So i wanted to flash my cingular 8125 to windows mobile 6, so i downloaded this:

What IPL/SPL it displays now ? ,Does it get into Bootloaders ? if it still does than download and flash 'wizard_love_rom' hope it'll recover back.

It just boots into a white screen. If i hold the camera and power buttons together it boots into bootloader mode, and says USB in the bottom corner. (when i am conncected via usb) but the problem is that active sync doesnt recognize it in bootloader mode. I have tried flashing it in many different ways and i have had no success.
When i go home i will try wizard_love_rom.
and as for the IPL/SPL, i will also check that when i get home.
Where can i download the wizard_love_rom?

Glade its working again !
You got a G4 device,it cannot be CID unlocked,but however,it can be upgraded to wm6 or 6.1,read the methods 'HardSPL' or 'SoftSPL' posted as stickies in the G4 forum for upgrading to wm6 or 6.1.

I know that this may be getting a little annoying for you and im sorry for that, but i need your help on this. I am currently running the wizard love rom. And I have Hard SCP'd.
I have to problems:
1. My EDGE doesn't work, i only get GPRS speed data.
2. I can't upgrade to any new rom..... i always get "ERROR [300] Get a newer update utility!"
How can I fix both of these problems?

ok,for error (300)you can use the RUU MUNS already posted in the 'HardSPL' thread,download the RUU_MUNS application extract it to a folder and copy and paste all the files of this extracted to the folder of the Rom replacing all the RUU files in that folder or copy the nk.nbf folder in the Rom to the extracted folder of the RUU_MUNS and then run the RUU,it will start to flash and complete and hopefully fully boot up.
For edge or gprs,you'll have to get network settings of your network carrier or check out the thread from where you downloaded the rom,its uaually posted there or check out the 'Network' thread.

One of these error messages will appear when you use the wrong RUU to do the upgrade. RUU will check if the Model ID and Language ID are compatible with the device. Make sure you use the appropriate RUU tool to upgrade.

I have an Orange SPV M3100 that hangs on the Windows Mobile screen when I try to start it.
I'm able to go into bootloader mode, and i have tried using mtty142.exe with the set 14 0 command. It still won't boot. I've also tried to hard reset it.. still won't boot..
What I did was trying to unluck the SIM-lock with the Universal unlocker (HTC_Uni_Unlock_v1) from buzz. At the time I thought universal meant that it worked on all HTC devices (stupid, I know)... And I also thought it was harmless to just try and see if it worked. But I got an error around 92-93% and after that my device won't start. So my radio ROM might be screwed.
I'd like to flash my ROM with the i-mate one (JASJAM_WWE_1.20.305.3_1.20.305.104_1.07.03.10_ship.exe) and then add the ext-rom. But how do I do that when I can just access the bootloader screen? And do you think it will boot again if I'm able to flash it?

No your rom *is* screwed. You can get into bootloader, you can even get to 11% of a dopod etc rom upgrade if you try, but you will not flash a new radio.
You CAN boot the device.
Do a hard reset, but do not press spacebar to reboot after. Instead, do a soft reset. The unit should boot but as you've screwed the radio you will not get a gsm signal and the phone will say unknown sim status.
I know this as I bought one cheap after the owner had done exactly the same as you.
IMEI-check's unlock solution is the only one that works IIRC, and in some cases this re-writes the security area of the phone and repairs similar issues, but in this case I could not get the prog to read.
You need to return the device to HTC - you'll need to pay approx £35 for reflashing back to the orange rom. This is what I had to do.
Currently you cannot book the m3100 in through the web as it's too new, instead email / call them.

What happens if you just leave the phone in bootloader mode and then try to flash any ROM (imate, dopod, htc...)? run 2 times the RomUpgradeUt.exe if you get an error on the 1st try.
If you get an error while running the rom upgrade utility you can monitor the USB port while upgrading (you will see the real error from the bootloader then), there's some more info on this wiki page:

No, if you want to send it back under warranty do not try to run a rom update as there are no orange rom packages. As described in my post above, it will get to 11% and stop. The device will be in the same state as before, with the same ext rom, but the splash screen and bootloader will have changed.
i.e: it will be bloomin obvious you tried flashing it and failed. Not what you want if you try for a warranty repair....
There is no error from the bootloader - as there is no radio rom present and no security area the upgrade process just hangs.

