Car with Bluetooth - Touch HD Accessories

My car (Peugeot 307CC) has built-in Bluetooth, and it works pretty good with the Touch HD.
My previous phone was the original Touch and besides the phonebook it also gave the option of seeing the recent calls (outgoing/incoming) with the HD I only get the phonebook.
It doesn't bother me very much but that call list was handy for not having to scroll through my whole phonebook.
Did I miss a parameter (that was not on the original Touch) somewhere?

a little update ...
strange, this morning I suddenly had the "Call List" and it worked, ... for 1 call, after that again only the phone book was available

I have something similar too, using a FISCON unit in my Touareg where the Provider network name is not being exchanged, however the signal strength is. After taking a call, all of a sudden the network name is visible on the headunit.
Looks to me like some software issue, as when looking into the BT profiles all actually are there to allow exchange of network names and such.

Did a hard reset last week and now again I only have the phonebook.
I'm not even looking at the battery meter/network provider/signal strength because those are very irregular (but that was the case with my old original Touch too)
I can have all three, some or none and then after a call it changes again but they're not so important, only having the phonebook does make things more difficult (plus that it worked with the original Touch makes it even more painful)

I can confirm your problem with my Audi
sometimes it works,
sometimes not,
sometimes I can see all contacts,
sometimes not,
sometimes I can see the calls,
sometimes not,
the last two days it was working fine
some days before also the bluetooth connection drops
AND I have had none of these problems with orbitĀ²

I have the Pioneer DEH-P800BT head unit and I don't get any of the problems mentioned above. The problem that I do get from time to time is that the call answer button on the head unit doesn't work, so I have to press the answer button on the phone, then it continues to work as it should, hands free through the stereo.

No problems with my Sony MEX BT 2500 head unit
I can receive and make calls, and do A2DP streaming as well.
This head unit has no call list/contact features.

no problems with my carkit. Phone book works fine. I have an Opel Zafira
The only problem I have is the bluetooth connection. It droppes after a while. Saterday i flashed to dutty's Rom. For so far i can see it, the problem is solved.
Grz

Found it, apparently the car can't handle too many items in the last calls list, I had a lot more than 100 items in that recent call list, when I erased them and had a few calls the list came back, so I'll be having a look for when it disappears again and then clean out the list again ...
So nothing wrong with the phone's Bluetooth, the car just can't handle it

WM6 problems so far

Hi everyone! I've read these forums for a long time but haven't posted much before. It was doing my research here that led me to buying my Prophet. It couldn't have been a better decision, so thank you! I owe you guys one.
So... I thought it might be helpful to list the issues people have been having with their WM6 builds so far, since right now the problems seem to be spread through other threads. I flashed the PDAViet 4.0.0.0.3 two days ago, and although it runs pretty well, I've run into a couple of problems that other people have seen too:
1. Wifi works only sometimes. I'm really not sure what causes it, but it will always work properly again after a soft reset. It doesn't seem to matter how long my Prophet is turned on - I soft reset last night, put my phone down, and tried the wifi again this morning, and it worked fine. I'm guessing that it might be some other program or system process that's interfering with the wifi/wlan.
2. MMS/SMS. Since I don't use MMS, I can't speak for myself, but I've read other people are having trouble getting their MMS to work properly. I've also read that a small minority of people are having trouble with their SMS. Can anyone confirm/deny this?
3. Missed calls. People have posted that their phones sometimes just won't ring, and they get missed calls. Some say that this can be fixed by downgrading to the 2.19 radio ROM. Has anyone tried this, and did it work?
4. Bluetooth. I haven't had any bluetooth problems, and the bluetooth keyboard I installed works great. However, I've read that other people have been having some problems. Anyone care to comment?
5. Battery troubles. People have said different things about whether or not their WM6 ROMs use more power than WM5; I'm not sure that it actually makes much of a difference. One thing I did notice, though: my Prophet will charge fine when attached to my PC's USB port, but not when plugged into the wall! The yellow light comes on, and it looks like it's charging, but the battery continues to drain. This is easily one of the weirdest problems I've had.
If you have other problems/errors using any WM6 ROM (not just PDAViet), please add on to the list! Say what the problem is and what ROM you're using. Also, if anyone knows fixes for any of the problems, add them here too!
TrueNeytral 1.4 MS BT.
Very few issues. No problems with Missed calls, MMS, BT or battery (10% per day with 2 calls each day). Wifi varies a bit - but no real problem.
Once I mistakenly pressed the flight-mode icon, then turned the phone back on - I didn't recieve SMS for two days, until I re-booted. Strange...
7. Sporadically missing email, wifi and bluetooth settings after soft-reset, even if we turn off the phone everytime a change is made.
Occasional missed calls; seems like they just go right to voice mail sometimes.
Battery life fair with Radio 1.40; it may be a little better with 1.38, hard to tell; definitely better life by turning off 3G
Some minor incompatibilities with BatteryPack Pro, mostly visual things, nothing functional so far
In Windows Live, when checking email if I close an email message Windows Live closes and sends me back to the Today Screen; if I 'reply' to an email, then 'cancel message', it will send me back to the email list, not close the program and return me to the Today page. This bug disappeared for a while and the email functioned properly until I flashed a new radio ROM(1.40), then bug returned

Yeah, me too. I didn't see it happen with my email, and I don't use the bluetooth too much, but it seems like the settings for my home router would mysteriously disappear whenever I soft reset, and I'd have to put in my password again.

