i am using jiggs rom AKA 3.3 on XDA ATOM
but i am not able to use ICS as it always give me an error..."cannot connect for an error reason. To change your connection settings, tap settings" and this error is same for both USB and BT LAN. my EDGE connection is working as i can connect to the net on my PDA.
please tell me what to do?? or please provide me with a patch.
also can i get the same softwares included in this rom on a WM6 rom??
please help me..need it ASAP as i am not able to connect my laptop to net.

do you still want WM5 instead of WM6? ICS is fully working on WM6...
you could try to install it manually. DOWNLOAD ICS HERE
Install it on device and NOT on storage card. Thanks to Chainfire for the install cab. I'm not sure if it would be okay to overwrite the non-functioning ICS on your ROM.

i do not want to use WM5 but want the package provided in the WM5 rom of jiggs.
also i tried installing it but it gave me error saying there is some certificate conflict. so i will soon migrate to WM6.

im runng wm2003 - rom version 4.00.11, and radio 4.16.00
i want to use xda as modem for my laptop, but i dont seem to have the wmodem application and i dont want to have to go through the whole rom change process again.
can i download just the wmodem application from somewhere or is there another downloadable program ?

Actually we aleardy tried it and its doesnt work, it wont connect and if connected the only way to stop it is to soft reset the device. This is only when using WM2003.

I am using a att tilt(TyTN II=Kaiser) and i have all the settings in my Viata PC to use it for a mobile modem and it keeps telling me that WModem.exe is erring...

I did a ROM upgrade myself some time ago from 6.0pro to 6.1pro and would just re-flash and update again to recover lost or corrupted data on device but i cant even remember how the heck i did it in the first place...

I have downloaded Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition ROM Version 3.04.00 from the following site:

Its an EXE file. Do I copy it in my SD card and run it from there or Directly from Computer.
If Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition ROM Version 3.04.00 is not a good option please suggest which version will be the best.

I would suggest you use the 4.01.12 ROM since the WM2003 SE has some "little problems". I think this is the most functional (English) ROM for teh XDA.
Just download the exe file. connect your device to your PC via ActiveSync and run the exe file on your PC. Then just follow the instructions...

Well, i do suggest wm2003se...for me it is faster than wm2003, it has screen rotation, and it does not wipes out your SD-card.

I have upgraded my Rom to wm2003se (3.04.00_ENG) so far it seems to be working fine
and yes KTamas you are right it seems to be more faster than the previous version.

Am trying to load all my previous softwares but am getting the message that the software may not display properly. Do i need to download all the softwares again for WM2003.
Another Q i dont seem to find MMS Composer on this WM2003SE. Do I need to install that seperately?

You don't have to worry about this message. It says that the software MAYBE not works well in landscape mode.

Yes, you have to install it seperatelly.
After Update to WM2003SE the only problem I have is that Infra Transfer is not working.
Neither I can send or Receive any file via Infra Beam.
Tried once to Downgrade it to the orignaly installed version but still no use. it still dont work.
is there any driver or software which can resolve this issue.
please do note it does detect any phone i try to send file via infra beam. but it says FAILED.

Infrared worked for me fine. Tried it just in the moment between to XDA´s. Ohne have WM2003SE and the other one PPC2002.
Transfer worked in bothe directions without any problem....

Nomrally infrared has nothing to do with the bootlaoder, so i don't believe it. And you said, that the infrared is working and just the transfer failed....
But i've got no solution how to fix that problem...

3rd party Touch Dialer acts the same as it did in WM5,but I installed most of the WM6 HTC apps and they work fine. No PocketMSN,though. Send/receive through activesync is slow and problematic.
3rd dialer also has problem in mine. and the internet sharing also do not work,
it seems to have conflict with the activesync, the two can not work at the same time
Windows Live Messenger Won't Connect
after upgraded to WM6 Rom, my Windows Live 10.6.33.0600 (Fixed) (duttythroy) version just can't get connected....gprs,edge,wifi,activesync.....oh my GOD!!!

I am unable to install root certificate and leaf certificate on my Gene 100. Please tellme how to unlock WM6 or way to install certificate. Diplays error "The certificate was not seccessfully added. Please restart the device and try again". After restart it still does not add.

i run it and then at 2% i get the error 270
btw i dont have this 1.10 Olipro ... 4m where can i get it ..... though i did download the zip file which contains this ROM update utility and other stuff!!!

Device has no root certificates installed & I cannot add any.
As such I cannot sync with my Company Exchange server which requires SSL.

I used the booster with TCMP to play flv files. Worked fine.

Yes its work. I am using it now.
Can't record phone call with notes or audio recorder
I've upgraded to wm6 and i've tried to record the phone call but the only voice i hear is mine. In the recording i can hear the other persons voice, but it is so low that i think it's the microphone picking up the sound from the earpiece.
I never tried it to record with wm5, so i don't know if this is specific to wm6 or not.
can anyone confirm?

i buy atom pure from my friend,i have problem to revert back.this atom pure already upgrade to atom exec window mobile 6 profesional 5.2.1413 (18508.0.7.0).but have problem with phone,cant make a call os sms.now im planning to revert back to wm5 original. i already try download original rom Xda-Atom-ENG-20060426-MOT0822.exe but still cant flashing.and show "eror:connection eror"
do i need flash my bootloader 1st?then running then run Xda-Atom-ENG-20060426-MOT0822.exe ?

Try press "camera button" + "reset button" then plug your usb cable and
run your original rom.

Have you installed activesync 4.5 btw??? If yes continue to read below, if not get activesync first.
change USB cable, it may be deffective. any cable will do, motorola, canon digicam et al. then try steps below
put device in bootloader mode: camera button + reset hole
plug usb device then run original ROM.
read the wiki thats why it's there!!!!

try flashing it while its still connected via active sync and not in the bootloader mode if its still show error connection mode then it must be the rom is not compatible for ur device or there is really a problem with the connection

Would any of the ROM WM6.0 here be any faster and stable? My prioirty concern is Speed and Stability. Any advice which ROM I should try?

Get inline for PK 4.0. You can join the other addicts including myself that are eagerly awaiting the release of this ROM. Untill then I think you will find PK 3.0 to be the best thing since sliced bread for your wonderful PDA.

Hi
You should be load the original rom first then unlock your device with Olipro's unlocker then load PK 3 rom. Without unlocking the CID you can't load just any other roms. Find the rom it came with it or the updated rom from HTC.

Also read the unlocker thread before you update.

Any solution?

See here how to activesync via bluetooth .(But remember not to use bluetooth for flashing the roms)