That's true, do not try to flash any other roms if you want to use the warranty or send the device back...

As I'm the administrator of these devices in the company I work for I just grabbed a new SPV and will send this thing back to Orange. It sounded like I'm getting a new one..
Well, I think I've learnt my lession.
Oh, and I have another question. Is there a reg editor I can install on this one so I can remove the app lock? I know I can install java apps, but it's a bit grumpy about apps that needs installation (the developer must be certificated).

Sorry to take the thread a bit OT, but just wanted to confirm this again.
So, if I flashed my M3100 with a different ROM, and then had to return the phone to Orange for repair for a different reason, I can send it back to HTC just to have the ROM reflashed, and then send the phone to Orange to get the repairs done?
I've been hesitating on whether to flash the phone with a non-Orange ROM because I didn't want to give up the ability to obtain warranty repair (as there is no ROM upgrade yet). If it's just a matter of £35 and then everything else as normal, maybe it's not so bad...

I have the same problem about spv m3100. I used "universal unlock tool" to unlock my device and now it don't start,don't boot...I tried the Hermes SD Card flashing methods with qtek001 rom and, a white screen with "loading...." appears for 2 second and then nothing else appened. I think that the method is right but I need to use a different software. what do you think about?

My SPV M3100 won't start
SD card method is no good as there is no upgrade from Orange until January.

But it didn't work just came up with connection error, tried to monitor USB but nothing showed up to find out why, althouth mtty commands always do show up in USB Monitor.

I was flashing my brothers phone for him, and I was using the CID Workaround, and it completed, and then after a hard reset the device wouldnt go past the first splash screen.. pllease help
If your able to get into bootloader mode then you should be able to flash another rom such as wizard love or your providers rom.
If you read the thread on unlocking G4 cid locked using shell tool you will see what i mean. I personally was stuck in a very similar situation and received help, so the info you need might be in that thread.

i used the shell tool, but i just got stuck on the first splash after i did that.... here are device specs
Its a Cingular 8125, obivously g4
IPL 2.25.0001
SPL 2.25.0001
It doesnt get past bootloader, and I would really like to put WM6 on it.
At this point, I've tried various other ROMs and nothing is working. Any thoughts or ideas at all would be appreciated. Thanks.

Just follow this steps u will be out of it.
Press and hold the camera button and reset the phone, hold the camera button until you see the tri color screen (bootloader), when u are on tri color screen connect the USB with your phone(dont see for active sync it wont recognise but it will be connected), and then flash your phone with the rom your provider has given you i.e, the original rom and DONT flash it with shell tool use the exe file of the rom.
When you are at the original rom then try to flash the WM6 with shell tool and follow the instruction properly.

I cannot do that because the Carrier ROMs that I have aren't for G4, so they arent working. I have three different carrier ROMs for my phone.. and none of them work.

Check your email, I downloaded and zip works fine here.
i'm facing this problem right now , i will solve it with the original rom .
the problem started when i used shelltool to upgrade my G4 CID Locked to windows mobile 6 crossbow underground edition .
i will give it another try when i get my device alive again ,
any suggestions for the WM6 underground to make it work using shelltool on my wiza 200 ??

Finally i solved the problem and installed Crossbow WM6 underground edition .
all i did is to install the original rom from provider and then used shelltool to install WM6 .
i want to mention that my wiza200 is G4 and its CID Locked .

I've tried some few other wm6 roms, but always errors like "too old, get new one" or once it was probably fake, because it loaded exactly the same ROM as love one is. So, now I've probably stuck on WM5 at all

whats your device and is it G3 or G4 ?
try to do as i did and it worked for me , install the provider flash , then try shelltool to flash WM6 underground .

