after the upgrade to german wm6 i got 2 problems
a) 4 GB storage card is not detected
b) if i want to synchronize some calendar data i got the message: storage full on the device. i have not installed or copied any data to the device after upgrade

a second hard resett fixed the problem with the snyc aif the appointments.
but still my 4 GB storage card is not shown in explorer.

Is it a SDHC Card. If so, it will not work. This is cause of old drivers. And also some normal cards over 2 GB are not recognized.

I've recently acquired at AT&T Branded SX56, been moderately happy, but can not complain about the price ($100 . However, twice now I've had the SD card get completely wiped. This is the SD card that came with the phone - it used to have some nice games and the MS software pack. It went bye-bye about two weeks ago. I thought it was a glitch, however, last night the card went blank on me again. All software, data, etc on the card is completely gone.
My question are: has anyone had this problem? Is this a known thing with the phone? Do I have a virus? Am I a blithering idiot that did something stupid (likely)? How do I keep this from happening again?

my phone is wm2003, I guess I have to go get an SD card with a lock on it. The one that came with the phone does not. Any way to do a software "r/o" mode?

Nothing 100% confirmed but TMO 4.01.00 or AT&T 30.09 are said to be more stable
i have a similar proble; the unit didn't recognize the card once it was removed.
Does anyone have the files and can post so i can write on the sd?

The same thing happened to me last week on my T-Mo MDA2 (Rom Version: 1.60.00WWE, ROM date: 12/03/03) but in my case I'm using a 128MB MMC with no hardware lock.
Any suggestions aside of using a lock enabled SD Card? (which I think it's dumb since I need to be constantly writing to the card)... :roll:

I used Kingston 512M SD card with ca. 200 M of MP3 files.
After removing of PocketMusic from MDA these files become invisible in Explorer as from desktop as and from mobile, despite new MP3s added to this card, were assigned to Windows Media.
Then I used SoftWinter StorageTools to format SD as FAT32/512Kps. Since formatting SD works well and I haven't any file lost.
May be this problem appears due to adding or removing some programs, associated with such files?
The weird thing is that some people report missing the files in the card but they know the files are still there because the memory space they used to take is still there, and others (my case) the card got totally wiped releasing all the memory space just as if it was just formated. :shock:
The only thing I can think of, in my case is that since the card was formated by a Palm Tungsten T2 (I could tell that because a friend lend it to me and he has a Palm and also I could see some Palm directories in the card) and I didn't formated before I used it on my MDA2. Do you think this may have caused the problem?

To solve this annoying problem do either(or both ) of the foillowing
1) Change the today theme to windows default (hard to believe i know but it works)
2) Using Storage Tools format the SD card to fat 32, with Backup Fat option ENABLED (you can change the theme back if you want after this)

The same happened to a friend of mine.
I suggest you to try Pocket Mechanic from http://www.antontomov.com, with this software you can format, verify and repair your storage cards. We did this and the card worked successfully after a Low Level Format and then a Logical Format.

Hi i recently updated the roms through O2 site everything is fine just i cant seem to install programs ie tomtom or any other cab files???!! can anyone help me. All it does is shows the installation screen with the spinning redblueyellowgreen box and thats it. Im confused why its not doing anything.

its the memory card. Just brought it from ebay 4gb unbranded. I used a old 512mb card and its fine with that. Its when you activate programs on the card it stops and starts. I already formated the card with windows fat32 that didnt work and the panasonic formatting program. It did work for abit but not anymore. Please help

Not sure, but you can try research on the highest capacity a Wizard can take. And, take note of possible scam on high cap unbranded memory cards. E.g. try copying full 4GB contents into the card, just to make sure it is now a scam card.
ok copied up to 3.88 gb of mp3s so its pretty much a 4gb. I stuck the mini sd into a old pda Acer N30 (adapted) and it seems to work fine. Seems like the card is the problem as i have no problems using my old 512mb mini sd. Apparently its a samsung card. Im really stumped.

i had these problems
1- the memory storeage card doesnt work the folders appears empty when i remove it and put it in again it works but not for long
2- the bluetooth and wifi dont work when i press on there icons in connection manger i have to try may be 10 times to make it work
where is the problem and how to solve it???

