I have a new HTC S310, trying to make it work with PC Async made a hard reset. After that big surprise, interface is Russian. How can I revert back to English?
The other problem is with Activesync 4.1. I have a SPC C500 and an HP PDA, both synchronize ok. This HTC is not even detected by Activesync (system appears to have drivers ok, it makes specific sounds at device connect/disconnect).
HTC ROM version is 1.5.411.1.

With the kindly help of HTC people and emulator I have English back:
Start - Settings (folder with cog) - 9 (More) - 3 (Regional settings) - select English in Language which is first field.
Solved Activesync problem too, DHCP client service on PC was disabled.

Hi, I have T9CzechLdb.dll (from German SDA II ROM) and T9PolishLdb.dll (from Polish SPV500 ROM), which contains those T9 languages and I want to install them to my C550. I made myself a CAB installer, which copies the dll into the phone and does 2 registry entries (to the HKLM\T9 Input Method\MUI\Languages and to the HKLM\T9 Input Method\LDBs). When its installed, it works perfectly UNTIL I reset my phone.
After restart, when I want to write for example a text message, the space char doesen't work, and no words menu appears. Not only in Czech lang. selected, but in ALL...
This problem disappears only, when I uninstall the dll and reset phone...
Do you know, where is the problem?

How to flash:
0) READ A README.DOC FILE located in RUU folder in the archive!!!
1) make an application unlock
1.5) make a SuperCID (optional)

4) run ROM Update Utility.exe (from RUU directory in the archive) on your PC
5) follow the instructions
6) wait until flash process will be completed
7) READ A README.DOC FILE located in RUU folder in the archive!!!
You can flash it over ANY (Qtek, Dopod or Cingular) rom!

i think you can change the language in regional settings. im not 100% sure, my phone is still backing up. cant wait to try it.

Change it to yours in regional settings
most likely, you only need to change it in settings-system-regional settings

Update: Sorry it was be default in Russian. I just set it to English.
Why should somebody change from standard WM 6.1 to WM 6.1 Pro? - The Pro Version has not so much funktiones - as i see...

OK i finally flashed WM6.1 PRO to my startrek. so *****ing as always (sorry Erofich, i just want to help you guys iron out the bugs), here is the bugs list. (to be updated as frequently as needed, so please check back this post)

1. Microphone AGC does not work. enabling will only get a white display with nothing (doesnt hang the device though). and when you check it again, it is still not enabled.
UPDATE : Will be removed in future version
2. When in fake cursor mode, if you leave the device there for a while and it does into standby, the device wakes up in a black dark screen, with only cursor working and the rest of the buttons disabled. cannot access anything too. (i have the owner information displayed on power up optoion checked)
UPDATE : According to Erofich, new cursor coming soon!
3. Camera software is not displaying properly. no menu can be seen, or message from the software cannot be seen. settings keys not working too.
UPDATE : Currently in development by Erofich
4. I noticed bluetooth light is flashing when device is switced on, however, when the OS is fully loaded, bluetooth is not ON. not really an issue, just an observation.

1. Old programs that are not designed with soft key feature is a really a PAIN. have to depend a lot on fake cursor. hopefully GreatVK will have a better solution for cursor.
UPDATE : Discovered an easier way of minimizing. double click on home key will minimize any running program.

this is WM6.1 PRO, smartphone softwares wont work with it (not fully compatible)

