Is there anything needed for the community? - Touch Pro, Fuze ROM Development

I just exchanged my Fuze for a new one due to some mechanical issues with the model I first had. I now have a clean, new Fuze. Is there anything from here that would be helpful for the community that I could extract and upload? I have no idea, which is why I'm asking. Just wanna give back a bit, many of you guys have been very helpful.
Meantime, can someone please tell me where I can find an app that does unit conversions? Weight, volume, distance, etc.? Thank you guys!

Clearly I'm not the only one who finds this whole tale of yours a bit much to swallow. In some jurisdictions, what you are asking for is illegal, so I can't imagine anyone risking xda-dev over a song and dance about wanting an application for an unspecified class which is "a bit long story to tell".
As has been posted, the instructions for doing what you want are all over and if this is for a "class" then try doing your own homework - but I don't personally believe that story for a minute.

forget it. thanks guys. i got it.

[Q] using phone for fax modem

is there any way to use your htc for a modem to send faxes? or is there an app? anything would help please!!
Thanks
I know that many phones had this functionality in the past, but I think that the platform that axed, but I will dig in and see what I can find that might help you. Can you give us more explanation about what you intend to do and maybe we can have more opinion about what you can and cant do?
Dear Megabiteg,
Can you remember how long it has been since mobile phones had fax functionality, and which models or brands has fax functionality?
Thanks,
Harry.

[Q] Rooting question from an *almost* total noob.

Hi folks.
I came on this forum a while back to get my Bell Galaxy Note 717 returned to its former operating condition after Samsung buggered it up by putting ICS on it. I received a load of help and encouragement from some GREAT folks (who are a heck of a lot cleverer than me) and got my lovely phone back to where it was. Now, in those immortal words, "I'm back!"
At the end of the previous discussion, a couple suggested that — now I'd lost my phone-flashing virginity — I might want to try some custom ROMs and stuff like that. Whilst I very much appreciate their enthusiasm, I'm afraid that I really am just one small degree ahead of absolute noob and therefore I don't want to delve too deep into this stuff. However! I am quite interested in rooting the phone so that I can install and use Titanium Backup. So this is what I'm hunting for, please and thank you:
A copy of the ClockworkMod thing so that I can do the root.
The actual root file itself so I can install it with Odin (I believe it's called 'superuser' or something).
Any help you good folks would be willing to offer.
Just a small point, if I may; I DEFINITELY DO NOT WANT ICS or another newer Android version. I'm very happy with Gingerbread and I'm staying with it. Stat. I respectfully request that you don't try to convince me otherwise, unless you want me to believe that you're a twit. You will doubtless, in return, call me a Luddite and I will not disagree. Card-carrying, fee-paying, life-membership Luddite!!
Anyway, there we go, that's it for now. I'm looking forward to all the flashing and rooting and stuff! Yeah! Thanks in anticipation of your kind replies.
Cheers,
Sandy B.

Thank you so much for your help, I appreciate that. Not sure I can find the appropriate files there, but I grabbed a couple and I'll figure it out later (hopefully with some more help from the awesome folks here).
Cheers,
Sandy.

Thanks! I really appreciate your willingness to help. Could definitely happen, because I'm always uncertain of stuff like this. I'm, honestly, not that great with computers and similar technical bananas.

[Q] modem flash For Samsung Galaxy S2 HD (svh e120s)

Hello Guys
I have no signal in my phone svh e120s, sometimes i got a network sms saying that i got missed calls, but 97% of the time i got no signal, i recently flashed it with the offcieil korean rom, can you please give me the modem flash to flash it again?
guys anyone please? i'm stuck
Be patient. Hardly anyone here has this model phone, any help you get from people who don't have it is likely to be generic at best or downright inaccurate at worst, so you'll get help if/when someone who has this phone & knows of a modem you can use reads it.
Bump your thread once every 24 hrs only if you don't get a reply.
still nobody will give a hand? -_-
guys i'm really in trouble and i know it's not so complicated, why don't you help me?

WTF ??
I was being honest with you, you braindead imbecile. Which part of very few people here have your model phone don't you get through your obviously thick head ?
You're not getting answers because the people here don't know.
What exactly is so difficult about that to you, I have no idea. Hopefully your phone remains in its current state in perpetuity after your whinge.

Rooting

Can anyone talk me through the easiest way to root my Mediapad M5 AL-09? Thanks in advance...
My ultimate goal is to remove some bloatware...especially an extremely popular video apk so I can use an ad free version.
"Search" is your friend.
Yeah, tried that before I posted. Perhaps a truer friend might point me in the right direction...

I actually did. It seemed a little involved for my skill level. I was hoping someone came up with something easier like a one click app. Guess I better roll up my sleeves and start trying to learn this stuff. Anyway, thank you for replying.

It really isn't all that difficult. Read, go slowly and if you have questions post them on that thread and people will help. I have the SHT-W09 8 inch USA wifi and have posted the required patched image for 173 and 190. Perhaps someone will have the correct patched image for the firmware version you are running. If you have not unlocked the bootloader and cannot easily do that with your current firmware that will make it more difficult, but again there is a thread for that and people are willing to help.
Good luck.
