROM: 1.72.125 (not sure witch)
Regards Steen
i'm using jabra 200 and works fine with me. try pairing again with the device.. it might works
Thank you for the sugestion - but I have tried that - without any luck
/Steen
I'm having this problem too with my motorola HS810 headset.
I'm sure it wasn't like this at first though. I've installed bluetooth tools and tried re-pairing, everything I can think of (except a hard reset - I guess thats next though).
What apps do you have installed, perhaps we have some in common and that's causing the problem?
This never happen to 220CHS
I'm getting the same issue with my HBH-600!
The CHS ROM, i thought this was Chinese....can i install as english?
Different ROMs
Hi guys!
Looks like some of you are using two different ROM versions, 2.02t and 2.06.
Only the first one supports, finally! the hands free profile, with the inconvenience of playing "stereo" when a headset is identified as "hands free".
The 2.06 version, does not support handsfree at all, so I discarded it after a bit of testing in my machine.
(Can't help with CHS versions, sorry)
For more info read my thread in BT carkits.
Hope it helps.
Had the same problem. After 3 hard resets and trying a different BT headset I finally found that installing Bluetooth Tools fixed the problem. will try it out tomorrow and see if it works OK.

Bluetooth Headsets for BA

Hey guys,
I'm trying to find a bluetooth headset that will work clearly and cleanly with my xda iis.
I've tried the jabra 250 whilst in the o2 shop and the chap there blamed the crackly poor quality sound on the flourescent lights. Whatever!
Could we start a thread of known working bluetooth headsets for the blue angel or is there a list somewhere else?
I'm becoming quite tired of trying to find a clear working device.
Thanks.
I'm using a Nextlink BlueSpoon without any problems.
Motorola HS810 here, works fine.
i use the BodyGlove Bluetooth Headset.
No Complaints.
i use the Sony-Ericsson HBH-602 Headset, it works fine.
I have used the following:
Ultra Mini Bluetooth Headset - Crackle City
Sony Ericsson HBH-65 - Worked Great
Nextlink Bluespoon AX - Crackly City
Sony Ericsson HBH-600 - Crackle someitmes - but good otherwise.
Used BT800 with Telecom Harrier and it doesn't work properly.
Paired alright and it seems like the mic part of the headset is not working.
I can hear people talking over the phone but they can't hear me at all.
Upgraded to BT3900 and still doesn't work.
Tried with another BT800 and the same result.
Everything works but not the mic.
I bought the Motorola HS850 yesterday and it has arrived at 930am thanks to www.i2020.co.uk
Took it out the box, charged it for an hour (not the recommended two), went into bluetooth manager and created a new headset connection.
Within 60 seconds I now have a perfectly working bluetooth device. Just called a friend and they didn't even know I was on a bluetooth headset.
A big THUMBS DOWN  for the Jabra models and a big THUMBS UP for the Motorola models!
Thanks all for your input.

I'd like to but my one is a Telecom Harrier. I just can't find the way to update to 1.40 on my device.
Telecom Harrier is a CDMA/EVDO version and it doesn't use SIM Cards. No WiFi too...
:x
I logged into www.clubimate.com and tried to register but it says my ESN number is either invalid or already been registered.

I downloaded and installed it. But it ain't working...!!!!!!! doh!!!!!
I will try re-pairing the device and see how it goes.
I deleted the profile and re-paired it but it ain't working.
It pairs alright and I can hear others talking but they can't hear me.
It might be my handset or the headset with mic faulty.
I will go get another one and try. If it still doesn't with my harrier, I will just wait and seek for a new model.
Thanks a lot for your help dude.
Hi,
just got the new Motorola HS 850, till now works great.
Sound is good, very little echo.
Using ROM 1.40 and Radio 1.13
On my carkit (Bluetooth Lintech for Cark-91) a lot of echo.
So far so good.
Regards,
Max
I've used both the Logitech Mobile Freedom and their Mobile Pro headsets with no problems.
Personally, I prefer the Mobile Pro because the ear clip mechanism allows you to clip the headset to a shirt.
i have the hbh 660 and it works great. you can even see who is calling you on the lcd of the headset... ooooh yeah
I use this one....
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6402429860&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MEWN:IT&rd=1
and its A PILE OF PANTS!!!!!!!!!!!
I get one call out of it and then anything after it asks for the pin, which when entered does sod all. The amount of times I've nearly crashed in a blind rage with this useless piece of equipement....
....Anyone know of anything that might fix this????? Or is it a lost cause???
Cheers

Hi! I have Motorola HT 820 - this device work fine (Stereo headset, handsfree)
wireless modem applet fixes BT sound quality
On my SX-66, I have found that if I connect the Jabra BT200 and activate it (press the pickup/hangup button so the PDA sound is in the headset), then run the Wireless Modem applet (\Windows\WModem.exe), "Start" a connection, then exit the applet with the "ok" button, the sound quality will magically correct itself!
This confirms to me that the sound quality problem is a software issue. Every BT headset would work if whatever the Wireless Modem applet does was integrated into the connection routine.
This is not a great workaround because it take about 1 hour to prepare for a phone call  as the wireless resets and is stubborn about reconnecting. It isn't just the reset that fixes the problem because just reseting the wireless has never helped my sound quality problems.
For now, it is best to buy a headset that already works, but there is hope that in the future all BT handsfree devices may work correctly.

