Is there a ROM update available for the O2 XDA2i? Either an update to the original ROM or a generic/unbranded update?

ROM update is on FTP in Alpine folder
the current rom is available from o2's website for the xda2 which is the launch rom

I purchased an O2 XDA IIi from UK on April 10 but now the wifi function is faulty.
Try hardreset but device still can not detect wifi network
It is not a good product

If you noticed tha last post here was in 2004. Since then the wizards here in xda-developers have cooked up WM 5 and WM 6 ROMS which are far superior to the original 2003. Just Choose which you want to install in your XDA. There are threads for both. Just read carefully instructions in installing AND how to get more memory.

What's the Ultimate SE ROM you used and you think that's the most stable one. I already upgraded to WM2003 SE the 2.06 but I didn't cook the Ultimate Extended_Rom.
Thus, I'm asking you in order to get the most stable device using the latest upgrades. Plz tell me what should I use bcz the merged one and the chinese I didn't try it yet but am looking for the easiest way to sort out a good ROM thus, I read and searched, but still I'm not convinced since the both english ROM are Beta....Waiting your answer.

Should choose an Asia rom or an Australia rom?
I bought a used XDA II on Ebay. How do I determine if I should try an Asia rom (like Philippine WM2003se xdall Upgrade xda2jojo ver3.0?) or a Austrailia rom (like Sin.Merged.v2.0?). Or is the "Genuine English WM2003 SE upgrade for Himalaya" the way to go? Should I use the versions linked in the forums or are there more current or better versions on the FTP site?
My carrier is Cingular in the U.S.

if t-mobile uk hasnt released wm6 yet, you can just enter your cell phone number at (http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/help-and-advice/phone-support/) and it will give you the original download for t-mobile. good luck

I've entered my number but the only options are to receive settings for Internet, Email and MMS. No firmware updates are available for the Vario II. (unless I've missed something?)

Sadly it will only allow you to download the wizard rom and not the hermes.

It's for UK TMOBILE
That ROM has Hungarian language settings and would show as the locale defaults i.e. date on today screen that when a hard reset is applied. I was also looking for an original UK ROM image and found one courtesy of the forums.
Thinking on is the default locale settings for a given ROM held in the extended ROM ? The reason I ask is that I flashed with a Hungarian image and then a UK ROM image, but the Hungarian locale settings are in play when a hard-reset is applied. Given I need to return the unit for a screen fault I obviously want to restore the unit to it's original state.

Hi can anyone help me I have been trying to update my phone a Toshiba TG01 from Wm 6.1 to Wm 6.3 but without any luck.
The update is not available from Orange Uk, and the Toshiba web site has a broken link I have searched all over the web but cannot find any
link to the stock rom files, it's as if the phone is no longer supported.