I have the same problems with WIFI and if I take out SD card I have no problem so it's the sd card thats not compadible with your prophet

My one works too one pc only problem is wifi sometimes
whats the size of the sd? and is it SDHC <--- is not compadible with prophet yet
my sd size is 1 giga
it was working on wm5
but when i upgraded to wm6 it doesnt work any more

then it must be the rom's sd driver thats causing the problem it might help to flash an other rom
sd card .......
it's like my problem with tnt4 , gullum 5
as i told u gullum ,do u remmeber ?
all roms has the same problem except these roms
1- padv 06
2- k0ster
3- TrueNeytral_1.4
plz gullum take a look to these roms and find the solution before u release v6
and drmeemo try one of these roms that i point to it above
i'm a tester of v6, i've done after reading this tread a test with my 4 SD card
128mb (old one)
512mb
1gb
and 2gb (microsd with adapter)
all of them works without problem...

I had the same problem too with fantastic b4. I could not enable wifi and bluetooth when the prophet is turned on a while. So the problem is the rom. I think it's a bug.

i have dopod 830 pocket pc. after i upgrade my mobile to wm 6.1 it says used memory 970. ...MB free memory 0.00MB but it is possible to read storage card after i downgrade to wm 5.0. or while using official built rom (wm 6.1) by korand. please help!!!

I have identical problem with my Dopod 830 with Claudyfa's Wm6.1 rom, there's no such issue on Korand wwe 3.1 rom. you can find my problem here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2251229#post2251229 and here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2202667#post2202667. but seems there's no fix yet.

yeah i tried using different wm6.1 roms by claudyfa, gullum(Throttle 6.1),Maxniper(Prophet wm7 Styled II (UC), Varanusvincent(My Buble Blue Edition{Build 19213.01})m,Bikertibi (My Little Green wm6.1
) including few other roms....but same storage card problem.
i tried using these ROMs in my friend's PPC(Dopod 830)...again same problem....i don't know what to do.

yeah...after i flashed wm6.1 rom i got storage card problem so i went back to the place where i bought memory card and asked him to change the card. he tried different storage card but got the same problem...it is possible to read storage card using storage card readerin the computer...today also i flashed few wm 6.1 roms...nothing works...
is there any solution, please?
one good news is recent dioxda2's WM6.1_19214_1.0.4.PNT WWE works without any problem.
problem with sd card
I am new to this site and I have a question. I have a htc touch and lastnight all of a sudden my sd card doesnt show its there when I put it in my phone. I tried a different sd card and it works but I had alot of info on my original card.I put the card in a reader in my pc and it shows up but when I put it in my phone all of a sudden it doesnt register. But like I said earlier I tried a new card and its fine. Any idea why that card wont read in my phone all of a sudden when Ive had it in there all along??? Any help is much appreciated!!

Dear all,
I have come across a problem and unable to resolve it. I did upgrade my wizard from WM5 (official ROM) to GM ROM. ROM is working perfectly fine but there was a precaution i read on forum not to place MiniSD card while upgrade and unfortunately i forgot doing that. After flashing my new ROM now whenever i access my card it had some data of about 490MB in it prior upgrading ROM which i am unable to delete, i have tried formatting it with my Wizard (with Pocket Mechanic, Resco File Explorer even with builtin format flash function of ROM) it formats successfully but data that was previously saved on it remains there and i am unable to copy anything on it whenever i copy/delete anything it comes back to its previous state.
Can anybody please guide me how to get rid of this situation, with Pocket Mechanic Scandisk software I was unable to fix the clusters because it end up with an error "FAT tables doesn't match"

thanks for your response, yes i did but it is unable to format it. Sometime if it does the data remains in the MiniSd card and by DOS it says track - 0 bad disk not usable.