I have the same problem. What I've seen: I only loose mails, internet settings, Windows Live Messenger settings, if I use soft reset harware button. Try to use an software program that allow you to soft reset device like XCPUScalar which put in system tray an icon for that function.
If you find something else to remedy that problem please anounce me

Don't forget the password issue.
An important feature for business users - I guess.

Help with Bluetooth: Keeps Un/Connecting

My 3VO has three devices assigned to it, but only one is ever active. I used to be able to use one bluetooth device, then when it runs down, switch, all while not disrupting the call. Now if I switch devices, the call is still active, the switch happens, but I cannot communicate (no voice or sound). To make matters worse, in my X5 I'm having connectivity issues. I would be connected to the car, then every 3 mins it would unconnect and reconnect seconds later. I even went as far as removing the X5 from my list, and still the problem persists.
I will confirm that I have all devices charged, very near the proximity of the phone, and have not DLed any software that would cause an issue.
As I said before, I used to be able to switch devices and not lose the call, now something has changed. I can be on a call and activate a bluetooth device and have it transfer to the bluetooth, no problem, but if I am on the bluetooth, I have to drop the call, switch, then call back.

[Q] Problems with Bluetooth car connection

I just switched to a Galaxy S3 from an Desire HD. Overall I'm not very happy.
One issue that is turning into a deal breaker is the BT connection with the car. I have been unable to make the S3 connect automatically with my Nissan Connect and it is a laborious process to establish a full phone and media connection.
This is what happens,
The pairing process goes well I get a a full media and phone connection. After about 30 secs the connection is dropped.
I reestablish the connection manually and I only get media audio no phone. I cancel the connection manually and reestablish the connection and there I get both media and phone audio.
If I turn off the car and turn it on again I have to go through the whole manual connection sequence again, without the pairing.
I have installed A2DP Volume app but it did not fix the problem.
This is very frustrating since my Desire HD worked flawlessly when connecting to the car.
Anyone have any tips or experiencing similar problems?
this exactly happens to me as well. i was on the stock XALE8, but upgraded to ALF5 and nothing new. this is frustrating because it happens to my car, and multiple bluetooth headsets.
Bluetooth working fine for me and my Fiat

Right I might know the answer to this as I had the same problem as few weeks ago.
If you have Facebook, twitter, whatsapp or anything like this best thing is to get rid of them if you don't want to, go to your accounts and sync on your phone and untick the sync with contacts on any of the apps you have installed.
Then go to call log and clear your call history.
Delete the bluetooth pairing turn the phone off and back on, repair with the car, mine has worked perfectly since I did this.

So from what you describe the problem lies in the syncing of the phone contacts with the car contacts. Maybe since it also tries to sync the FB contacts there is something in the format there that it does not recognize and it gets hung up.
Will need to try different sync configurations to see what happens.

I've got the same problem with my S3 not syncing with my car kit. The bluetooth is all paired but the car still says no phone. Tried unpairing and just about everything else with no luck at all. Any other thoughts please?
Mine works fine with the Toyota Touch & Go thingy. I only sync contacts from my Google account to the phone though, I don't bother with the ones from FB, etc

Hi there. Following up on this thread, I've had a similar issue with the miss's Galaxy S3 mini (android 4.1) and the Nissan Connect System on her Juke. It also happened with a HTC Status (ChaCha, android 2.3), so I can't narrow it down to a particular Android version or phone manufacturer. What happened was, both devices paired well with Nissan Connect, but after a short while, the system crashed completely (the cars, not the phone) :s. It would restart automatically, but just to crash again after re-pairing. With older devices, this issue never occurred.
After reading Motogp1s answer, I decided to give it a shot. Unpaired all devices, cleared the system on the nissan. On the S3 mini cleared the call history, and disabled all contact sync from facebook, google, etc. Re-paired the device, disabling the multimedia functions (she just wants the phone features) on the paired device settings (NISSAN CONNECT on the S3). Refused to give permission tho the car to retrieve call and contact information. At this point, the bluetooth connection would work without a glitch, never had a crash or problem again.
Like RaulTT said, the problem seems to be in the amount of information Android devices keep on their contact list (and can also be related to the amount of contacts, or the multimedia features in the case of Android 4). But given the sweetness of having your contacts also on the car, I think the best approach is to keep a short list of your most important contacts on the SIM card, and try to sync only that list. If you must go with the phone's list, you should indeed disable all contact sync from 3rd apps, plus limit the size of your contact list, and also be aware for special characters on the contacts names (in case of latin languages, p.e).
Thanks for the help.

