Did you re-enter or use a cab file to reset your carriers GPRS/MMS settings?
most custom roms don't include carrier specific customizations. Either you will have to run these from your original ext-rom (if you saved it off or didn't overwrite it) or you can probably re-enter manually by following steps in the support section of your carrier's website.
You may be able to find the information here in these threads. Kind of hard to search for though because someone asks in every single rom thread about them, and after a while people stop answering them.

try going to start > settings> phone > Services > tick on Call Barring then tap "get settings" ... then wait a few seconds while it reads the settings from the network.. and you will get a new screen.. change both of them to off... hit ok.. this should solve your problems

I have not used any CAB file to enter GPRS/MMS settings, i have entered settings for GPRS/MMS as given on my carrier web site.
start > settings> phone > Services > tick on Call Barring then tap "get settings" All call barring settings are off. I have done soft and hard reset, non worked.
I dont remember having this problem with ROM when i bought tytn.
I am having latest ROM right now.

Unable to send text messages

I can not send any text messages. Recieving messages are no problem. But when I want to answer or a make new massage, when I send, it says "Unable to send message after multiple attempts"
Any ideas on this?
EDIT:
I have it also with some other ROMs, only when I go back to stock ROM the problem is gone..
I'm currently on ChocolateEclair, had same issue with VanillaEclair 4.0 and MoDaCo 3.2.

I have the same problem since version 10 of villain... tried diff radios.. everything works except sms
I found the solution, at least it worked for me
Go to Messages, then press menu, preferences. Then you will see "Service Center Number" or something like that.
If it's blank, go to google and type the following:
-> "your provider here" Service Center number <-
If you find the number type it down under "Service Center Number".
After doing all that you should be done.
ty
worked for me

I can't send sms..please help me

Hi all.. I'm sorry for my english, it's not the best
My problem is this: from this morning my phone (x10 mini) can't send sms..when I try to send one it says that's impossible
I tryed a factory reset, then an update to last firmware..nothing.
When I try to change the SMSC (by dialing *#*#4636#*#*) it says "update error"
the strangeness is that if i try my sim card in another phone it works and if i try another sim card in my x10 mini..it works! It's strange because i used my sim in x10mini from november 2010 without problem..
can you help me please? I hope in you!!
thanks
Hi,
Go to default massager application - system "Conversations", and hit "Menu" button. Select settings, and then choose to set number of Message Center. Set number of your carrier message center, and save. I'm pretty sure that will help in your case.
EDIT: Sorry, didn't read through your post. That is a strange problem.
Nothing? :-(

Hi all.. I tried everything but SMS doesn't work..
is there an app to manage SMSC that I can replace?
I'm having the same problem. It just holds the "sending" state and never sends the sms.
Solved:
1. Open your dialler and dial: *#*#4636#*#*.
2. From the menus which appear, select Phone Information.
3. Scroll down to SMSC.
4. Enter the SMS centre number given by your provider in this box.
5. Select Update.

[Q] Help Please, Internal Phone info shows wrong number

Help Please, Internal Phone info shows wrong number
My Optimus V shows my phone as having the number XXX-XXX-XX0X vice the actual XXX-XXX-XX8X under Settings/About Phone/Status. (If some one calls the XX0X that gets a business somewhere, if XX8X is called they reach me). My online account at VM is under the XX8X number too. I want to correct the "My Phone Number" to XX8X (from the XX0X). Does anyone know which file stores this information so I can edit it with root explorer or otherwise fix it?
Thanx Very Much
(tried the question thread but no response there.
Cm7 roms you can just change it in setttings
Settings > Call settings > Additional settings (for GSM) > My phone number.
Please note that the Additional settings menu may not work for some operators.

Bummer no "additional settings.." option on my OV. Thanx anyway. I may go to CM7 sometime soon and will use that method.
Do you have stock ROM or a custom ROM? If you are on stock ROM you should be able to use the activate app to rerun activation which should fix it. If that doesn't call VM and they can tell you have to change it since you may also need to change your msid number. If your not on stock you will probably have to backup your current ROM, flash a stock ROM to fix it and then you can restore your custom ROM

I can't receive or see MMS without doing the following:
1. Go to your SMS app
2. Tap on menu and hit "Settings"
3. Under MMS the Automatic Detention / Automatic Transfer / Automatic Download is ticked right?
4. Remove the tick from it
5. Save your definitions
6. Now when you receive a MMS you will see something like "Download" a button in the normal conversation
7. Turn on your Data
8. Hit download
9. Congrats you are done!
Note: If you get stuck while downloading, which means it keeps saying downloading but you don't receive anything, please turn data off, reboot your phone, turn data on, hit download.
Always works for me, hope I could help you out!

[SOLVED] Mobile data exclamation mark

Hey guys,
I wanted to make a post about this issue as I spend some time searching the Internet for a solution.
My girlfriend had this problem on her OnePlus 6T but I understood later it wasn't related to the phone.
What happened was the internet connection didn't work except for some apps like WhatsApp and Messenger, and there was an exclamation mark next to the mobile data icon.
This indicates that the internet server cannot be reached, and this issue can have many causes from what I saw on the forums.
So the aim here is to list all the possible causes and the associated solutions, instead of posting on a 2 year old thread.
#1 You have used all your data
This was actually her problem, and I'm glad I saw a guy asking this question on a forum because it is so obvious we don't think about it.
And I suspect this is the most common issue, with some people saying the problem disappeared a few days later. So in this case you know what to do!
#2 OTA update issue
Apparently an update can reset the APN (access point name) settings and make the phone connect to a server that is not configured to provide internet
1. First go to settings
2. Mobile Network Settings
3. Access Point Names
4. Open the three dots on the right hand corner
5. Reset to default
6. Reboot
If it still doesn't work make sure your 'APN Type' field contains at least "default, supl".
Next option is to enter manually the APN settings, for that:
1. Find a webpage from your carrier explaining which settings to enter to configure the APN
2. Go to Mobile Network Settings/APN
3. Click on the "+" and enter the settings
#3 Unknown issue
Here are some other possible solutions to the problem:
Change preferred network
1. Go to Network settings
2. Mobile network
3. Change the preferred network to 3G
4. Wait until the exclamation point disappears, now it should work on the 3G network
5. Switch back to 4G
These methods have not provided results from what I've seen, but if none of the above solution worked you may want to try!
Clear the GPlay services cache
1. Go to settings
2. Applications
3. Google play services
4. Memory usage
5. Clear cache
Clearing Cache
1. Power down the phone.
2. Wait until the device is completely off.
3. Then press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons at the same time.
4. Continue holding these two buttons during the initial OnePlus splash screen.
5. When the OnePlus logo goes away, you can let go of these two buttons.
6. And then wait until the phone boots into Recovery Mode.
7. If you have a password set, you will have to enter the pin to decrypt(basically unlock access to storage) here.
8. Tap on the language of your choice.
9. Tap on the Wipe Data and Cache option.
10. Tap on the Wipe Cache option.
11. Tap the Yes option when asked to confirm.
12. Wait for the phone to clear the cache partition.
13. Then tap on the Reboot option to restart the phone.