Mine is G4, dunno if cid is locked or not. I've flashed it as I said with wizard love rom and working without problems. I've tried that again this morning, to flash from love rom, but the same. At 96% it hangs, error 302 Communication error, then starts recovery process, phone goes to bootloader mode. Then is possible to flash it with love rom again with no problem

i have a g4 wizard using the shell tool i have chaged my rom on my phone sometimes 3 times a week just to test them out

And anyway, dunno exactly which rom for WM6 I can put in (I've just 5.underground_edition_Crossbow_ROM.exe which stucks at 96% with 302 error)

No, not really, rapi and that second cab was in device, it was restarted, but I did a mistake - i didn't copied that desired rom into updater directory - that was why were all fields N/A... did that, flashed on first try, without problem

Ok Guys, gonna test all you senior moderators / users here and put you to challenge to see if you can help me get my wizard G4 back up and running.
For the past couple of days Ive been faffng about the forums looking for a way to change my g4 WM5 to WM6, after digging in i realised i had to install vmware and put xp on it, so far so good.
After that ive tried every rom (with all their own prepackaged files) and got nowhere, every time i managed to get one that would even get to a percentage bar screen it would go to 100%, restart and nothing changed. I even tried the all new soft spl way but got some error msg saying a .exe was missing.
tonight, i managed to get a ´302´ error and its now stuck on the bootloader screen, my question is:
how can i ´flash´back to normal state from here , doesnt the pda have to be synced in order to flash it again
I hang my head in shame, i managed to mess it up real this time..

thanks for the tip, i tried it and
with soft spl:
when i ran START-sSPL.exe it opens up in cmd and the progress at the bottom doesnt go anywhere but 0.
and shell tools managed to get al the way untill you press OK, when decides to crach..every time.
again, i thought in order to flash these devices to have to have an active sync. but you cant sync things when its showing the red-green-blue bootloader screen...or am i missing something.
more tips are VERY welcome, thanks lads.

shelltool doesn`t crash it hangs only just wait for 30-40 min and unplug ur device and hard reset it will work
aslo on the bottom of bootloader screen u will find USB that means that its connected and it can sync

u can`t flash with shelltool on bootloader mode but u can flash ur official rom using RUU on bootloader
ok here is what u need to do
1- flash ur official rom or "wizard love rom " using RUU in bootloader mode "RUU works under XP only "
2-after flashing ur stock rom flash and u got up and running OS flash using shelltool "works fine under vista "

i downloaded the wizard_love rom, it got to 99% then i got the same 302 error message, theres asmallrecovery process you can go though if this is the case. i followed that and the power went off...hopefully its just the battery...

I just went through the same situation with my phone:
Cingular 8125 G4

After a failed unlock attempt/flash, I flashed back using the WizardLove rom to get it functioning, then I used the SoftSPL flash to then allow me to upgrade to Octaivoi 5.0 rom.

hey guys thanks for all the help so far.
recently ive been stuck trying to flash the wizard love rom onto my G4, but today i finally cracked it. For some random reason, the phone didnt like the original wizard love rom described in vippies tutorial ( which i looked at , at the very start, a kick ass tutorial bth), i even went out and bought a new usb cable just incase it on the off chance it was that, nope. I kept getting 2 different error messages do to with the connection. 630 i believe was one of them (which is just a general connection error msg).
but today, after searching for a while i found a customised wizard love rom on a bittorrent site that worked like a charm. so im alln gear´d up with a working pda again ! woohoo
So im back to phase one....phasetwo...get wm6 on it or probably break it again for another 3 weeks in the process.

back to the good old red green and blue screen except this time it doesnt display RUU at the top right hand side anymore...im pretty sure thats a bad thing?

lots of tinkering over the last few days has proven successful.
ive went from having a non working 9100, and trying hard to find a base rom that would flash properly to:
Finding a wizard_love rom and installing it
managing to use soft spl (which god knows why decided to work after the gizillionth time) and flashing a very respectable wm6 rom to it ( Octaivo, thanks for the tip johngalt82)
And..AND!! even getting the HTC_Touch_ Home_Plugin displaying wonderfully
happy as a pig in ****.