As I write I have a Lenovo ET960 sitting on my desk, which is lying there for the last 2 weeks as I am unable to figure out how to change its menu language from Chinese to English. My uncle who was never able to use it gave it to me after all these years. It has WM2003SE (I think!), although I am sure the experts here will know all about it. I am very keen on fixing this issue, the trouble is I am novice in this area.
I have done some background research, but I still need some help from all you guys here. I have the the following requests.
1) I understand that there is no way to change the language of this phone as the OS is hard-coded in the Chinese ROM. One way is to hack this Chinese ROM and change it to English using a HEX-editor. An alternate way would be to use a third-party software to change the language, however I could not find one for WM2003. Once I hack the ROM and make the necessary changes, I should, in principle be able to install an upgrade to WM2003 (which I also do not have with me!).
To hack the Chinese ROM in ET960 and solve this issue I would need to know two things:
(a) Where to locate the ROM in this pocket PC using my desktop PC (via a USB cable connection)?
(b) I need a reference ET960 ROM (ET980 ROM may also work!) in English to compare the values to change accordingly.
(c) Finally, an upgrade to WM2003/WM2003SE (the firmware upgrade d/l link) and the upgrade method.
Now the trouble is I have never flashed a ROM before, so I need to know the steps. In addition I would also need to know the steps to the upgrade process.
I have managed to download the following softwares/tools which I think will help in the process, but I dont want to start the process until I get some feedback from you guys here.
(1)The lenovo.zip file _ftp: / / ftp.roverbook.com / RoverPC /Lenovo_ET960/
and the (2) ET960update.exe from gsmforum.ru, which can be used as an update tool for both Lenevo ET960 and ET980. I have also managed to download the upgrade instructions, but only in Chinese!. This is where my research ends. Now I request you guys to help me with the missing links to convert my ppc into English.

This Thai review (use Google Chrome and translate it to English) states the following:
Languages: Support English, Simplified Chinese, Tranditional Chinese Input but can not display Traditional Chinese character.
The screenshots also show the phone is using English. It might be as simple as changing the system language in your MUI settings (in the registry: HKLM>MUI and change SysLang to 1033 Dec/0409 Hex...HKCU>MUI and change CurLang to 1033 Dec/0409 Hex).

I am getting back to my ET960 issue after a gap. I really want to make this device (which has a great design) usable, for which I will need to convert the user interface to English.
Rete, I made the registry changes you suggested but nothing changed. So I will need to to find an alternate solution.
The ET960 has WM2003SE (ROM version: S603 051229 which is not WWE). It displays all the system folders as well as some of the installed applications UIs in English. But most of it is in Chinese.
I installed an English localization software (Paragon Inc, LEng for WM6) which translated my ET960s interface completely to English. But, the ActiveSync stopped working and the system folders could not be accessed after the installation of LEng. This tells me that if I can replace the *.mui files from CHS to ENG in the ROM, I will get an English interface.
But the trouble is that I am new to all this and do not know where to start. So I request for some guidance.
The other option to make the device usable is to boot Android from a microSD card, but I could not find an Android version anywhere from my ET960 (which has similar hardware to MDA compact & Yakumo Omikron). Please advice.
I use a non branded (but I think it is a Deltaco) TB-109K bluetooth keyboard with swedish layout on my HTC HD2 with Win Mobile 6.5. When I first connected the keyboard with Windows own drivers the swedish letter did work but not some of the other buttons. So I decided to try to download and install the recommended drivers from the sellers webpage. After that I have English layout and the other buttons still doesn't work I tried to uninstall the driver but it's still English layout. Anyone know how to change it back?

I've been trying different things last night without success but I can add some more info of what I have done.
I've check in the registry and under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > HARDWARE > DEVICEMAP > KEYB > CurLang is set to 1053 or 41D as it should according to info I've found.
I've also tried to install FingerKey and AEKMap after another tip here on this forum. It did screw it up completely.
I've tried to download and install the latest version of BlueInput from TekSoft's website. I've also tried the BueInput version on the CD that come with the unit (acctually it seems to be a newer version than availible on TekSoft's website...)
Still same problem.
I really don't want to do a hardreset but it seems to be the only way to restore the original driver/settings?
Could it be the KBDHID.DLL-file that have been changed?
Does no one here know anything about this!? That surprises me since there seems to be some really skilled programmers here
This problem really drives me crazy! I'v tried a hard reset but the problem remains! That also surprises me but it seems BlueInput have changed something in my phone that not even a hard reset can do undone! But as I wrote earlier it worked before I installed BlueInput. So I know it can be done...
Hi, I was thinking about selling my US AT&T Titan from AT&T to my friend in Russia, and I noticed, that UI language is grayed out in settings. Any suggestion how to enable it? My focus S 2 lets me change language with no issues. Ideas?
Use windows phone cab sender to import language packages into your phone.
AT&T Titan only comes with 1 language pack...English. Samsung Focus S on the other hand comes with like 20.
