NEW ATOM ROM !

When is O2 going to release a new rom for the atom ?
i am dying to know what will they improve.. i just hope they :
1) enable quadband
2) make wifi g
3) stereo bt with a2dp FULL support (no hissing sound)
4) make the unit faster and compatible with wisbar advance 2.
if they make all that would be perfect.
It's impossible to make atom become quadband and wifi G, coz the hardware that installed in atom only support triple band and wifi B.
And for WA2...use the latest WA2, it's works on atom
You make me laugh  "Enable 802.11G & Quad Band"...May be ask them to enable 4mpx in camera,VGA resolution in the screen,3g communication,624Mhz processor,4gb Flash,2500Mah battery,TV Tuner and more...
Its hardware, its can't be "enabled" if device's hardware does not support this futures
Not to mention using "NEW ATOM ROM!" in caps as the message subject. I actually thought a new ROM was out.
Your title is pretty misleading bro!
You can say that again chrisani!!!

Is there an echo here?

Speeds of various roms

Hey folks,
Can anyone advise as to the relative speeds of the roms available?
I have an Orange M3100 and it's a dog, whereas other models SEEM to be faster (I've not actually tried them though).
Does anyone have experience of the Orange rom and one of the others (iMate, Qtek or whatever)? Really need to know before flashing the rom and invalidating the warranty!
Cheers,
F.
The only rom performance comparison I've seen so far is this one:

It's TyTN 1.18 vs Cingular 1.30

No Atom is not same as
No Atom is not same as you specified model.
Many said that the HP RW6815 is better than Atom.. It has similar form but the sound quality is better in RW6815...

ARE U SURE ABOUT THIS INFO..COZ am trying the ATOM cid unlock solution without success.
How to Flash ATOM ROM on RW6815....
to Achieve sim unlocking
Yeh im still new and picking up my HP IPAQ RW6828 today but from what ive read on these forums so far, and correct me if i am wrong.
The HP IPAQ RW6800 models arent capable of flashing O2 Atom roms due to a lock/ encryption on the RUU.
...and I think the HP IPAQ RW6828 is a better comparison to the O2 Atom (not exec). Build wise based on peoples opinion the O2 leaves fingerprint marks on the gloss body and also is a little less durable to hits compared to the HP. But to be honest I dont mind a nice gloss
But besides that i think you referring to it being better might be for the fact that the rom is more stable. Although now O2 is releasing newer roms with fixes and yeh thats my 2 cents.

iam confused can any body tell me whats the difference between

iam confused can any body tell me whats the difference between jamin and o2 atom and which is the best... plz help me out
The JAMin is manufactured by HTC, the Atom is made by MWg. They both have similar specs although the Atom has a faster processor and is slightly smaller.

I don't know which one is the best, but I would probably go with the JAMin/Prophet because I like HTC, and I like the phone alot...

the animated clock is not a patch, it is a theme for animated today, so it can not be included into roms. i´ve got the mda touch plus too, using the niki project v2 edited... works very nice.. by the way: you dont need cid unlock. just flash hspl, flash the rom, and you´re done
quick question, what rom you guys using? i'm using the sedna one and it seems to work ok but i keep getting dropped signals, texts not getting through despite the other person getting a delivery report, straight to vmails etc
i'm trying to figure out which rom is the best for tmobile uk
cheers
u speak about a radio rom...
yes, sorry, should have made that clear
using tom's edited rom and using the modded sedna radio rom at the mo
Tried them all...
I'm on T-Mobile UK too...
Tried all the roms and radios, having previously worked with Wizard, Artemis, Touch and Kaiser...
The ROMS for the Nike are nowhere near as varied as some for other devices... some of the newer ones have some nice themes and stuff, but IMHO, I always seem to end up with a ROM from and established cooker... I've used Tom's stuff on other devices, and his current Editor ROM is at least as good if not better than anything else around. I'm just trying the Sedna Radio with it, but haven't noticed any difference from the old radio yet.
My requirements aren't much - I run Opera Mini from within a java manager, and the in-cooked Jblend works fine, and as well as standard mail usage, and I launcher for my simple today screen, my main other requirement is SatNav, and TomTom7, IGO8 and Copilot all work fine - TomTom7 is less visually pleasing but is the most responsive and easiest to use in-car, so it's my choice. Bluetooth is fine for both GPS and my car stereo, so I can't really find anything in Tom's ROM to man about (except the missing GPRS icon!)
is the sedna radio better? also, just curious, why opera mini not opera mobile 9.5?

Opera Mini is faster and more useable. For 'normal' use, eg looking at message boards, forums, news etc, opera mini is super fast and easy to use. It does the rendering very quickly, and is simple and smooth... Opera Mobile is a bit slower and less useable, but still better than IE!
