I had downloded HTC_Hermes_SIM_CID_Unlock_v3a and installed AUTO_Unlock_v3a. Now iam able to use new SIM.
But after puting a new SIM withing 10 seconds USIM message is coming. Friends kindly tell me how slove it.

Unfortunatly the Softbank hermes cannot be unlocked after a certain point:

sounds like you have let the device install the ext_rom when you first turned it on, unfortunatly you cannot unlock it to use any sim card.
But you can do it with IMEI Check, you just cannot change radio version afterwards, but on newer version of X01HT it's 1.46 radio, so it's quite ok I think.

5.ExtRom i take from extracted from the orginal rom (RUU_X01HT_1.33.761.4_1.14.00.10) ----> and this is my mistake.
I test with ExtRom from JASJAM ----> it work.great!
So i just take all except IPL.nb ; SPL.nb and Radio rom ---> extract from HermesUnlocker_v3a.nbh
After that the Compile file copy to folder that u extract JASJAM rom but delete the HERMIMG_CDL_1.31.305.2_SHIP.nbh file.
5.conect your softbank.
copy SSPL-HERM.exe to your Softbank then run it(from your PDA off course)
note : If screen USIM show always just reset it,after desktop show up,in 10 sec before USIM screen,open explorer then run it.
U'll see 3 color background (i think u know it)
6.flash it.
7.Just follow the instruction,but when it ask to choice an operator region,i just cancel it.(i did'nt tried if i choice it.i think i dont need it)
After that enjoy it.
but the problem is u cant use 3G

Not sure if you still have the problem. I just got my x01ht Hermes yesterday and I worked on it today to unlock it. I used pof's (THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH) unlocker v3 but still USIM showed then later put my t-mobile sim and re-ran the unlock software but after 10 sec I still got the USIM message. I moved SB_USIM.cab to the phone and ran it before the USIM message came but nothing seemed to change. But I could then use my sim and receive calls so I flashed the PIMPING IS BACK v3 ROM by jasjammin and it now works perfectly and no more USIM. I had an old x01ht but cracked the screen so bought this one. Let me know if you need more information or have questions. Thank You,

This is a very old thread and I beg your pardon for bumping it, but I am looking for a thread which can help me solve my problem for like 15 hours now and this is the closest answer I got. My issue is similar to this, only mine is X05ht or the Touch Pro device. Similar Softbank carrier and yes similar USIM message issue.
Anyone can help me point to the right direction of solving my issue like the threadmaker solved hers/his on this thread? Please?

I upgraded a TMobile XDA1 got the main ROM upgrade then went and tried to upgrade the radio stack. As I see from the many posts a bad thing to do. But this leaves me with a broken unit. The radio was T310. I can not see how I can solve this problem. I have an SD card, I have a friends German unit with an ENG Rom and the orignal radio which I will leave alone. How can I fix mine?

GSM error on Bootload 1.50
Looks pretty much the same as my problem. By pressing the joystick after the error message, I get one step further, but no contact or upload of the ROM. I hope some wise person can supply an answer, :roll:

GSM Error
I have tried a number of solutions. None seem to work. If someone has the GSM rom and a solution to upload it let us know. I have tried coping a new radio version to the windows dir on the PPC, this fails. I have removed the back cover and battery again this does not work. The only alternative is to send it back for repair (expensive) or get a new one. I have looked at the solutions in the forum area and on the web but can not find an answer. The unit is an old TMobile (GERMAN) Xda. Upgraded the OS OK then messed up the radio. So as I say let me know if someone has a proven solution. Thanks.
How to fix GSM Error Problem ....
Download the XDA-Developers ROM Version 1.1.
Install the ROM on your Device via SD-Card and bootloader.
The phone should start up and give you the screen allignment and the whole menu!
Download an Upgrade for your device. This depends ont the model you are using. Check the sticker at the back of your device.
If it is a PW10A-Model download RSU Version 4.16.
If it is a PW10B-Model download RSU Version 6.24.20.
Extract the downloaded ZIP-File and copy all files to the /Windows directory of your device.
Copy the RSUpgrade.exe additional to the /windows/startup directory.
Make an soft reset of your device.
Maybe the upgrade will stop again at 1%, this may occur when you have an empty battery.
Place your device in the cradle. Run Active Sync on your device.
The RSU Upgrade will run in the background.
Wait for about 10 Minutes. The upgrade should complete in the background....
Afterwards all should work again...

