I want to know how to get a chinese language rom for my new O2 Mini s,IPL/SPL 2.21 0001. It's G4,may I unlock the device with the tool awizard? I have read the tutorial provided by risidoro and download the ruu.rar. However, I can not write in number at length blank. what's reason?

I'm pretty new here and hope someone can help before I will mess up my cute wizard I have the wizard model of the german provider "Vodafone" it is called "VPA Compact II" here. When I boot my device it says it have IPL and SPL version 2.21.0001 so I assume I have a G4 device. I don't know yet ff it's CID-unlocked or not, but my question before doing any **** with my device I have following question:
actually it is a german version of WindowsMobile 5 installed but I would like to install greek language of WindowsMobile5. Is that anyhow possible, can I get such a ROM ??? I was not able to find and suitable ROM with greek language neither here nor at the linked FTP-sites, as the username and passwort xda:xda does not work for me.
Maybe someone can help a newbie?

I dont think there is a greek rom as far as I know
My phone was purchased in cyprus and it is just all english.
Just got to live with it I suppose.....

First of all, I have to say that I'm a new user of softbank and a new member of xda-developer,
As I tryied to unlock the WM5 rom in my HTC Softbank Japanese version by using HTweakC for Hermes / HTweakC Version 2, but didn't success.
I've checked the SPL is 1.04, and then I test the CID with mtty.exe,
found it is not fully unlocked, because the code is not a formal type as the sources which downloaded from the web,
I know there were only three formal code for SuperCID.
So the questions are:
1. Does it need fully unlock before deleting files in HTC WM5 rom files.
2. SPL1.04 equal to fully unlocked ?

Ok, I 'm going to install WM6 on my Xda mini s (G4), but would like to know where to get the original O2 ROM for my device in case it has to go back at any point.
Can anyone tell me where to get version 2.21.4.1 WWE from please?

I'm also looking for the original O2 Rom, I now have a O2 XDA Mini S without a O2 phone number. Unfortunatly the O2 website requires the telephone number that belongs to the IMEI number. But I don't have the phone number
Who can please help me with this rom ? The phone is bricked during a flash to the Qtek Rom using Shelltool

Ok guys please be gentle, ive tried searching and posting previously with no success.
I have purchased a 2nd hand Wizard which is an O2 badged sim unlocked unit being used with an Orange sim. I know I have a G4 device from following the guides and I know that somewhere on this site there are links to manufacturer roms which I will need before I can start playing, I just cant find them.
So....
Can someone please provide a link to the latest WM5 Orange Rom and is there a WM6 manufacturer version that will work with the CID locked G4 device?

You sure first SIM unlocking your G4, then use shelltool to flash a WM6 ROM as you wish (No official WM6 ROM is available, and will never be).
Since it's a O2, you can revert to WM5 (That is needed when you need to flash other WM6 ROM) by using official RUU for O2.
Thanks, I take it there isnt an official orange wm5 to restore it back to available then? Is there?
To be honest I would have liked to start by just going from an O2 rom to an Orange one and then upgrade to wm6.

Hello westie,
use the search funktion for "unlocking" and "ROM" here in the Hermes section.
You will find Threads to unlock your device and you will find available ROMs to flash your Hermes.
For example this:

Won an auction for an Orange SPV M3100 on ebay, and plan to use it with Three Uk sim card, and if poss debranding it would be good.
If you flash your HTC Hermes will it still retain all functionality included in the branded rom?!

It will retain the functionality that is not dependant on provider's apps. So it means that settings for Orange MMS, Orange theme with Orange today plugin will be gone. This can however be installed back (you can download those files in extracted EXT ROMS part of Hermes wiki).
Free Hermes unlocker will unlock the Hermes for other carriers too. It can be found in Hermes upgrading forum.

So for example if I install Black Satin WM6 upgrade, will I have all functionality such as video calling, internet (3G & Wifi), mms, camera etc all working as intended with the phones original WM5 Orange branded rom?
The unlocking part sounds easy enough, I downloaded Hermes SIM CID unlock v3a I read the instructions whch say connect via activesync and run the '.bat' file. Should this take long? Should have the phone by Thursday hopefully so would like to know what to do in advance so I can get it ready for my 3 Uk sim.
