Registry Values, Pleas Help - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam Software Upgradin

Hello,
I have request for owners od Hermes.
Would someone write values from registry on path
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/HTC/Camera/P2" ?
This would be here:
"(Default)
CaptureFormat
CaptureType
Enable
EnableRecLimit
EncodeFormat
MainCamCaptSize
MainCamSupportCaptSize
Property
RecLimitedSize
RecLimitSize
SaveFolder"
and I am interesting about values of this keys.
I try set up video recording to higher resolution than 176x144 in HTC Artemis and this values from Hermes would be helpful for me.
Thanks for replies.

I get (decimal) :
CaptureFormat 16
CaptureType 1
Enable 1
EnableRecLimit 0
EncodeFormat 24
MainCamCaptSize 16
MainCamSupportCaptSize 58
Property 570
RecLimitedType 0
RecLimitSize 256000
SaveFolder My Videos
Good luck with your attempt
Cheers
Yannick

Thank you very much buddy

TomTom5 and Wm2005

Hi all
After finaly getting tomtom version 5 installed I run into the dreaded no backlight
Can any one help here please, I have tried the following so people know, thanks to all who help

Have tried messing with the backlight settings in the control control, no good
I have tried the tomtom backlight fix, installed the dll, run the setup, says copied shortcut, the shortcut is there with no icon, when i run it, nothing happens
Does any one else have any more ideas otherwise i will have to reflash my xda2 back to 2003 Sad
thanks to all who shed any light on this
Rik.
my backlight is fine wiv mine while using tomtom but it just leaves the blacklight and screen setting to neva timeout when i close it
Can i ask what settings you are using and how did you install it

final solution to tomtom5 backlight problem
Hello,
I was sick of using the regeditor to fix the messed up backlight settings everytime I started TomTom5, so I looked for a better solution.
I figured it would be the best if TomTom wouldnt mess with the settings
at all, so I changed the binary. it is not very hard to do.
copy the TomTom Navigator.exe to you windows pc.
grab a hex editor and change the following
0x182b9c 0x61 -> 0x62
0x182c0c 0x61 -> 0x62
0x182c3c 0x61 -> 0x62
0x182ca0 0x61 -> 0x62
what this does is change all the Registry Paths
ControlPanel\Backlight
to
ControlPanel\Bbcklight
as the result, TomTom will not be able to modify the settings at all.
everything will stay with your default values.
have fun
thanks man, that actually worked ! :lol:
wow
Great works a treat.. Just search for backlight and change it with a hex editor... Fantastic... Thanks
Re: final solution to tomtom5 backlight problem
This is right:
0x182bC9 0x61 -> 0x62
0x182c0c 0x61 -> 0x62
0x182c3c 0x61 -> 0x62
0x182ca0 0x61 -> 0x62

I used a "HHD Software Free Hex Editor" but can’t find this numbers to edit
This newbie (no program experience) need some help...pleazzzz
in my case 0x182bc9 value is 00 and 0x182b9c is 69. How can this be ? I changed both of them to 61 (in 2 different files, mind you) and they both work, allthough the latter crashed a few times.
@ postman : I used xvi32 from this site, no programming experience either. I just opened navigator.exe, went to the mentioned addresses and changed the numbers. Seems to work..........
thanks pleun, i will try and let you know.
other question: i see that u use the 1.60
and i use the 1.50i(64) i did that just for more space
wat works best with tomtom5? the 150 or the 160?
don't know, never used 1.50. I got plenty space on the SD card
thanx for the tip works great !
I downloaded the XVI32, opened the tomtom navigator.exe
And search for the mention files, but no result, can’t find anything
See attachment
use address and goto, not search
Thanks pleun,
I edit the 4 items and change them to 62
0x182bc9
0x182c0c
0x182c3c
0x182ca0
But the tomtomt will NOT start
...did I forget something?
I assume you saved the file after you edited it and copied it back to the correct location on the pda ?
yes, edit the 4 files and saved it to the exact same name as bevore and reload the exe to the same place on the mda2
i edit only the 0x182bc9 and not the ...9C
is that the problem?
well try to leave c9 as it is and edit 9c. Both of them work on my MDA but you never know. You can also email me the .exe and I'll try it on my device.
:lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
thanks pleun (and all who helps)
IT WORKS!!!
2 Questions left
1) is it also posible to create a shot cut to "today"
i have to browse to the program files
2) i have copy the data05.chk, data14 and data16.vif, but no dutch (bart) voice
any advice?

A way to get a faster Dual anyone?