GSM Error
Many thanks for the information. I have tried this but to sorry to say this does not work for me. I can get the RSUgrade.exe to load on the PDA, it stops at 1% and then hangs. The XDA was a TMobile GER unit with 32Mb. I have two units the same, I attempted to upgrade the radio on one and it failed at 10% rebooted and hung with GSM error. Since then I am at a loss as to the next step apart from throwing it in the bin.

Just press 'cancel' and you will get the today screen. ActiveSync icon should turn green by the way even if you are on the phone screen. Make sure the device is connected to USB port.

make sure you have bootloader 1.04 and the patched radio rom was flashed correctly. Your device must show radio version 1.13.00.00 on Settings -> System -> Device Information -> Version.
i hv the same problem, it is not a sim lock, it is a usim lock, it claims a correct usim, and it ban all function including basic pda function even u hvnt insert any sim card
ps. bootloader 1.04, radio 1.13, sim unlcoked by the unlocker, it should be a usim lock for x01ht firmware ONLY, because i tried to flash to other ver, they hvnt this problem, but i dont want to see dopod or docomo logo in a softbank phone..........

Unhide and unlock your extrom and put the cab there if your rom allows extrom-unlocking, it won't be executed after hard reset unless it is signed, but you can manually unhide the extrom again and run it.... or simply put it on your SD card

sorry but i really want to know that how to make it auto run after hard reset, i hv make it in ext rom and edited config.txt, it can be autorun but the cab file need to ask for permission (i must answer yes or no), but other cab file dont need, how to make SB_USIM.cab dont ask for permission so that it can autorun by config.txt?

this seems to work.. there's a blue icon at the bottom left screen and when I tap on it it shows version 0.0.1 and exit.. after the USIM screen closes I find that I can view the phone book on the SIM card.. I havent tried making calls yet since the SIM card only works in countries with GSM coverage (specifically Maxis Malaysia) and I'm in Japan.. but does that mean I can use this SIM card? and if I close this software (I like to use the settings>memory>running programs>close all programs at times) will the USIM screen come back on?
EDIT: the program is not listed in the running programs list.. problem solved I guess.. cheers all

nevermind that.. I just copied pim.vol and did the hard reset thing.. I'm not sure if I did anything wrong but it didnt seem to work.. I soft reset when WM wanted to install the auto update thing and I manually installed all .cab file that was in the ExtROM folder (the ones that were already in the phone) except for PT_SIMLock_Empty.cab.. but when I restarted the phone and inserted a locked SIM card, the same screen came up. Did I do something wrong?

no use, the Usim lock should in the rom, if u just soft reset when x01ht installing ext_rom, the Usim lock still here

during the upgrade it was around 15% that the upgrade utility show the error that device cannot connect.
my device is bricked now
IT is not KITL enabled
it the first splash screen it shows no gsm
it only shows the bootloader menu

i read the wiki on how to unbrick a bricked hermes but there is no sulotion

Did you also read the wiki to see how to install hardspl to protect your device BEFORE flashing ?(here: http://www.mrvanx.org/cms/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=30&Itemid=27 )? Are you using Olipro hardspl?
Try to use the SDCARD method (Format a sdcard in FAT32. Copy the nbh file on it and rename it HERMIMG.NBH. Insert the card and HR : OK/POWER/Soft reset. Follow the instructions)

Pretty much all the info on unbricking is in this table by Pof. If this doesn't sort you out then you're have to send it off to imeicheck etc for repair.

i can not upgrade my device from SD CARD (memory stick)

I hope you understand this, Basically if
1. You have a "No GSM"
2. Your CID is corrupted
3. Your OS has no KITL mode
4. You didn't use HARDSPL...
Then your phone is screwed, and you need to buy a new one or send it to repair.
Hope you have better luck with your next phone. (you seem to be collecting bricked phones!)

try to send to repair centre, if repair cost is too much. Than u have to decide try but new gadget. Kaiser looks flirt to me

The offical I-mate telstra Jasjam rom for WM6 came out recently previous to that i just kept the original WM5 rom that it came with much to the dismay of my peers, actually considered it a few times but decided against it till the official rom came out.
yeah if you follow the instructions for the WM6 rom you use it should be ok however the "Murphys law" of programming tends to suggest there will always be an error that they dont allow for.