Jabra 250/Himalaya Compatability Issue

I have had ongoing problems getting my Jabra 250 to work with my XDA II ever since i upgraded to ROM 2.06.00 WWE, Radio: 1.18 and ExtROM: SIN.AU.v3.5. I could neve figure out the issue so stopped using the handsfree a few months ago but currently have renewed inspiration to get to the bottom of this.
From what i have seen in all the forums, I need to pair my Jabra 250 into headset mode instead of handsfree mode. When I do this, my XDA does not recognize the Jabra. When I change the Jabra to Handsfree mode, the XDA then sees the device bBut when I talk, the mic on the handfree is defeated and i have to talk directory into the mic on the phone. I have tried BT tools to know avail.
So my question is,
1. Is this a hardware compatiblity issue between the 2 devices where I can solve the problem by puchasing another brand of handsfree. If so, anybody have a good suggestion of what brand handsfree is compatible?
2. Is this a software problem where my bluetooth stack is corrupted or something like that and if so,is there some way to upgrade or fix without having to upgrade Rom and/or ExtROM?
Thanks,
Danny
hi universed, you can try to install Widcomm BT stack instead of MS BT stack.
buzz
Hey Buzz,
Where can I find the newest version of the Widcomm stack and is there a thread somewhere on xda-developers.com that talks about how to install and if there are any caveats or stuff I have to watch out for.
I saw something from February but it appeared the files were incomplete and folks were having their machines freeze?
Thanks,
Danny
Widcomm BT Stack Concerns
Hey,
I have been reading all the forums regarding the Widcomm BT stack and it seems like most folks attempting to make the upgrade are finding loads of problems, attempting lots of unsusesssful registry hacks and a handful of people attempting this solution have ended up having to do a hard reset?
I also saw a line in of the replys stating "I don't think it's going to make any difference on our XDA II device. AFH stands for "Adaptive Frequency Hoping" and it's only available in Bluetooth v1.2. XDA II has bluetooth v1.1 so it does not support AFH." Not sure exactly what that means but if the problem is inherrent in the hardware and can't be overcome, I would rather not mess with a device that is working just the way I want it except for the BT handsfree problem?
Does anyone have any direct and successful experience upgrading to the Widcomm BT stack on the XDA II and then resolving the specific issue I mentioned above,
Confused,
Danny
I wonder if attempting to upgrade to Buzz's WM2005 will solve the problem (And not create too many other problems)?
Danny
Getting Mighty lonely in this topic, think I am going to take my himalaya and go home.

Any other BT stack for Atom?

Hi.
Have read a lot of forums/treads and get totally messed. So, please, tell me definitely: is there some way to replace MS bluetooth stack with widcomm or blusolei? Teh main target is to get normal coworking with the BT handsfree.
My Atom doesn't work normal neither with Jabra HF nor with Pioneer BT car audio. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I give up to fight with it...
Thanks a lot for answers.
what ROM version do you have?
20060426 ENG....
The last one, dwnloaded from xda ftp.

Bluetooth stack

Is there any way to put the superior Broadcom stack on the X7500?
Would the cab file available for the Axim X51 work, or that damage the device?

Are you having problems with the default stack or just like the Broadcom better? Just curious. I'm not having any problems with my Athena and BlueTooth.
It works fine,as far as it goes. Mostly I use BT for music, and I'm finding the quality a bit poor, with buzzing-hissing in the higher registers, even after following all the reg tweaks posted on other threads.
I used to use an Axim X50v upgraded to WM5, and the Broadcom stack was far superior for music with my Motorola MT820.
Other than quality, the M$ stack performs flawlessly - connecting straight away plus switching to phone mode and back and retaining AVRCP control. Before upgrading to the Advantage, I tried a Sony Ericsson Walkman phone that didn't manage that.
If I knew the Broadcom cab was OK to use, I'd try it out to see how it compared quality-wise and switching functions.
Another question would be, have M$ made any improvements to the stack in WM6? If so, I could just wait...
I can't get my bluetooth to initialise at all on my Ameo :-( I've tried soft resets, hard resets, re-flashing the ROM, and upgrading the Radio...
I don't know much about bluetooth, but i take it this "stack" controls it... would that be in a protected part of the device, which wouldn't be effected by these resets?? Is there anyway I could reset the bluetooth stack :-/
Please help, I need to get bluetooth going again, and can't believe that it really is a hardware issue.....
Any ideas? :-/
