how to listen to the radio using blue tooth headset ? - iPAQ rw6828, XDA Atom Software Upgrading

anyway to trick the atom in detecting the normal audio jack being plug in?
wish to listen to radio stations (non-internet) using blue toothheadset.

I don't think you will have a good reception for any radio station since the Atom uses the headset as antenna too

FM transmitter for TyTN

Hi,
My Vario II justification to the misses was that we'd be able to listen to music in the car with it (our CD player is dead).
Has anyone come across an FM transmitter that you can power from the car cigar lighter and plug directly into the mini usb socket on the TyTN?
Cheers,
Steve.
I'm looking for the same thing
I bought a SONY MEX5000 BT stereo that uses Bluetooth streaming. It is so cool! much better quality(sound) then the radio ones. I dont carry CDs anymore just everything over BT with MP3s.

and how to connect ?
--> no way @ this moment ...
Try Nokia HS-12W. Google to see how it looks like.
It is a bluetooth Stereo Headset which you can listen to MP3 played from Tytn.
It is also a standalone FM Radio by itself without the Tytn at all.
I have one, cool.
Hi and is there a bluetooth receiver taht one can plug into a stereo ?
HS-12W is a Wireless (no wire between it and phone) Stereo Headphone via Bluetooth with Build in FM Radio.
What I meant about the bluetooth reciever is if there is one that tha pda streams music and is recieved by a device that can be plugged into the home stereo, same principle as a headset only differance is that it'll go to speakers.....hop I made it clearer this time... or maybe it's that I am not gettin it jaja
You are refering to Home Stereo Hi-Fi Amplifier/Receiver to speakers. Well it is something I was thinking about some years ago when I first read the white paper on Bluetooth v2.0 A2DP Profile.
But Hi-Fi industry in term of following latest trend is normally a little slower than the computer & mobile industry. So far, not that I know of that there is a build in Bluetooth Hi-Fi system including speakers. Maybe it is time to do a google on this topic, it would be good if there is such solution to get rid of the messy wire connections.
I do know that there is such thing as Bluetooth Donger, which is a bluetooth device with a headphone jack and you can plug the headphone jack into the Hi-Fi headphone jack and bingo you have wireless music with you wireless headphone, but bluetooth is quite subject to surrounding interfence, so you may have broken music in your ears.
The is also some not so good old technology using Infra-Red. The better ones are the wireless headphone sets using RF frequency which you can listen to music even you and your hi-fi are in different room.
Hope I got your question right this time.
Hey CWKJ,
Thanx for your reply. Look at the following link:

It's a bluetooth speaker, but what I am looking for is something that can make any car home stereo into a bluetooth reciever...
You mean something like the Tunestage II for the iPOD?

I'm looking for something similar that will plug into a car stereo - i.e. a bluetooth receiver which will plug into the external input of my car stereo, so I can stream to it from my TyTN - anyone know of anything?
PS Yes, I have seen the Parrot MK6000, but I don't think its out until Q1 2007....
BINGO!! Yes like this, only that you don't need the transmitter (tytyn would be it!).
check out the I-Tech S35 clip. A2DP receiver with a 5mm headset jack. You can cable this to your car with an adaptor cable. The I-Tech doesn't skip either!
Yes! this seems to work! jajaj do you actually use it? or know of someone that has used it with this purpose?
Once again thank you for your responses!
I've not used it myself for this purpose. I've no doubt that it will work though. What I am interested in is the usable range. The applicaton I have in mind will require 4-5 meter range from the I-Tech device to my TyTN.

Ok, you are talking about car hi-fi system, the speaker looks good.
For Home hi-fi system, maybe there isn't bluetooth audiophile speaker yet.
For the car hi-fi system, there are some with the audio output (the Left - Right or White - Red cable build-in type audio output cable). Buy another cable adaptor (Left - Right/White - Red to stereo headphone cable) and the Bluetooth Donger, connect them up and you will have the audio on you bluetooth speaker. Hope this works!
Hey! look at this:

Sony always has great product.
November 18 in Japan? If so, wondering when it will be available in other parts of the world?
I already found some for sale in ebay!! wow!

[Q] Radio FM without headset ?

I know that headphone works as an antenna and has applications to online radio, but has some method or application that runs the FM radio without the headphones (without use of the Internet, without using the headphones)?
No problem that the gain of the radio become poor, that is where I'm from the FM signal is very strong, so do not need the gain that antenna offers.
Can't help you with an app...
But you could try the 'next best thing': plugging in a 3.5 mm unwired plug, or a splitter with nothing plugged into it.
I just did, started the radio with "Via speaker" activated, and I actually got decent reception of some stations!
When I put the phone down, things got a bit noisy in most cases, so I was the antenna.
And connecting USB made it better again
waves fulateg
looking for that to,
my old nokia xpress music did that very well, you press 1 button on you have the radio with the speaker...still use it every day
I did see a while ago a 3.5 mm jack plug based aerial on eBay, though unfortunately I haven't got a link, but someone had reported it working on s3, but I was a bit concerned about the leverage it could potentially place on the socket, so didn't buy it

Radio & Bluetooth

How do you listen to the radio with Bluetooth Stereo headphones. It will not use the headphones as a antenna.
Need to plug in head phones that will act as an antenna

offline radio streamer

Is there any offline radio FM streamer to car stereo and if possible, maybe im wrong any signal jamer (disturber) for nearby car radio fm
thanks
The phone would be required to have an FM transmitter in it, which the Evo 3d does not. Actually, I don't think any android phone out right now has an fm transmitter.

Actually there is a fm transmitter thats available, you plug your phone through the head phone jack into the fm transmitter, transmitter is plug into your 12volt port, just configure the same stations on both the transmitter and your car stero and you are good to go, use it in my car as my 05 mazda has no bluetooth, sounds pretty good too, I play my saved music from my phone through the transmitter, and I have a booming stereo

listen to FM radio without having to plug in earphones

is there a way to listen to FM radio without having to plug in earphones / headphones?
the question is old but I'll answer anyway in case someone else wonders the same.
For most phones, due to their size, they can't be fitted with an antenna to receive FM radio so they use the cable of the headphones instead.
Technically anything with a headphone jack will do, providing you can put your radio in loud speakers, you can buy some 3.5 jack antenna or even cut the cable of the headphones and just plug in the connector but nevertheless, it is required at all times that something is connected to the headphone jack for the radio to work.
some phones come with an integrated antenna, although this is more common in mobile telephones, Gigaset SL750 style.
