How to change WM6 Boot Screen? Is there any way to change it via registry?
The starting screen is changed not in regisrty, but in the attitudes.

you need to change the registry to kill the balloon. change the following key to 0 and soft-rest.
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{8ddf46e7-56ed-4750-9e58-afc6ce486d03}]

do you mean bootsplash from wince?
or the splash screen you first see when you boot your device with red numbers at the bttom?
The bootsplash from wince can be changed afaik, but don't know how, search the forums.
The "Splash.nb" and "SubSplash.nb", cannot yet be changed on the hermes in an easy, safe way... they are included inside the NBH upgrade file and it contains a signature that will prevent you from flashing if you modify it.
No i mean the orange logo...or the htc logo...

Just installed the AKU3.3 test OS and ExtROM.
If you've modified your splash screens as well what picture are you guys (& gals) using.
I've still got my current Vodafone splash but looking to change it.
Also having read the info on the 1.01 MFG bootlader, why does it recommend saving pictures to a 24bit BMP when the screen can only display 16bit (or is it the OS only allows 16bit)?

i tried to install wm6 for my device but the install failed and i was stuck with a red, green and blue screen that displays IPL 2.28.0001 and SPL 2.28.0001.... can anyone tell me how to fix this problem?
not really a problem, just flash back your official WM5 ROM.. That rainbow screen is called the bootloader screen.. Can you see usb at the bottom of the screen
I can not find the original rom for my phone
and yes i do see the usb sign on the bottom of the phone screen
Download Wizard Love Rom then... it should enable you to boot your mobile phone again!

softSPL requires you to have a working OS...
For you to be able to flash Wizard Love, you need RUU_NoID.

If the device has RUU in the bootloader that is easy to fix:
Connect your phone to the usb
kill wcescomm.exe in taskmanager
open mtty.exe
connect throug: \.\\wces*** port
and in the white screen:
press [enter]
->now a CMD will pop up
@CMD type:
password XTC[enter]
ruurun 0[enter]
ResetDevice[enter]
The device will now reboot
If the OS is OK it will boot the OS, otherwise it will stop at either Bootloader or 3rd splash.

Hi there, bro I can find it for you, I must just know in which country you live and what operator. Like I live in South Africa and use the wwe rom from I-mate itself as original base rom, Netherlands is orange I think, so these details needs to be known as a wrong rom might render it useless. (Bricked, dead kapoot etc....)

I've tried to upgrade my S200 to the latest Touch version X. But something went wrong and after a reset, the screen freezes with the following information:
IPL 2.20.0001
SPL 2.20.0001
GSM 02.47.21
OS 10.0.0.0
"QTek, Keep the world in one"
How can I save my S200? Please help!

Relax first and it will work like this
1.press camera button and so a reset by pressing the stylus into the hole
now you should see a 3 color screen
2. conect you Prophet to you pc and note you will see a usb on the button of the screen of prophet
now run step 1 from pc

you need to downgrade to wm5 and then to update do wm6 !!! there is a wiki for this job you know ...

have you done step 1 ..
you can try PDA Viet for step 1

First go to bootloader mode and then run pda viet temp..

Hi , when i soft reset my phone the splash screen of htc is coming up but it's not writing "quality brilliant" and after that there is the orange color screen with windows logo on top , whats wrong ?
