Tactile feedback in phoneapp instead of DTMF-sounds? - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam Software Upgradin

Hi there!
I wonder if anyone knows wich registry keys that need to be changed in order to get tactile feedback instead of DTMF tones when entering numbers in phone app?
Remember that i did this on my S100 (Magician), but cant remember wich keys i altered...
Thanks in advance, and happy easter holiday

Thanks for fast reply!
Shame that the cab-file isn't compatible with WM6:-(
Does anyone else have the right registry keys that need to be changed, or a registry file that I can import to an registry editor?

i dont know if its the same on the hermes, but did you happen to read that thread, it told you what keys are being edited....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=967559&postcount=12

I believe that those are the correct keys that should be altered.
I'll try them in a while!
Thanks for coming up with that link for me!

Seriously thanks for that shogunmark!
It worked

Can not find registry on my G4. . .

I downloaded the Slide2Unlock app on my 8125 G4 and I'm trying to change the clock settings but in order to do so I have to find this registry
\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\A_C\Slide2Unlock
But I can;t seem to find it. Am I blind? I swear I've looked everywhere for it but no luck. Any advice or help? Thanx! =)
- Eric
what level can you see to?
what i have found so far is that quite often you have to add the last part of the key in this case "Slide2Unlock" and its value.
NVM!!!!!!!!
I just had a friend tell me about a registry editor and i downloaded it and fixed my problem. Thanx to anyone who helped! =)

Edit widescreen-menu

hey guys,
does someone of you know how to edit the widescreen-menu (the menu which appears if you pull out the keyboard => http://www.areadvd.de/images/2008/IFA%202008%20Mobilphones/downsampeled/HTC_S740.jpg).
It would be great if it is possible to add links to other programms like MS OneNote mobile.
thank you,
D4P5
Note sure if you can edit it. But I've done a quick look around the registry and found a few things under: HKLM\Software\HTC\ActionMenu
No real time to try out what it does though, and I disabled it anyway!

Left softkey to Manila All People tab?

I am looking for a way of re-assigning the left softkey on my home tab to open the Manila All People tab rather than having to bring my hidden slider up, scroll to People tab then click the All People softkey. I know how to reassign the softkey and edit the softkey text in the registry, I just need help with the correct path for the All People tab. Is there anyone out there clever enough to be able to furnish me with this (if indeed it is possible)
Try This

Try this with a registry editor (i.e. PHM Regedit)
Navigate to
HKLM/Software/HTC/Manila
Check For & Change (Type exactly as it is)
HomeLSKPath = !"\Windows\manila.exe" --switchtopage Manila://people\browserlayer\?.page
Edit the Label
HomeLSKText = Contacts (Text Can be anything you like - Mine says 'Contacts' but if you want you can label it as 'All People')
EDIT: Special thank to Tboy2000 for including this in his thread even I never noticed and a special thank to morpheus1982 for pointing .
First prize to that man!

Great idea! Works perfect
thanks, always good info!!
modification requested!
Hi,
I assigned soft-key to All People, thank you.
But I only ever use it to search for a specific contact by pressing Search icon in upper right corner (not by scrolling through the alphabet on the right).
So is it possible to save one extra press and assign to the soft-key the address to open the search field with cursor in it?
Hope I described the requirement clearly enough
The alternative option is to use phone interface and type the name on the numeric keys - but it is noisy.
Thanks in advance for any info.
G.
I don't really understand this, is it in the "String" I shall write this down?
Edit: I got it working
ohhh how would i make an actual shortcut to my all people tab so i can have it as a quick link?

Just choose it as a quicklink?
I cant choose it on the links because there is no shortcut to it, but I sorted it now. I just made a txt file, put the 99#"\Windows\manila.exe" --switchtopage Manila://people\browserlayer\?.page in the file, changed it from a .txt to a .lnk and dropped iot in my starmenu
Works a treat!

Of course it is nice to help someone, but are you not taking the credit for something that was writting in the Leo Tips and Hints Sticky thread written by Tboy2000?
I am not

Mate,
I am not taking credit for anything ... I just helped him to get what he needed as I was also using this for a long time.. May be Tboy2000 has published this in his thread which is good for everybody... and this is one of the things I do right after a flash .. If you ever use Energy ROMs you will see that NRGZ always assigns left soft key to the "Action Screen" which I change to contacts ..
Anyway if it's in Tboy2000's thread, credit to him for publishing this and once again I expect no credit for this .. was just trying to help a guy without telling him to "Search the damn forum first" with the information I already had in my hand ..
Thank you very much mate ... and really appreciate the concern ..
EDIT: I updated the first reply
Thanks
I am looking forward to this a lot. So many thanks....

You just need to find the exe file for lock and follow the same instructions using that path. Cna you not just press your end key to switch screen off - this also locks the device on my phone?

its not part of manila, its part of windows. I would imagine its part of a dll / cpl file. (Certainly the icon reference seems to be cplmain.cpl,1)
I would guess its built in to the start menu control app, so not just a simple edit. (tho if im wrong, it might be nice.)

[Q] Remove Lockscreen Arrows

Hi guys,
I am trying to make a lockscreen and I was wondering how to remove the arrows on the windows lockscreen on CHT2. It would be great if someone could help me.
Thanks in advance,
G
EDIT: Thanks to santod040 I was able to make a cab... it's attached on this post.
have a read of the lockscreen link in my sig

Thanks but how do I get it to work for CHT2 lockscreen and not the original windows one...
sorry, not looked at the difference. if its still a .cpr file then its the same.
Im assuming you mean the "windows" cht lockscreen, not the manila or hd mini.....
I think this option must still utilise elements of the traditional wm lockscreen (those mentioned in sams link) and just skin the slider because Ive never come across those arrows in any of the files installed by CHT.........
You'd probably get an answer to this one over in themes and apps or even in the CHT thread.
So I've been checking out all the png files (and soon the manila files) to see which ones are arrows and I am changing them to transparent images - I hope that will work.
Anyways I tried skinning already - that didn't work. Lets hope I can find the image lol
They're not in with the cht files...
I've been through em all. Unless they are tucked away in an m9 or luau file but I haven't noticed any referring to the lockscreen.
Sam's link is the key to this one I think.
Chipped From The Bunker Via A Sandwedge
So I haven't been through the cht files but I'll trust you. In the png files in the windows folder there are identical arrows but after changing them they still show up. I tried playing around with the cpr file and I think that you guys are right - But I think Co0kie made his own cpr file which I also cant find...
Wait no it cant be the cpr files - In order to change a cht lockscreen slider you must add a manilla file - but ever cpr file says the slider exists as \windows\slider or something like that with a png at the end!
Ill ask around for an answer to this one because its bugging the hell out of me now

Thanks man that would be awesome if you could find the answer!!!
So, Conan asked me if I would look at this thread for you.
What I will tell you, is that the .cpr file is mostly a map of the lockscreen layout.
It determines sizes and positions of each element and can be easily edited with Chome Editor.
Although the images you seek are simple .png's within the Windows folder.
Should be named:
htc_arr_loop_r4.png
htc_arr_loop_l4.png
Both are 58x26
Hope that helps.
Thanks so much for that man
Was driving myself nuts looking for those pesky little arrows

Hmm, ok, then I must dig a little.
I will get back to you on this again then.
Sorry about that, I thought for sure they were shared by both.
I will check it on mine before posting further.
So, I was not clearly thinking.
Inside CHT are these images.
60EB9E41_manila and 48AC377B_manila
The others were for WinMo's own lockscreen images, and there are more of them for the notifications, etc,.

Ok santod thanks sooo much! You were right those are the files. For everyone here who wants the cab here it is...
