Will any Stylus pen fit in the Tmobile MDA? - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario Accessories

I lost my pen already after a week lol.. when any of these MDA III and pro pen on ebay fit in my US Tmobile MDA?

MDA what?
If you have an MDA Vario (HTC Wizard), then you will need an actual HTC Wizard stylus, as others typically will not fit.
You can get them from, among other, expansys

For what it's worth, in the US, T-mobile just calls the HTC Wizard the 'MDA'. I can see where this would be confusing.

Pocket PC Techs sells a stylus/pen for this device.

Stylus
The site:
www.extremepda.com
also sells the MDA stylus.

Stylus with pen
I was hoping to find through this thread a source for a Wizard/K-JAM stylus that has a pen in it.
PPCtechs is a combo stylus/reset pin.
Extreme - cannot find anything on their site at all.
Because of it being this funny stubby collapsing stylus, I can see that it will be a bit more of a challenge for the gizmo makers.

Skin case ?

Are there any skin cases for the Wizard, like the iSkin ?
Ideally, with a slot on the bottom for the keyboard...
There is already a silicone case for the dopod 838 [WIZA100] unfortunately you can't use the keyboard with the case on. I'm using this case until I find a nice leather case or metal case for my dopod. it seems all the cases coming out are for the Qtek and O2 versions [WIZA200?].
where can you get hold of one of these skins
They are widely available at Wan Chai Computer Center in Wan Chai Hong Kong or Mongkok Computer Center. If I recall correctly they have Frosted White, Blue, Pink, Black [which I have] it's around HKD 100 [of course you can haggle a bit]. Remember this is for WIZA100 [dopod 838] and will not allow you to use the keyboard. See the pic...
i've seen the same thing, i think on ebay, for the wizard wiza200 but i doubt you could slide open the keyboard on that one aswell..
I doubt they'll be able to make a silicone case that allows free use of the keyboard [although I hope I'm wrong]. The slider seems to pose a big problem in case making.

Hi Bnycastro,
Would the Dopod 838 Skincase fit the Tmobile MDA Vario?
edojo: AFAIK the Tmob MDA vario is a WIZA200 model. So it wouldn't fit as the dopod 838 is a WIZA100 model [the VPA Compact and the Cingular 8125 are WIZA100s] Qtek9100/imate k-JAM are WIZA200's. Hope this helps.
Go to boxwave.com and make a request. They claim that if they get enough requests they release the product. Go to the link at the bottom to request a product for a device and then make sure "Flexiskin" is checked. It is probably a good idea to mention all the Wizard's aliases (MDA Vario, Qtek 9100, I-mate K-jam) so they see it is a device in alot of user's hands. I owned one of these for my Treo and it was outstanding.
Made a request, we'll see if they see any money in it...
Just get mine from eBay, cost me $26....but it works good
This case not only hold the PDA, but also hold two miniSD cards.
Just ordered one from Piel Frama: http://www.pielframa.com
For the Wizard specifically: http://www.pielframa.com/menu_qtek9100.htm

Yes that's been available for ages. I think what most of us here want is a skin case for the Wiza200 (instead of the Wiza100).
Ah, my mistake. Good luck, then 8)
man, why is it so difficult to find a skin for the TMO MDA.
yea and after seing this looks like we may never see one. the new phones got them already so we probably wont see one.

Skin Case Mod

I have received so much from this forum that I decided to give my pinch of salt. Is not much, but I think it will be good to others like me.
I was looking for a case for my brand new 8125. It have to be light, compact, without a belt clip and give some protection to scratches and minor bumps. It will be used to protect the 8125 inside my jean's front pockets. I found that the silicon skin was the closest to my needs, so I got one from Ebay.
When I installed it I knew that it was perfect for me , but no access to the keyboard really started to bother me after 5 minutes. So, I took it to my work table and made a cut along the left side of the skin case and two small cuts down the edges of the case. That created a flap that allowed me slide the keyboard without taking the 8125 out of the case.
The mod took me 2 minutes to do, but 30 minutes to take the corage to cut my new case. Now my case is perfect. After 2 weeks of usage the only problem that I have is that the vol control is harder to use because the flap some times gets on the way. Not that big problem anyway.
Here are some pics. Hope that this help someone.

Here is the case with the keyboard open.
One from the back
I don't know what that thing is, but an HTC Wizard it is not
i believe its a great idea....I like my boxwave skins for my treos.
Oh and I believe he said its an 8125 several times!

@Equilon
It's a Cingular 8125, but I think it will work on any silicon skin case for the Wizard.

which one is it on boxwave.com
I want to get a silicone case from boxwave.com for the T-Mobile MDA, but not sure which one it is on the site. Does anyone know which one it is?
T-Mobile MDA Compact?
T-Mobile MDA II?
T-Mobile MDA III?
T-Mobile MDA IV?
T-Mobile MDA Pro?

O2 Orbit cradles?

Hello all,
I have ordered my "O2 Orbit 2" already - to replace my well used and loved Orbit (1). From the press pictures it seems that the Orbit 2 is extremely similar dimensions to the original.
Does anyone know if old Orbit cradles will fit the new Orbit 2?
Cheers!
Where did u order urs from? O2?

"Seems" pretty equal, but Docking does not fit perfectly.
I ordered one of these cheap Orbit (1) stations in ebay
and I had some problems to get the USB frickled in the right way
to fit in den port of the Orbit2. Anyway, it charges and it syncs.
But it's actually not equal to Orbit 1 fit.
See pictures here: PPC-Welt
Thanks Olioaglio - that's exactly what I needed to know. At least it fits, albeit with a bit of a wiggle by the look of it.
Underzone - I may have mislead slightly. I've ordered one, however it is through my companies mobile service provider, and not O2 direct. They told be on Monday to expect further delays - so its the same wait going through them as it is through O2.
Cheers!

Advice please! RE: MDA Vario II Car mounting options

I have been having trouble getting hold of a simple phone craddle that attaches to the windscreen that can hold my MDA Vario II while driving.
I purchased afew Herbert Richter kits from various eBay supplier (see this example). The listing clearly says that it is made for my phone but when they arrive they do not fit. They appear to be made to measure for a MDA Vario III (HTC TYTN2), my phone is too chunky to be held.
Do Herbert Richter actually still supply kits for my phone? All the eBay sellers appear to be unaware they are supplying the wrong craddle. I have sent two back already asking for a refund, explaining the situation but they seem unable to help.
Any advice please..?
I bought a cheap holder from dealextreme from mine. See link below.
http://www.dealextreme.com/products.dx/category.704
The one I got was the 3rd one along $7.83 and it holds it really well.
Even though they're based in Hong Kong, they shipped to the UK free of charge. It took a couple of weeks to arrive. I've used them quite a few times before and never had a problem.

Pen/stylus

I used to have a Stylus that the cap came off and there was a pen there. It loved it because I always had a pen. It was for the Apache, does anyone know if there is one for the tp2?
Thanks
Google "touch pro 2 pen stylus" and also include your carrier. Trouble might be in finding one for us tmobile tp2. Also, on boxwave<dot>com they have a styra ball point pen for tmo tp2 for 12 bucks. I've never ordered from them but there are some on ppc geeks that have and say they fit.