I'm just wondering. Is it a way to get the Dual to "work" faster, any apps, tweaks etc. I'ts fast enough but if it can get faster, it is'ent a problem
I'm from Norway, sorry about my English
Remeber to close the app's after using them are a smart one
But i dont know any other way....(yet)
Norwegian:
Hvis du skrur av programmene etter bruk så går det litt fortere
Serlig hvis du har mange oppe
I know that, but is there like any tweaking programs or something that speeds up the dual?
Nordmenn innpå her også Flotte greier
overclock?
no overclock in the moment ...
Speed Tweaks
The following 3 Registry tweaks increase system performance and makes the Dual more responsive:
Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\GDI\GLYPHCACHE\
Changed limit from 16384 to 32768
Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\FATFS
Changed - CacheSize to 4096
Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\StorageManager\Filters\f sreplxfilt
Change “ReplStoreCacheSize” dword decimal value to 4096 or 8192 (I find 8192 best but you may find 4096 works better for you)
can anyone verify that these reg tweaks will speed up the responsiveness of our duals?
Work
The three Regisrty entries works with my Ita Dual, it seems to be more responsive and faster thanks gfreek
yes this key works ... i know some other deep in the FAT config ... must search for old docu ... if i found it ... i will post some other keys they work too!

My Glyphcache is only 8192 not 16384. What should I change it to?

hmm these settings don't seem to change much.
BUT the touchflo picture viewer is much slower now - when changing between pictures its not as smooth as before !
These settings are default on my german HTC Touch Dual.
Undying

spanish dual rom

Research on switch 16 / 20 key version (own 20, need someone with 16)

Hello all!
Currently working on identifying which parameters are causing the Nike to identify which Keyboard to use. Don't hope that the parameters are deeper in the ROM...
Can somebody with an 16 Keypad version (P5500) look which registry value following key contains:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OEM\Qwerty\Layout -- my Value: "1033" dec
I am currently using following ROM: US_Niki_6.1_V1.0_s600_touch.dll
If anybody has already clues, please share
thx and gtx qp
I have a 16 key version (P5500) and the value in the registry is: 2052
As I have the problem with the hardware keyboard (20 keys) I just flashed the original rom of O2 germany back and looked at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OEM\Qwerty\Layout. In the original ROM I have 1031 and in the Tom-Niki-Project-2.1.3 I have 2052 which gives me a 16 key keyboard.
After changing the value from 2052 to 1031 I got back my 20 keys keyboard.
Hope this helps.
Thanks guys for the Info!
I've tried to change the value to "2052" but it does not give me the 16 Key Layout.
I will try flashing the Tom-Niki-Project ROM.
greetings!

Abnormal GlEngine stop during the GPS lock

Hi Experts,
I have a following problem with glgps during the tests on the phone with MTK6577 platform with 4.0.4 ICS (Broadcom 4751 A2 as onboard GPS chip) :
When I start any navigation application I see the glgps crash with following messages in logs :

"
I searched anywhere but ... failed.
Have you any ideas ?
How to troubleshoot this issue ?
Is it the any misconfiguration in gpsconfig.xml or glgps daemon bug ?
I can send any diagnostics and configs
Thanks a lot for your response.
I have Just Diagnosed the Cause but not successful with any solid solution so far.
Similar problem i have with my MTK6575 smartphone (QMobile A6) , Problem is due to InCorrect calculation of Time by GlEngine when it is using NVRAM as timesource, GlEngine is neither using NTP Servers nor Cell Towers as timing source, it is only using either NVRAM time (Calculated) by default or GPS time (Download),
now if it using NVRAM as time source,
14:25:35.464 $081969I FixStatus: TimeSource 1
14:25:35.464 --GlPe_FixStatus::SetSIGMeasuement Setting utc time to 2012 (yr) 11 (mo) 25 (dt) 9 (hr) 5 (mn) 14 (sec) 565 (ms) 0 (us) 1000000 (prec)
It mostly Stops Abnormally. But on the next Startup, it resets it time to year 2007, and use GPS provided time as source.
21:56:02.218 $134952I FixStatus: TimeSource 0
21:56:02.218 --GlPe_FixStatus::SetSIGMeasuement Setting utc time to 2007 (yr) 3 (mo) 31 (dt) 23 (hr) 59 (mn) 58 (sec) 79 (ms) 0 (us) -1 (prec)
in that case it takes a little time but do not shutdown and using Supl Server it could easily locks and remain Locked but from next time it again use time stored in NVRAM as stored, which could again give similar result.
I did'nt see any configuration in GPSCONFIG.XML to use GPS satellites as default time source and ignore NVRAM stored time.
so the GlEngine (/system/bin/glgps) need modifications.
i have different GlEngines with no luck so far, if any one could understand the cause, plz Advise the Solution
Plz also see my article on XDA.

Question to bootanimation related to desc.txt

Hi Guys,
i´m making my first own bootanimation and i am nearly complete done. There is just one single problem thats driving me crazy with the desc.txt. I did read about 5 or 6 different "how tos" but if i change the desc.txt file to what i want the device just dont show the bootanimation. This is my actual desc.txt:
1080 1080 30
c 1 0 part1
c 0 0 part2
c 1 0 part3
Sure there is an empty line at the end and with this the bootanimation is working but not the way i want it. I would like to have it without a loop. As i understand the guides i did read correct it should look like this:
1080 1080 30
c 1 0 part1
c 1 0 part2
c 1 0 part3
But if i change it that way the animation isnt playing at all. Maybe someone can point me in the right direction or tell me what i´m doing wrong. Would be really great if someone could help me.
Regards.
