Something freaky just happend. I was reading a thread about how someone was unable to access his Bootloader after a WM 2003 install and decided to go into Bootloader mode. No problems there, so I did a soft reset to get out of Bootloader mode and Boom! 'Tap here to set up your device' displayed amid the 'Bliss' background.
I had to setup the device from scratch. Luckily not all that much loss of software and I only lost one appointment which I still remember. Can you guys with WM 2003 try it and let me know your results? Please backup your data first!

well the problem is i cannot run apps from the phone bc i dont have an orange simcard (and it is locked by orange)
any ideas?
Talk to Orange, pay them money, they will unlock for you.

tried an orange sim card but it appears to stay locked!! :shock: does the orange sim card have to be from the same country as the phone?
ok i swiftly turned on the flight mode now i can browse
yep that made all the difference phone is unlocked now

used the registry editor to change values to
HKLM\Security\Policies\Policies\00001001 = 1 (RAPI)
HKLM\Security\Policies\Policies\00001005 = 40 (Cert)
which I assume unlocked security ( as culd not do online)
then used file from http://www.spv-developers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=236

Ok , edited the registry settings and that worked out ok, downloaded the SPV Developers Services Kit , extracted all the files to my desktop. made sure active synch connection is alive, Orange Simcard inserted. I run the simlock function , request pops up on the phone , agree and then i get
Unknown error -2147467259 in read operation in the SPV Developers Services
any suggestions ? I tried hard resetting my phone and tried again , but same result..dunno really
edit : doh , 5 more minutes and i wouldnt have had to post .. The Cert.Cab included in the SPV Dev. Serv. Kit has to be executed from the phone b4 you can run the unlock tool. NFO file with these instructions would be useful but heh beggars cant be choosers....Working !!!!!!!
how did you turn on the flight mode without card?
you have to press the on button really quickly, as the phone is still booting

i press soft keys and reset with stilus, and was make a hard reset. But on my treecolors screens isn't write nothing.
How did i know what bootloader i have?
I buy a Orange SPV M3100 now, in december 2006, operator version 14.123.10.702, ROM version 1.23.70.2, ROM date 08.14.06 , radio version 1.06.04.00, protocol version 32.37.7010.01H.

you should see SPL-1.XX this will tell you bootloader version.
If you don't see this in the tri-color screen, download mtty.exe, disable activesync usb connection, and connect to bootloader through mtty USB port. Once in bootloader USB> prompt type the command 'info 7' and you'll see the bootloader version.

flash a rom from your provider?
if I use your unlocker for my phone and i unlock SIM.
Sometime, perhaps i need original Orange settings (Orange locked)(for waranty for example). If i push soft keys and reset (hard reset), do I obtain originaly Orange settings?

PS. At very old PC ('80 generation) like Sinclair Spectrum, we load one program on it memory. Is it the same principal??????
Once you use the sim unlocker you can't lock it back. Hard reset will only clear permanent storage (remove apps and files you've), but will not lock your phone again.

Im using XDA NEO with PDAViet 4.0.0.0.5b Cross, when Im use a soft reset, but still put it in charging mode, my prophet Pin password auto reset to another number, now I cant login to my prophet with my password. I cant do a hard reset cause have so much data do not backup, trying use defaut '1234' '12345' still incorect. Who have a solution help me plz

There is no solution.... you have to hard reset.....
There is an incompatibility problem with password protection on all cooked WM6 ROMS. If you put a password teh device shall forget the password afterf every soft reset.
by the way, pls use search this ques has been asked and answered a million times already.
