External Hard-drive - Touch Cruise Accessories

Hi,
I was looking at some wireless hard-drives to use when I'll receive my TC and was wondering, because of the high-price of these, is it possible to connect an external usb hard-drive to the TC with a USB-miniUSB adapter cable?
Will it be like plug-and-play?
Thanks!

It doesn't have a USB host feature unfortunanlty.

[Q] USB Memory

Is there any way to connect external USB Memory Sticks to my Blackstone? i can combine some cables to connect USB Stick to miniUSB's blackstone does it works? Do i need any drivers? Anybody tested this yet?
as far as i know, the usb port on the blackstone is only a client port. it is only for connections with host devices like a pc (and the charger of course). even though it is an htc extusb port, it is not even compatible with htc accessories, like handsfrees or video out.
you can give it a try using zeno's usb host drivers and a storage device with an active power supply (i.e. external harddisks), but i wouldn't count on it working, your best bet to extend the storage is to simply get a bigger micro sdhc card.

[Q] Micro usb support

I have seen several usb to micro usb support devices, like the experia can connect a ps2 controller using the adapter and was wondering if our device can connect and use a ps2 controller or other controller using the usb to micro usb adapter for games. also was wondering what all can connect anyone have a list? I have a square card reader also, that connects to the phone using the microphone//headset adapter, does anyone know any other devices that connect using the microphone and or headset adapter, coud we create an adapter that connects to the headset jack and then has a micro or usb attacked to the end, this could give us another usb connection port. could be very usefull if someone knows howto or had done this

Do USB 3.0 flash drives work with USB 3.0 OTG adapter?

I currently use a USB 2.0 flash drive with a USB 2.0 OTG adapter.
The transfer speeds can be a little slow.
I see there are USB 3.0 OTG adapters on eBay such as this one: http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/311139411713
If I hook a USB 3.0 flash drive to this adapter, will I be able to transfer files at USB 3.0 speeds?

From my testing 3.0 speeds were only seen from pc accessing phones internal storage. Read write of external sd didn't change and usb host mode I am 99.9% sure only supports 2.0.
Btw, I use the 3.0 otg connector just because it fits more snug, totally prefer it over 2.0 micro cable even though the pins go unused.

HDMI and USB OTG at the same time, possible?

Hi,
Has anyone managed to successfully find a solution to give an hdmi out display from the note pro 12.2, at the same time as a usb port via otg cable.
What I essentially want to do is to have the note pro at my desk connected via hdmi to a monitor, and still be able to use usb devices such as pen drives etc. Is there any kind of cable combination that will allow for this? I've not been able to find anything.
Thanks
Duncan
I have these:
Usb 3.0 Hub:

Usb OTG (with connection for external charger, a must have if you're gonna power devices via USB)

USB A to microUSB adapter, this one is for the HDMI cable:

You should try all-share-cast or screen cast(via miracast/chromecast) for video and audio. That would do everything easier.
