USB SYNC AND DATA CABLE - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 Accessories

Hi
Can anyone give me a link to a site which supplies working USB SYNC AND DATA CABLE for XDA IIs.
>Regards
DK

Hi! I bougt a sync/data cable for my qtek 9090 (XDA IIs, XDAIII, PDA2K.....) on ebay from a ebayshop in the UK, worked fine with everything, shipped to Sweden in 3days. Hava a look at http://stores.ebay.com/Morpeth-Mobiles

hy....
i've buyed this:
http://www.boxwave.com/products/minisync/minisync-retractable-cable-qtek-9090_441.htm
and this:
http://www.boxwave.com/products/carcharger/index.htm
and i dont be satisfied because the minisinc starts to get bad contact, sure to caused by using this on my pocket almoust every days.... but could be my fault.... the car charger drops from the lightning hole charger (i dont know how it wrottes in english)..... but it could be my fault again because i'm a owner of o old car.......

I have two.
One branded brando - this is a very small retractable mini-sync. It works fine with my O2 XDA IIs
http://shop.brando.com.hk/bwretractablesynccharger.php
I also bought another one from expansys I believe, which was listed as working with the i-mate PDA2K. AFAIK a PDA2K is a BA same as the O2 XDA IIs.
This unit is slightly bigger than the brando one, and it DOES NOT WORK. It will not charge or sync, although it does fit in the connector.
The brando one is great though.
If you have a car, get a USB to cigarette lighter adapter and leave it in the car, keep the brando mini sync on you. That way on foot or in car a charge is never far away.

I have both for XDA mini, XDA II and XDA IIs
700pesos each only
but I am in the Philippines

xda I cradle for sale?

Anybody wanna sell me an xda I USB cradle? I want 1 for work too.
Don't rule out a USB charge/sync cable. Smaller, and probably cheaper. I charge my XDA mostly at work on a USB charge/sync cable.
i have one and it's not "pretty". I just cleaned my desk and I'd like a nice cradle.
xda cradle
I have a couple available and an xda with smashed screen as well as a couple of cases. Located in Essex Uk. email privatley [email protected]
a little bit off topic...
...but how much does a smashed XDA I (i.e.: Wallaby) usually sell for on ebay. i have an extra XDA I, because i just got my Himalaya two four days ago, and i don't think i will need it (unless i can sync the Himalaya to the Wallaby, so that i can use the Wallaby as a backup device)

CONFUSED...is the blue angel connector same as the XDA II???

Ive read many post on here and others. I must say Im confused.
Is the new Blue Angel connector physically the same as the previous XDAII connector?
Are the pin outs the same?
Some people say no problem, some are filing theirs down??? Some are "forcing it in" - YIKES
i would love to know as well
The pin outs are the same - the connector is physically the same size, but there is one minor change - there is a little 'step' on one edge of the connector.
XDAII accessories, such as chargers, usb and gps do fit but you need to be careful when you insert them.
Forget my stupidity. I used to own the Siemens SX56 and had hotsync and car charger cables.
The question is now I have the Siemens SX66, is it safe to use the same cables from the SX56? I haven't tried it since I don't want to kill my new toy!
If anyone knows or can verify that it's safe it would be really appreciated.
I am using car charger, usb sync cable and wired gps that were originally bought for my XDA1, then used on XDAII and now work fine on MDAIII.
Do any of the serial keyboards work with XDA IIs?
I tried to connect the stowaway keyboard I used with my XDA II but it does not seem to work with my QTEK 9090.
I'm only guessing, but I would think that the drivers weren't written for wm2003SE.
I have the darfon fold out keyboard that I bought for my sx56, and last night I got it working just fine with my new sx66, so yes, they work. I needed to go to darfon.com and download the newest version of the driver.
I have one of the IR keyboards and the supplied driver works fine, but I have to balance the MDAIII on something to make it high enough for the IR receiver on the keyboard because the MDAIII IR is on the side.
The pin outs are the same

They are not!!!!!
There is a voltage output from an XDAII when in a call, but the XDA IIs doesn't give the voltage!
Can't remember which pin off the top of my head but I have been testing this and found this to be a major problem when designing a proper car kit for both items!
..Spence
Bit worried about using my incar chrger from my xdaII for my IIs. Does anyone know where I can get a charger or usb sync cheaply for the IIs/pd2k? Expansys are charging £20! There's one here:
http://www.firstphoneshop.co.uk/o2-phone-accessories/o2-imate-pda2k.shtml
But i'm not sure its not just the old II charger...
Hi all,
I see birdog has put piccies up at:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=18435&highlight=pin+blue+angel
(and thanks btw) but can anyone confirm this pinout?
Cheers!

