SDHC Driver for WM6
http://rapidshare.com/files/54000980/sdhc-driver-x500.zip

Thx m8 but still is not working, i thik is a hardware problem ... the wizard dose not suport SDHC.

As stated in many other threads, SDHC will never come to the Wizard, the hardware does not support it, and no matter how many times people ask, it will still not work.
/end rant

Actually SDHC is not a hardware issue but rather a driver issue to understand the new format of the SDHC cards.

Im a little bit confused with MINI-SD & MINI-SDHC.
According to wat i'd read was HTC WIZARD mini-sd, expandable upto 2GB.
I want to buy a 4gb card.
Will it work with my Wizard - HT617 ???
Will an SDHC card work?? or Do i need a MINI SD - 4GB only???
If yes, Wher can i get a 4GB MINI SD(non sdhc) card??? plz post new active links.....of sellers....
Plz Xcuse for my kiddo Questions......

Have a thread in HTC Universal about a member who developped a .cab file and a ROM that read mini SdHC. Universal, as we now, is windows mobile too. I tryed the cab on my Qtek A9100 e doesn't work.
But I'm still holdind my sdhc card. Let's wait. They will find a solution.
My english is bad? Sorry.

finally someone that thinks the same as me. like i said my self too that its a driver problem. i have a dell axim x50v upgraded to wm6(cool ) and it supports SDHC cards and this device was made maybe when the prototypes of SDHC cards where being made.
I feel that right now they wont work but later we will get them to work.

4 GB Mini SD
I've been using a 4 gig card now for a few months - every 30 days or so have to reformat the card. Working though. Bought mine on Ebay.

4 Gb works very well, but SDHC, don't.

Agreed SDHC doesn't work at all, but to say 4GB works "very well" is totally misleading. Look at all the posts from people reporting problems with 4GB cards. You're extremely lucky indeed if you can find a totally reliable 4GB non-SDHC card. Even people reporting success tend to post again a couple of months later reporting corruption or total breakdown of the card.

So there is no driver out there for SDHC?
I guess that means upgrading to WM6.....

WM6 won't help either. There's rumour of support in some roms but nobody actually running an SDHC card.
I was thinking that it might be possible to produce a hardware SDHC Transflash to SD Mini adapter. The problem lies in how the card is addressed, so if an SD Mini adapter could be made with a built-in SD to SDHC interface the problem would effectively go away. There might be some incentive for the industry to produce such an interface if the price of >4GB SDHC Transflash cards drops low enough.
I guess there might be overheads in access times and power consumption though. Any thoughts?

Oooo, a month passed, but no driver for wizard appeared.
How about Wizard SDHC?

anybody can you tell which non SDHC 4gb card tu buy ?

I bought a minisd card no sdhc and it works great, it has no label of brand only minisd i look at several and they look all the same to me, probably they are made in the same place and they only change the label But if you whant a faster card try one of sandisk extreme maybe there is one without sdhc. Hope it helps

I've been using a Topram 4gb miniSD for almost a year now and have never had it fail or had to re-format it.

2gb SD from A-data and Expansys: compatible? Any good?

Has anyone tried the 2gb SD cards from A-data or the ones from Expansys? I would like to know if they're compatible with the qtek 9090.
They're supposed to be high-speed but I guess that won't make much difference if the device doesn't support this. Doesn't matter, I just want to know if it'll work or not.
Also, does anyone have any experience with the reliability of these cards? They don't explode after two and a half read/write operations or anything?

I never try that brand but im using 2GB from sandisk on my BA it work fine...
I have a 1GB A-DATA 60x speed and have no problems.
GREAT, thank you both -- dankjewel and dakujem (hope this is correct, jozefr). God I love this forum!
yes it's correct DAKUJEM = THANKS
btw if you get the 2GB A-DATA let me know if it's really ok, i'm thinking about upgrading from 1GB to 2GB too. And the A-DATA 150x is the one i think i buy too
there is a 4GB card available as well http://cgi.ebay.com/New-150X-AData-...yZ103409QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Just wondering if any of you had used a Kingston 64mb card. It seems that it only works whenever it wants in my BA, but works just fine when i use it with a readon on my PC. Just trying to figure out if it's the phone or it's time to get a new card.
Thanks in advance ...
The 2Gb ADATA 150x card DOES work!

In theory you should be able to use any size of card. The card itself handes the physical addressing, so things like the 137 GB limits of IDE should be a thing of the past. If the device has an issue with it, it's because the device is buggy.

Saw this on engadget.. will it work with the TyTn?

http://www.kingmaxdigi.com/news/news_product/news_p20070109.htm
NO! Hermes doesn't support microSDHC memory card.
are you sure?
Did anyone tried it? Or is this what you heard?
check the following registry location:
HKLM/Drivers/Builtin and see if there's an SDHC key there. If so, then your TyTN supports SDHC
my 8525 has a SDHC folder.
So does my Vario II
Mt Tytn does too. Full of keys
My 8525 has it too?
Please post successes.... one site said that you might need to partition it into 2GB partitions?
The 2GB partition issue should apply only if you format using FAT16, which is limited to 2GB partitions. If you use FAT32, you should be OK.
Will a WinXP machine with SD reader be able to read and format these SDHC cards?