Hi there, I have just upgraded or should i say tried to upgrade to the new WM6 coffie ROM and the Krystal ROM but with both of these I can flash, however upon reboot it stays at the 3 colour screen
I have followed the Hard SPL guide for a G3 ---- Check

also I tried to go back to the original WM5 from the FTP site, but it fails because I have updated the SPL, I would appreciate a link to a WM5 that doesn't check and that is in english........ if that would fix the problem
One last thing - i tried to use the update tools again but it says there is no device connected so I did a hard reset and tried again but no go, after a hard reset i can flash the other roms though

Hey there, would this be the problem? I thought Jumpspl was included in the initial upgrade tools folder?
Is this the same? and also does this problem (tri color screen) happen when it hasn't been properly flashed with the hard spl?

that is good and for experience users, mine is mostly for juniors. Please read and nothing bad.
The jumpspl... 100% work, and follow the steps, never fail.
Will your method work when not booting?
Just read your method and I hope to try it soon, but will your method work if it is not booting --- the method sounds like it needs the system to boot is this correct?
I hope it will work on this system while it is not booting...... I will let you know

Can anyone please post a guide on how to flash Hard-SPL onto my HTC TYTN.
The guide for installing Hard-SPL onto the HERMES is not available anymore, and i am EXTREMELY confused about what im doing, and i am afraid i will brick my phone if i do something wrong.

It really isn't hard to do. But be sure you know what you are doing btw. SO read the sticky!
Basically you just download the flavor of Hard SPL you want (I used 2.10 which I can recommend, very easy to downgrade to factory SPL again as I just learned!).
After download unzip the folder and run the RUUWrapper. Follow instructions exactly, do nout unplug your device etc. and it should work like a charm. It takes about 1 minute!
If you don't know what you are doing or you are still doubting, wait for Mr Vanx site to come online again or don't flash. There is always a risk you screw up and end with a $500 brick.
So use at your own risk!

hi guys have tried to update mine today on a jasjam it connects sys it updating but starts at 0% then just jumps to 100% and says flash finished but when i restart the phone it still has the same loader what am i doing wrong i want to update it from windows 5 to windows 6 using crc-9 but don't want to update till i do the loader any help from you guys would be great

start the device in bootloader, what is displayed?
Mine is doing the exact same thing. Starts at 0% and jumps to 100% and says it is done, but it has done nothing.

the SPL flash is VERY quick.
I'll ask YOU this aswell, put your device into bootloader mode and tell us what it says.

thanks for your reply after checking the bootloader it has changed to 2.10 olie it did it so fast i thought it had failed will check properly next time and have successfully flashed it to crc 9 and it runs great thanks for all the help

I appreciate your reply Mr. Vanx. Same as with puca, I put my phone into the bootloader mode and it does indeed show the correct 2.10 Olipro version. This is the 3rd 8525 I have had and I could have SWORN it took much longer on the first 2. Even the update from WM5 to WM6 seemed to take much less time with this particular phone. Guess I shouldn't really complain
Downgrade Error 260
Hi Mr Vanx I have followed your guide to downgrade my current SSPL (2.10 Olipro) to SSPL (1.11). But I keep getting error 260. I have followed guide step by step.
I have even tried flashing from SD-Card (by renaming to HERMING.nbh). Process runs successfully, but nothing happens.
Its still showing SSPL-2.10 Olipro in bootloader. Am I missing anything?

can some one point me to the guide. I am facing a NO GSM problem on vodafone VPA 1605 with following config:
ROM Version: 1.20.161.6
Radio: 1.03.06.00
CID: VODAP001
Bootloader: 1.04
I do not see the radio version or the IMEI. So I would like to do a HARDSPLv7 followed by Radio ROM update to 1.06.00.10. I hope this will work. Seniors may help with their sggestion.
Can someone help me with the guide to HARDSPL as I am doing it for the first time and the guides are not available at MR Vanx site nor can I locate the sticky?

I have an I-mate 9502 but my problem is for pocket pc generaly.
I installed a program for sound, When I do a soft reset it hangs on Blue Imate page and didn't boot.
I tried to hard reset but it dosen't worked too(I know hard reset of it, is Green+FN+Power button) but it don't work, Also I tried to install a fresh Rom but it need to loud windows.
Please help how to hard reset it.

After Flashed with the new ROM, My Device is now stuck in iMate Blue Screen Logo....!!!
But Don't worry Guys...it can be solved with manually hard Reset...
1. Remove battery and reinsert (to make sure the phone is off).
2. Hold down Fn and the Green button (with the phone icon on it) and press the power button.
3. You will see the white hard reset option screen almost immediately. Press the Left Soft Key to hard reset.
Work for me...

But I know hard reset of my phone, I did it many time before, unfortunately it dosen't work this time. I tried all I knew about hard reset. but I couldn't do anything for my phone.