Amazfit Stratos interfering with car hands-free and other phone related problems

I am using Stratos for about 6 months now. At first I thought everything was fine but after some time I discovered that it interferes somehow with my car's bluetooth hands-free installation from first day I had it. The watch is connected with phone and my phone is connected to my car's stereo via bluetooth. If the watch is not present in the car everything works fine but if I have my watch on, I have a lot of problems talking. A call (incoming or outgoing) usually starts normally but after a few seconds in call I suddenly can not hear the other person but they say that they hear me all the time. Then after about 5-10 seconds it is OK again and we can talk but then this problem randomly occures during the call again and again... So in a single 3 minute phone call it happens at least 3-4 times that for some short time I can not hear the other person but they hear me all the time. At first I thought that there is problem with my old phone (MI 6), bluetooth, mobile reception, old car stereo (it is 8 years old) but later I found out that this is happening only when I am wearing Stratos when I am driving and it has been happening every since I have my Stratos and I am almost positive that it has nothing to do with ROM and app updates.
The other problem I am facing is that all incoming calls are displayed as "Unknown" caller ID on my watch. It worked fine at first - it didn't output the caller name every time which I read has something to do with the format of numbers that are stored in my contact list so I was fine with that but I am still not convinced that was the case because for the same incoming caller it sometimes displayed their name but sometimes only their phone number. But now for the last month or so all incoming calls are displayed as "Unknown" even though I didn't change anything.
I tried just about everything - rebooting phone, rebooting watch, unpairing, factory resetting watch etc.
My Amazfit app is 3.3.0, my Stratos ROM is 2.3.10.5 - both should be up to date. All permissions are granted to Amazfit app (camera, contacts, location, microphone, phone, storage), contact sharing is granted in bluetooth connection with Stratos.. but I am still having the issues with caller ID display and especially making phone calls in car is very frustrating - you just can not talk with somebody if you can not hear him for 20% of the time.
Any help would be appreciated
Try disabling WiFi while in the car, it might help. If not, some phones have problems with multiple BT connections (ROM bugs), a simple workaround would be enabling airplane mode on watch while driving.
For the second part, the number in your contacts list must match exactly the number user by your cell phone's carrier, sometimes even the use of spaces or dashes cause problems. If it is correct, for some users it only worked after adding the Contacts/Favorites app to the notifications list in Amazfit app.

Question Sony Xperia 1 III network problem, and mobile data problem. Android 12, Build number 61.1.A.9.128

Hello everyone,
Sony Xperia 1 III (QX-BC52)
I found two problems or bugs:
1. PROBLEM WITH MOBILE DATA:
This problem does not occur on the wifi network, but only when the phone uses mobile data. I will also send you a couple of different videos that I recorded with the screen record application so you can see exactly how the problem occurs.
First, for about ten days, I noticed that the icon from 4g was disappearing from time to time, and then I tried for days to find the problem and to see when and why it disappears at times and somehow I succeeded in that. This problem is present in all applications when a video is played and the sound is turned up to maximum, as soon as the sound is reduced to about half of the icons with mobile data (4g) do not disappear and the mobile data transfer works normally without interruption, or only press pause for fix this bug.
I will upload one or two videos in link bellow with situation when I show this bugs:
https://www.reddit.com/r/SonyXperia/comments/vyc7r3
I will share list with all the applications in which this problem occurs that I have personally tested:
- Viber during video calls (occasionally)
- YouTube (every time)
- Facebook (every time)
- Instagram (every time)
In addition to this problem, I noticed that when downloading applications on the 4g network, sometimes the applications are downloaded quite slowly if we keep in mind that the phone downloads them on the 4g network. Sometimes it takes a few seconds to download a 20mb application and sometimes ten seconds, in both situations the signal is full.
2. PROBLEM WITH MOBILE NETWORK:
It also occurs frequently in areas where the phone mainly uses the 2G network, then the connection is often interrupted during the conversation, and therefore also during that period the phone cannot establish a connection, it throws out the message that there is no network even though the area is covered by the network.
I am noticing the same problem, so looks like its a problem with this update. Nothing to do with a particular region or carrier it seems.

My Sony Xperia 1 III is a model for the European market, and a friend has the same phone, but his model is for the Asian market. Both mine and his phone have the same android version and the same software version and he has the same problem, so it doesn't matter what market the phone is made. I tried with another operator's sim card, but the problem is still there. The problem is obviously in the software.
Yea i notice that too. i thought my sim card was bad. f###K after i just made the decision to say on a12..
My XQ-BC62 does it too. When there's loud midrange, LTE drops and the cell indicator flickers. Logcat is so junked up during playback that I don't even know what to look for.
If I output a square wave 22Khz sound, the audio power scales up and down and cellular cycles on and off. It seems like part of the phone is out of power and it's not managed well.
This is an incredibly stupid fault but good to know about. The last thing this phone needs is even more cellular drops.
Im having a problem right now, not entirely sure what exact market my Xperia 1/iii (XQ-BC72) is from, i think Oceanic? As i live in New Zealand but at the moment and for the last week and a half or so i havent been able to make calls and texts either fail a few times then send or take forever to send, its really annoying me cos i also have to use my phone for work, and when i cant make or receive calls most the time it sucks! Aswell as it will say "Calling" when i have Signal Bars, but wont make dail sound/go through or it'll just fail!