I can confirm the key exists on my 8525, too; however, is this not just WM5 software support?
I can't find any 8525 literature that actually confirms the 8525 hardware can actually handle SDHC... The only thing I can find is the SanDisk "check with your manufacturer..." blah:
http://www.sandisk.com/Compatibility/Device(8437)-Cingular-8525.aspx
Confirmation would be nice to know before paying the new-tech price premium on a new card. it would also be nice to know in case there are any 8GB cards around the corner
If anyone finds a place to actually buy one of these cards, PM me the link. I'll buy it, try it on my 8525 and report back.
I've been looking off and on for a few weeks now for someplace with the 4Gb in stock with no dice yet.

The trinity uses a mini SD, not micro SD. I've still yet to see anywhere to buy a 4Gb micro SD.
i read on the internet that the 4gb sdhc cards won't be making their debut until mid may or so....
hopefully some gadget sites will have specials or what not so not all of us go wasting $60 bucks to go get one and have it fail on us
4GB-6GB MicroSD HC HTC TyTn (Hermes 100) Support
I have an HTC TyTyn (Hermes 100). Just yesterday I purchased a 4GB MicroSD HC (SanDisk) and a 6GB MicroSD HC (SanDisk) to try them out on my TyTn to see if they would work as I have been hearing it does and doesn't. I want to assure you all that both 4GB and 8GB SDHC memory worked on my device!!! So the HTC TyTn (Hermes 100) does support\work with both of these new SDHC memory sizes. I saw an 8GB SDHC but I was already over my budget but I'm assuming it should work as the other sizes worked without a problem. If someone tries out the 8GB SDHC memory please let us all know your results. I'm using the official HTC TyTn ROM WM6 update so those of you that are having issues using the new SDHC memory it may be due to the WM5 software. Get the update from the HTC site and these SDHC memory should work just fine... These SDHC cards are out there so they shouldn't be hard to find via the web.... Now I can load up all of my GPS maps!!! SWEET!!!Thanks All....
i have cingular 8525 with the tytn htc rom with micro sdhc 4 gb works great put lots of songs and movies on it

4GB microsd in WM6 Hermes??

Tried to search but could not find the answer here on the forum?
I have Cingular 8525 now with Black Dymond 3.5 WM6 rom.
Does 4gb micorsd card work with new WM6 Hermes or no? If yes then can somebody plesae give recommendations on good 4gb microsd cards for Hermes.
Thanks
GG
This has been discussed quite extensively in numerous threads such as this one. The bottom line is that although the Hermes may one day support a standard 4GB microsd card, it may not support SDHC until improvements are made to WM6.
Thanks
So for now the olny option is 2GB microsd at max.
i had the 4 gb microsd preordered hasn't come it yet it is not microsdhc. ill try it whenever it gets here.

It has already been tried, no go. However this is most likely to be addressed with updated sd drivers, there is no chip dedicated to reading the sd card which is another pointer towards a driver based sd reader.
I know several members are looking into grabbing the sdhc code from the trinity but this is based in XIP (execute in place) so might be difficile to realise.
Also it is known there are sdhc drivers around but not currently in ANY of the roms we have on the hermes.
SDHC count me in
Wonder what one has to do to get that firmware upgrade?
should work with transflash 4gb micro sd., note :TRANSFLASH
Read somewhere that 4gb microsd sdhc work with black shadow rom. Can somebody confirm it?
See this thread starting around post 220 or so. It appears that the latest versions of WM6 allow the use of SDHC. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=308019&page=23
EDIT: And this thread seems to confirm it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=311718

I'm going to buy the same, even if I'd like to find the Kingmax class6 microsd because it has a much higher transfer speed.
Can you give some feedback on the sandisk one?

Does someone know where can I buy the Kingmax microsd?
Many thanks!

-Can the proper drivers be installed on a normal WM5 ROM?