This has NOTHING to do with only using official Roms! One has pretty much the same chance of bricking their phone evening using an official WM6 as a cooked variant from Schaps et al..
Simply put if you don't use HardSPL then you're asking for trouble no matter what the ROM. You should also use the MicroSD wherever possible as it is much more reliable.

What is the IPL and SPL?
If the wiki where up, I'd suggest looking at that, but as it is I'll explain it now...
What ROM where you attempting to upgrade to?
To get the device back, I would say "Read the wiki" but it's down!!!
Download this ROM.
In ActiveSync, disable "connect through USB" (File->Connection Settings).
Put the device into bootloader (the three coloured screen) and connect it to the computer using the USB cable.
Run the file you downloaded earlier. This should then install a new ROM.
From there, just wait for it to finish.
Now, it should work!
From there, you could re install the Orange WM5 ROM, or try upgrading to WM6. Make sure you read all the relevant guides first!

hi again brothers, pal zerocool. first u must unlock ur device to be able to accept any rom after that and solve pproblems.
first flash this rom its offecial and it solve dead prophet problems.
then make hard spl by program open file called hardspl.bat.
make hard reset.
flash ur rom u want.
make hard reset again.
then enjoy.
i uploaded the hardspl program but i couldnt upload the rom its so big so u can look in ur mail u will find the solution.
u can extract file by any program for zip.and tell me the news

Hi guys,
I have been using a sh... Nokia sine I broke my prophet G4 in december by upgrading the OS.
I had downgraded first to NVID and then I tried to upgrade and it fails at 95%.
Sine this day, my prophet seem totally dead, no light when plug on both charger or computer, windows do not recognize at all the device because it is turned off. And it really do not seem to charge...
I am living in China now and a guy told me I had to change the PB board...The ost is 100Euros, but I am almost sure I an find another solution...
The weird thing is I cannot charge it at all ( I mean no lights but does it charge a little?).
The guy tested my prophet with another battery and in that ase, it is stuck on the bootloader.
We tried several roms and it always fails at 95% and the error is 200 something, maybe 245 or 243, I do not remember sorry...
Is my phone hardware is dead? or it is just a software problem and I did not see the right guy?
Do I need to buy a new battery? I have read that sometimes the device is not able to recognize it even if it the offiial one and even if it is working on another device...
PLease help me I don't want to loose this phone that I've been using for almost 3 years...
Otherwise I will switch to an iphone but I am not sure to be as happy than I was with my prophet.

Can it enter bootloader at all?
If yes, what are the IPL and SPL?
If not, it will be a hardware problem (may just be connectors to the battery but may be something more).
the only way of recovery is using jtag
but 1st we must discover the location of jtag pins on motherboard
I just do not know because with my actual battery, anything is possible....
when I tried with the guy and a new battery it was blocked on the bootloader, but don't remember the IPL and SPL...sorry
I may be right about the battery onnectors though, but the problems seem to be from the phone connectors or the battery it self???

If it can enter bootloader, it is almost certainly your battery at fault!
Ok so i burnt my battery during the upgrade...
But why is it still blocking at 95% when he tried to put a rom?
With his battery, it was stuck on the bootloader and not possible to install a rom, even a NVID WM5...
I really do not know what to do...

My iMate JAMin is dead; I was in the middle of flashing it when it froze, now when I turn it on, I get the Tri-color screen with the following ...

SPL: 2.13.0001
No [BUSB[/B] is detected. So now I need a way to flash it from the SD Card. I can not even see the HTC startup screen anymore, it just jumps directly into the tri-color screen.

Do you know which ROM? Is your device branded, and is it SIM locked?
Do you know the IPL/SPL? Did they end with the same numbers?

now i flashed the official rom of jamin but it stopped at 80%
hello every1, i am not very much into winmobile, i am symbian freak for a very long time.
in symbian there is no possibility to flash bricket device at home, ant that is spwcialy what i like at winmobile
i have htc cingular 8525 and it was running wm5.
rgbw string:
HERM100
IPL-1.04
HREM100
SPL-2.10.Olipro
and iv tryed to upgrade it to wm6. it stoped on 11% at image writing on ROM, and give me error 262. i remove battery, wait, plug back.... and it started to write again. and stoped on 11% again.
so iv changed pc(go to my friend), and same thing again.
iv even changed cable(from nokia 6120c hehehehe) nothing works
my ROM is deleted and i only have RGBW screen(bootloader)
is there any possibility to boot my device? form mmc???? anything? i am runing activesync 4.5.0
iv readed a lot of tuts, but ne1 helped me.
i hope that someone solved this problem.