MDA III/XDA IIs connector different from XDA II ?

Hi,
I have a wired GPS solution named Kirrio which has been working fine with my old XDA II.
Ive just recently bought an MDA III (XDA IIs) and was expecting it to be an easy swap.
However it seems that although the connector in the bottom of the PDA looks the same between the two, it has changed.
When I connect the wired GPS cable (which also includes power for the PDA) nothing happens.. the power led doesnt light yellow as is custom on the PDA when its charging, and the GPS doesnt work.
Ive noticed that the MDAIII connector seems to have a small spring thingy in the front of it which match with a slot carved out in the plugs. This is different to the XDA II... but Im not sure if the spring thingy is a small switch or something... and if the wiring is totally different between the two.
Kirrio cant help me.
Anyone have some ideas?
I am using my original Destinator (Leadtek) wired GPS that I got for the XDA, used it on XDAII with no problems and have been using it since last October with no problems on my MDAIII (XDAIIs)

Reset key, cradle and cable connector is placed on the low part of the device. The connector is differed from the old device, it means that old cables and cradles can not be used with the new smartphone.

XDA Mini S Cradle

Hi All,
Just thought I'd mention a cool cradle I bought from a really nice ebayer ...
I got it this morning (next day delivery!) and the inclusive price delivered was £14.45
It also comes with a UK charging adapter so you don't have to rely on the USB power.
Also I have found that the cadle now works through my USB non powered Hub!!!!! even without the power adapter
So very pleased with this vital piece of kit that is essential when using for business and always updating diary/tasks etc.
Here is a link to his shop rather than the item incase the link dies...

Desktop Cradle

Im Looking for a nice Cradle for the Rhodium, ideally with a second battery charger in it (not vital as ive not got a 2nd battery yet)
Anyone spied any?
They've started cropping up on eBay, spotted 2 this morning.
If anyone actually gets a hold or hears of a proper battery cradle charger I'll be happy. With having the kaiser for 2 years I grew tired of having to charge my phone twice a day to meet my gadgetting needs... I really do love to play around with those phones hah..
[offtopic] Also bummer they didn't supply the phones with the VGA cable.. [/offtopic]

That looks like it will put a fair bit of strain on the extusb port. There doesn't seem to be anything else supporting the phone
I seem to buy a cradle for every phone I get, none of which are perfect (the stand that is, not the phone, although . . )
This time I am going low tech and going for something like the one my daughter got with her Nokia 5800 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Genuine-Nokia...66:2|39:1|72:1683|240:1318|301:0|293:1|294:50
Although I might need a bigger one due to the weight of the TP2 ( I will try hers when my phone turns up)
i build my own craddle with the HTC G300 Touch Diamond Cradle & adapter
it has no extras, it`s not the best, but it works...
if HTC build a matching adapter i will buy it....
see the pics
cope with a rasp ground,
a piece of soft plastic stuck on it so that it is softer surface....

Can I ask how easy it is to drop the device into the cradle? I bought a Pro2 cradle from an ebay source, and it can be a bit fiddly to line up the connector, I'm often jiggling it around for a while to line it up; whereas the Brando cradle for the HD is very easy to use, it just drops straight in. I'm loathe to buy a second cradle, but this one is just annoying me.
hi!
the brando is easy to line up the connector, of course first you must learn the position...
it's cute! I own the deluxe for a second battery, but the normal one is enough if you don't plan a second battery!
I have to agree with @deiota mine came today and I am very happy with it.
Pics of both types of chargers
I purchased both types of chargers. One for the office & one for home.
I have had them for almost a month now. Please excuse all the dust & fingerprints
Ill post the deluxe model first.
Pics of the plain charger.
I have attached pics of the plain charger.
The plain charger I purchased for usd$14.99 and the deluxe was usd$24.99. I purchased both from ebay. I received them in about a week after placing my order. Both came with free shipping.
So the total was usd$39.98 for both units.
Connections:
Deluxe model - EXTUSB docking port / MINIUSB charging port / EXTUSB sync & audio port / 3.5mm Audio Port
Plain Model - MINIUSB docking port / MINIUSB charging port / MINIUSB Sync port
Both unit came with a US style (2-prong) AC Adaptor with the following specs:
Input = 100-240vac 50/60Hz
Output = 5v 1.5A (MINIUSB)
Both models works great. I actually prefer the plain model since the HTC TP2 sits "deeper" in the docking port which seems more secure and I still have easy access to the front buttons of the phone. I usually do not listen to music when charging the phone. I have placed these docking cradles in front of my computers at home & office so, if i had to listen to music, i use my computer.