SDHC cards possible on Charmer

Hi all,
I just go my hands on a 6GB Micro SDHC Card, but my Charmer with the latest Mobile 6 Touch flow on it does not recognize it.
I also tried the HTC SDHC cab file
(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=310456&page=4)
with no success.
Does anybody have a solution, or is it a HW problem?
BR,
JJ
Hi! (First post )
I have that same problem Anybody knows something about it?
You have to rewrite the driver. I can look into it in the middle of the next week.
Any luck?
No time till now but I haven't forgotten that.
That would really be great!
Wow, SDHC on a Charmer, that would be a "killer-app", though not really an app
Hardware manufacturers always try to force us to buy new things (together with sofware manufacturers, of course), with files and programs getting bigger and bigger and standard SD restricted to a maximum of 4GB, the charmer would soon be (well, at least in 1 -2 years) found in museums only, unless there was a way to use SDHC...
Soory buy to say, but I can only make SDHC up to 4GB working, cause this is the hareware limit and till now I wasn't able to port the driver.
8GB in two partitions...
Oh, I don't think this limit would be a problem, I heard Windows Mobile can handle storage cards with more than one partition, so you could partition an 8GB SDHC card into two 4GB partitions and then have two storage cards in one...
What's really funny is that Windows Vista canNOT handle storage cards with two partitions, though one might think being the "bigger" OS it should have more abilities than Windows Mobile
Anyway, one could easily fill the two partitions with a Linux OS
Linux is great . But I have to say no your Idea doesn't work cause the reader supports only 4GB. Two partitions at 4GB in one card means 4+4=8. 8 is 4 too big cause not the partition counts but the full card.
I triead also with all of the sdhc drivers and registry tweaks but no good.
Mine is Super Talent 4gb sdhc card.
Any sugestions?
ChrBeck have you managed to make it work?
ChrBeck:
"Soory buy to say, but I can only make SDHC up to 4GB working, cause this is the hareware limit and till now I wasn't able to port the driver."
Please could you make SDHC driver for 4GB for me?
Charmer WM6 Touch Flo.
Thank you.
Same question?
Need that driver or I have one card for garbage
I'm trying to make it working, but it seems that the 2005 hareware simply can't read SDHC.
I thought it would be like that.
Tnx anyway.
If you manage something that would be great cause almoust imposible to find non sdhc 4gb card.
where can I get that driver to make a 4 gb SDHC card work with my charmer?
There is no such driver. Use a non-SDHC card with 4GB instead.

any WORKING PATCH so I can use my SDHC 4gb Micro SD card to my XDA IIs WM6???

Hi.
I have an O2 XDA IIs with WM6 CE OS 5.2.1620 build 18125.0.4.2.
I purchased a Sandisk 4gb SDHC micro SD card.
I tried to install the driver that you post here but it does not work and my XDA won't read my original Micro SD card 2gb.
I tried to uninstall the sdhc.cab and my XDA can read my 2gb micro sd card but still it wont read my SDHC 4gb card.
Sir, I hope you can help me with this so I can use my 4gb sdhc card.
Thank you in advanced.
RED_HANKS™
anyone who have XDA IIs here with WM6?
does this patchers/drivers worked?
I tried it on mine in all ways but it does not work, it does not recognized my Sandisk Micro SD HC card 4GB.....
Help Me Out PLEASE!!!!
Can anyone please HELP ME?
I am begging you guys!!!
red hanks, you should be reading all of the other posts on this topic before you start begging for help.
Your best bet is to take that SDHC card back to the shop and see if they can swap it for a non-SDHC card.
There is no SDHC driver for the BA, and it is extreamly unlikely that there ever will be.
Good luck with swaping it, or finding a 4Gb SD (non -SDHC) card that works.
Sorry for this...
It is so SAD that there is no SDHC Driver for my O2 XDA IIs...
Well, I can not return the product now to the retailer store..
This is a brandnew Sandisk 4gb micro SD HC with card reader..
I think I will just sell this one...

Hi there.
I stumbled on this forum looking for something else to do with my Kaiser phone and found this thread.
I used to own several Blue Angel and over the three years or so of owning them I only ever managed to get a 2gb standard non sdhc card to work.
I remember waiting ages and ages in the hope of various updates and driver to no avail.
Your best bet is to try and get hold of a newer model HTC phone such as the TYTN or prophet. The prophet is the one phone I miss as it was almost perfect. I know its easier said than done but it sounds like you are in the same boat I was in. I used to watch tons of films and listen to music on my BA and was fed up with not being able to use SDHC or at least a 4gb card.
However, all said and done the BlueAngel ROCKs!! especially using the Bluetooth stereo profile which was why I kept mine so long.
Best wishes and good luck mate.

It will only take one of the many gurus we have on this forum to put their mind to it and we will get our SDHC working patch. Trust me, it is not impossible or improbable.
Well, all of you are right guys...anyway, can't return it anymore to the retailer store since I don't have the Proof of Purchased and it is over 7 days already...well, I guess I can just buy an electronic Item next time, like a digicam that supports SD HC so I can use this freaking Micro SD HC 4gb..hehehe
I just wonder...What does a Ba don't have and other PPC have why (BA) can't read an SD HC? Well, regarding with a driver for that how come no one can work on it, you can crack a lot of softwares but a driver for SD HC for BA is kinda impossible???huh! I don't believe so...
hi guys,
I tried to search for the standard (non-HC) transcend 4gb sd card on eBay but all the cards I found were SDHC, is there another way to find a 4 GB card that would work with the Siemens SX-66
Thanks
I also checked ebay and noticed that there are no transcend SD cards. However there are lots of 4GB cards that are not listed as being SDHC.
Is it hit and miss for what will work or not? even though the auctiongs don't list them as SDHC?
4GB non-HC SD 45x, 150x
Hello, try doing a search for 4GB SD 45x SD or 4GB 150x SD and you'll find some for around $25. Newegg.com had some about 2 months ago.