It sounds like your radio has been stuffed... This is BAD...
First, try to flash a stock carrier rom(preferably your original carrier rom) and see if it goes past the 10-15% mark. If not you can try to flash a Radio only rom.
The best way, since it reset into bootloader anyway & (good onya) you have Hard SPL installed, is to use the sd card method.
1. Format sd card fat32.
2. Copy the .nbh file of the os/radio rom you want load Hermes onto sd card and rename to "Hermimg.nbh".
3. Put sd card in Hermes and reset. Follow prompts...
Make sure you have a charged battery as it is pretty battery draining (especially multiple flashes).
If you can't get the radio rom on, you can AT LEAST install a new OS only rom. It will be a good PDA BUT won't work as a phone anymore...

i was testing it wht plug-unplug usb, and it allways show me if it is serial or usb.... that means that system is functioning.
i try to bootup wht mmc fat, and it didnt work
tell me what files do i need to transfer to mmc? do i need to change name of RUU.....exe to stg else or just nbh thing?
and in what location on mmc should i save it? or just in mmc:\ (root)
and can i hack my radiorom after i setup system? or i need to do that before?

btw i am poweruser of symbian, and i am proud owner of smallest s60v3 device (6120).
i found on it samsungs processor.... and i belive that it is similar as windows mobile. and we have a lot of troubles wht rom upgrading... is there any possibility to include you guys in symbian ROM moding? it would be gr8 bcs i didnt cee much skilled developers for windows XP in symbian freak community
btw some guy just told me that he has some java application which enabling write on ROM and if he say truth he will share it wht me.
he is pc/phone servicer, and he is really good as far as i know.
if this thing exists, is there any possibility to extract RUU from exe to pc and i would copy/paste every single file(wht some changes) as i want to do to my nokia hehehehehehehe

On the screen it should say what IPL and SPL you have, What are they?

As for running windows on a symbian phone, I don't really know but I'd think that it wouldn't work as the symbian os may have hard wired drivers in the device. You'd have to ask some-one else in the know....

btw i didnt think abt runing winmob on symbian device, i was thinking of making RUU for symbian.
while RUU is rar file, we could make one for symbian, and bricket phones wouldnt be needed to send to service. btw we could then deit rom and remove platsecurity and make symbiansigned useless. then wount be any need for ROMpatching...(it pach ram actualy) all we need is drivers for symbian device and that we dont have

As I said on the 2nd post, Your radio rom may be stuffed. This could mean its an unfixable brick. You can use the PDA functions BUT you may not be able to restore the Phone functions.
Using the sd card method though, you can try to install a radio only rom (this only tries to install the radio, the OS you have on there will remain the same so even if the radio rom install is unsuccessful you can still use the PDA functions).
You should also try to install a carrier stock rom (rom supplied by your original carrier) as this , on rare occasions, has restored the radio rom.

i will try to run radioROM.cab from mmc. seems like stg is wron wht my usb cable. it cant get synced wht pc....?
i will veawe its hardware and check "all" tngs from usb to rom and to flash, at least till crystalls

You have bricked hardware radio - flashing radio rom wouldn't work. Send it to good service and probably they will repair it.
hmmm, i would sen it right now, but there is no service around...., and i am better in hardware and software more than 75% local servicists....ill gess tht ill figure stg

why memory card is displayed in "device:\" as folder? as far as i know it is a disk(fat32) and why i have extended_ROM and option to remove it?
why i cand access to orginal ROM drive? and why winm0b is playing wht virtual drives?

It is not clear if you fixed your phone.
It does not sound like you have followed ultramag69 instructions very well. Probably because Englsih is not your first tongue and you have little knowledge of PPC.
You need to download a Radio ROM here:

A few points that you need to understand. Resco can not edit ROM files. Your Hermes does not use a MMC card it uses MicroSD. If you are connected to ActiveSync then your Storage Card shows up as a folder; that's just the way it is!
