Connection between Qtek 8100 and Holux 230

Is there somebody who know which steps I need to take to make a connection between a qtek 8100 and a GPS bleutooth Holux 230, this in combination with tomtom mobile 5?
....
This works.....I just installed TT 5.20 on a Qtek 8100, and it rocks
I'm reviving an old thread here. I'm not getting anywhere with my 8100 and Hollux GR-230, even with these advices. I've even tried to give the GPS the same name in Norwegian, but to no avail. The weird thing is that if I connect the GPS, start TomTom and exit TomTom again, there's no paired GPS in the phone anymore! Does anybody know why? I'm using rom image 4.21.1088 (build 14273.2.1.0) and radio ROM 1337.0.32_0.03.18. Should I upgrade to a later ROM?
the paring password is 6268

Help - Calling anyone who uses a TomTom Go 910/710/510 with their Hermes

I have a TomTom Go 910 and an M3100 running WM6.
I have been using the hands-free BT connection with no problem.
However, I recently tried to set up a data connection to access TomTom Plus services through the phone over BT, and the setup routine fails every time. (I have no problem connecting to the internet over WAP from the phone in general).
Of course, TomTom support refuse to help, telling me that the phone is not supported for the 910. According to them I should not even be able to use the hands-free feature...
Before I go spending hours trying different ROMs and BT stacks etc., does anyone out there have the same setup (even with a 710 or 510) and got it to work? (No point wasting time if they are simply not compatible and no one has actually got it to work).
Thanks for your help
My very basic guess is that you need to use the Internet Connection Sharing program on windows mobile, as just paring the devices won't do anything.
So I guess I fire ICS up and and choose Bluetooth PAN and then try to see if TomTom sees it.?
I'll try tonight and report back.
Thanks for the suggestion.
Let us know how it goes. But isn't WM6 lacking either PAN or DUN that's required to establish the connection?
No luck using ICS

Well, I tried it... no luck. TomTom still insists on going through a DUN setup routine (entering access point, GPRS dial-up number, etc.) and promptly fails both with automatic and manual setup. It does not detect the PAN already running with ICS connected.
I wonder if DUN can be ported back to WM6 with CABs from WM5?
Any other ideas?

bluetooth PAN?

i am on windows mobile 5 with tytn, i had earlier upgraded to windows black 6, somehow i stuck on tricolor screen... while radio upgrade.
now i am safely back on windows mobile 5.
HOW TO ENABLE BLUETOOTH PAN, WHICH WAS EXISTING ON WINDOWS MOBILE 6.. SHOULD I CHANGE MY BLUETOOTH STACK TO WIDCOMM OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT... OR IT IS JUST NOT POSSIBLE ON windows mobile 5.
THANKS

actually you will find it if you read the wiki and forums.
in wm6, go to the internet sharing program inside of the programs folder to start BT PAN
thank u fr a prompt help. but I need to know the procedure fr windows mobile 5 and not 6.
thnx

for WM5, the bluetooth internet sharing works differently, you will need to configure your bluetooth on your PC to add a BT modem and the dopod works like a bluetooth modem. then get the phone number to dial for internet connections from your telco. it will work exactly like a modem.
Bluetooth pan is an AKU 3 thing, so if you WM5 is aku3 you should have Bluetooth pan as a Bluetooth service.
for instance Cingular's WM5 is aku3 and can be downloaded here

RDS-TMC Tomtom Traffic antenna mini USB

RDS-TMC Tomtom Traffic antenna mini USB has a mini usb connection. i was woundering if anybody had used this to try and connect to the Touch HD for using for the tomtom traffic feture ?? would love to know and if possible ?
With some drivers (you can find Hypergps on xda) you can use the headset as tmc antenna.

try it, on igo8 work fine!
TomTom 7 for PDA's does not have the option for receiving TMC data - it can only receive traffic information via GPRS data connection to the server.
Thanks for the information guys. Tomtom 7 dont support it, i just realised but am hoping in the future vertion 8 comes along which does support it. tmc-rds is free in the UK.
works with iGo by the look of things.
will have to wait and see if tomtom vertion 8 gets on to ppc's.
i upgraded my old tomtom one to latest vertion. shame ppcs still only got vertion 7.
thanks agian for the info.
cheers
