Audio Manager and ringtone looping - Advantage X7500, MDA Ameo ROM Development

Hello Guys, this is my 1st post, been lurking here since I got my Athena(tmobile) for £350.00 2 weeks ago. Since joining i have:
1. unlocked my phone via imeicheck = Now able to keep my original 3 mobile No.
2. Upgraded rom = now on WM6, I didnt know at the time but imeicheck superCIDs the phone as well as unlocks 2 for one.
3. Gained knowledge of the best apps to use
Problems
looped a wav file perfectly on pc, but when the phone rings there is 2 sec silence before repeat
trimed audio in HTC Audio Manager/exported to ringtone folder but tones are silent (no audio)
Does having large ringtones slow down the phone are they loaded into memory?
Any ideas

sprint Touch Pro help

Hi everyone.
I just got a used TP. I am thinking about flashing a new rom, when i enter the boot loader at the very top it says security unlocked. does this mean that this phone has been previously flashed? only other phone i have ever done is my mogul.
Tony
I dont think so
I believe that they all say that, what you have to look for is the SPL version... My Touch Pro (Unlocked) shows the following information...
Security Unlocked
RAPH800 MFG
SPL-0.25.CMONEX
MicroP-Raph (LED) v0C85
MicroP-Raph (KEY) v0685
PSOC-Raph STAGE_EVT v20
Serial
I think, as stated, that the main concern you should have is the SPL since that is what you have to flash to unlock the Touch Pro.
Hope this helps.
Yep I just unlocked the SPL so now the task is to find a good rom to flash.
T.
Now if I can just find a Rom that allows me to use MP3's for text messages as well as ring tones, this is my biggest heart ache with windows mobile.

I don't know about txt messages, but the ability to use mp3 for ringtones has been around since WM5. Simply get whatever you want as a ringtone to a folder called ringtones or my ringtones. Alternatively, the HTC music player will allow you to set whatever song you are playing as a ringtone.
Yes you can use any mp3 you want for a ring tone. However WinMo makes you use .wav files for system sounds such as SMS or MMS. This irritates the hell out of me. We can make our phones work as a car alarm remote, wifi hotspot and play Xbox 360 yet I can not seem to find a way to use the same mp3s that I have for ring tones for incoming SMS and MMS.
i do believe if you make a copy of an mp3 and put it in my docs/ringtones you will be able to select it for a tone for sms/mms. but it wont quit, it will play the whole song. (iirc) and mp3 trimmer will break it up to a short tone. it has been a while since i use the stock sounds now, but i believe it works that way. i have even had short wav vids that would show up in sellection list, but would only play the sound.

[Q]Ringtones dont play all the way.

Currently running the most recent energy rom. My ringtones only play for like 2 seconds then stop, then repeats when someone is calling. I know it cant be the mp3 file itself because it fully plays in my media player. Anything I can do to fix this? Thanks.
Bump
I have the same problem with an SMS alert that is about 6 seconds long. Have tried putting the MP3 in phone memory and on storage card. Problem occurs on various ROMs (COM2, COM3 etc). Goes away for a short while after a soft reset.
Must admit, I haven't tried changing the file type to .wav or .wma to see if that helps yet.
I just solved it. I went over to "ring type" in the sound and display menu...it said "ring type: Currently set to: "Other". I changed mine to Ring and vibrate, and that fixed it.

[Q] new ROM problems

Hi - just recently flashed CR192 DESIRE HD v6.5.3.1.6 Released⁞ Build 23135 ⁞ 5th Nov 2k11. Everything works fine except two minor problems I'm wondering if anyone can help me with.
1) I'm getting no sounds with SMS messages. Settings are set correctly but on receiving a text no sounds are played.
2)On connecting my phone to play mp3s in my car, every song either stops in the middle or just ends prematurely and goes to next track. Never had a problem before this flashed ROM. Using a 32gb card.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Ok, forget about the mp3 files not playing correctly. No one has any idea how to restore SMS sounds? Come on, peeps. HELP!!

Custom ringtones not working MiRaGe-CM7.2-IHO

#define NOOB_ALERT ON
After months of dealing with out of memory issues I finally broke down and rooted/reflashed my Optimus V. Tried the Bobzhome build but kept having issues. Finally found MiRaGe-CM7.2-IHOhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1703152 and love it!
A few strange things...
a. I could only see the limited set of default ringtones so I used one of them (Simple Beep 01) for the incoming call ringer. After uploading a whole bunch of music files I tried changing the ringer to one of the MP3 files. Once I set the ringer (Settings -> Sounds -> Incoming Calls / Phone Ringtone) to an MP3 file it shows up in the list of ringers (using the default Android System file explorer). But incoming calls stubbornly continue to use the old ringer.
b. This is probably nothing to do with the specific mod...how does one shut off the Music App without using a Force Stop? I got into the car this morning and the last song that I was listening to when I stopped the car last night automatically resumed. (I have Bluetooth Audio synced). This is a nice feature but I would like to know how to turn it off.

[Q] Phone Volume Issue

Hi All,
I just newly use RAZR for 3 months. Everything is ok until few weeks ago my phone volume suddenly became very low.
During receiving phone call I can't hear anything, I have to activate phone speaker to get caller sound.
This issue not exist if I used headset.
I checked all sound setting and everything seems set normally.
Currently I used MUIU 2.9.29, from previously i used 2.7.10
I dunno if custom rom is causing this issue.
Please share if you have any resolution for this issue.
Regards,
