I have a MDA Compact 2
I would like to install MSSCHMITZ WM6 beta 2.2
Now I start the cmd and when he would copy the new rom
there stood: Der Vorgang wurde durch den Hostcomputer abgebrochen!!
I must flash about the bootloader The original version from T-Mobile
WM5 . I wanted to get WM6 in german but it dont work!
What I have to do !??!
P.S.: I have Windows Vista maybe it doesnt allowed??

there stand now
copying C:\CHARME~1\itsutils.dll to WCE:\windows\ItsUtils.dll
Could not update itsutils.dll to the current version, maybe it is inuse?
try restarting your device, or restart activesync
What I must do now???

If you read the forums, you would know the answer. Copy the cert_spcs.cab and enablerapi.cab to your Charmer. Once copied, go to file explorer. Find those two files and install them to device memory.
Run the upgrade again.

Hi, I'm trying to flash mda2 but it doesnt seem to work. Atm i got empty device when i turn it on i just have on screen USB 1.02. So can somebody explain me a way how to install windows 2003 english on that device? On that device before it was installed german version but now everything is gone. Device is from t-mobile.

And if is possible to tell me from where i could get files, because on ftp i downloaded qtekk 1.75 radio and ms nbf is fine but nk.rar is broken.
I tried to upgrade my imate jamin s200 to smart1_wm6_pp8mb. since the operation did not finished I unplugged the usb cable, therefore the machine didn't work and opening now. now some messages are appearing on the screen (IPL:2.15.0001; SPL 2.15.0001; GSM 02.19.21; OS:10.1.0.811)
i need your urgently help... How can i fix it this problem and upgrade my rom again?
Put your Jamin into bootloader mode (camera button hold+softreset with stylus), connect it via USB (not on a hub!!!!) with your PC and try to flash the last update of Qtek, Orange, iMate or something else you like! If your device booting after this correctly you can re-try the flash to WM6!
I switched yesterday many times between Qtek 2.20 Ger, Orange UK, O2 Ger nd smart1's clear WM6 and had no problems during this!

When you want to know what ROM you have flashed to your device, go to Start -> Settings -> System -> Device Information! Here you can find all information you need!
By the way: the latest Qtek update for the S200 is 2.20! You can find it trough Gooogle or the board search! Good luck!

Hi animelover,
Just a question...Do you use the OS extract tool to flash only the os without changing the IPL/SPL, or the roms that you wrote about have no IPL/SPL upgrade? I mean did you fash directly or you flashed only the extracted OS?

i have this problem.
While trying to flash Charmer_Touch_ver._2.1
i get the following error message
Could not update itsutils.dll to the current version, maybe it is in use? try restarting your device, or restart activesync.
after doing a hard reset the software is still WM5
My current version is the latest ROM from T-mobile UK site
Any advice on this please

What did i wrong?
as i understood i dont need step 3 and step 4. (this is only used, if i have NO RUU, but as i understood the new roms are RUUs ??) step3 and step4 is used, if i wanna use the old gullums pdaviet !? (as i read in an other topic)
I tried to use RUU_Prophet_220739_2207119_024721_QTEK_GER_Ship
to get an official rom on my mobilephone. but also this RUU i cannt use. every other rom except RUU_Prophet_220734_2207114_024721_NVID
i noticed, when i have this white screen (thx to the jumpspl) i have no connection and so the RUU cannot connect. but how can i use RUU, if there is no connection with my mobilephone ?? (during white screen)

ahhh, windows vista. I got the same crash of the updater app (I'm on vista also).
no problems running it from my laptop that has windows xp.
no idea with VISTA.. Google it.. Maybe some one could help you.
mhh... but i solved the problem with vista by using the OLD method
i am confused. i have the usb driver of Active Sync 4 (for win XP) and only with this new USBAS i am able to Flash the rom.
I FLASHED the rom, so it cant be win Vista, or is it because of a command in bat file?

The problem is the RUU, there isn't a Prophet RUUthat can be used with Vista. HTC didn't develloped one since they didn't release an upgrade in the "Vista age" for Prophet.
So, with the change of the drivers wich you did, you can connect at USB-level and flash the "old-style". But until someone modiefies a Vista-RUU suitable for Prophet, the "new-style" won't work.
There is a Vista-RUU circulating, but it only serves G3, it will give an error when used with a G4. you will find it here: post #14 Don't mind is doesn't show a Prophet. The modifier just didn't change the image.

Good question, but I don't have an answer. I am sure it can be done (red about it somewhere, I think in the hypercore-thread) but I don't know how.
BTW: the RUU is only the Rom Upgrade Utility, it is the nk.nbf that contains the actual Rom Upgrade, so that's the one to be converted.
Hello everybody...
I just bought an PM200 (German T-Mobile Edition), WM5 says its a PM200.
After that I installed the aku 3.3 and everything worked fine...
Then I tried to install the "Charmer_Touch_GER_Ridingshark_Beta_3.2".
But while Writing the new TouchFLOW OS ROM i got the error... "Could not update itsutils.dll to the current version, maybe it is in use?

But i realized it to late and already made a Hard Reset...
Then the Touch-Flow UI tried to install and the i got the WM error:
"The file : \windows\XDADev_BatFix.exe does not exist".
But i cant go on with the install but it doesnt matter which button i push...no one responds...
Then i downloaded the XDADEV_Batfix.cab but that dowsnt work...sure because it isnt the exe file...
Can anybody help me with tha prob?
I also treid to install the WM6 update again but i always get the itsutils.dll error...

Here is how to do it:
Flash back to WM5 using bootloader. Press camera button during reset.
If you see the screen with the 3 colours plug in the USB cable and wait till the Device is installed. Now run the T-Mobile uptade (Best is to use Akku3.3).
After it is finished connect to active sync and go to the Folder were the WM 6 upgrade is in. Now install the two cabs out of the folder where the WM6 ROM is in, on your device and make a soft reset. After that run the upgrade File. It will go same as before, but there will be no error and it will update completly.
Have a nice time with WM6

Thanks again to ChrBeck, I also used the search in this Forum to get it solved but i could find anything useful.
The only thing I had to do was to install the to cab´s (Cert_SPCS.cab and EnableRapi.cab witch are already included in the Charmer_Touch_GER_Ridingshark_Beta_3.2.rar.
The first Step was to update the WM5 Version to the aku 3.3. Then I transmitted the 2 Files with activeSync and installed them on the Charmer just with thip on each File. And the last Step was to flash the new WM6...
DONE....
Its so easy if you know what to do and with help from some users...
