HTC RemoteControl - Touch HD Accessories

Hi Guys,
today I received my RC E100 Wired remote Controller with earphones. This uses the usb interface for connection.
When I plug in the rc I receive a message that this usb earphone can't be used with the Touc HD. When I try to install the driver from web or from the cd I ge the message that there are already the newest driver installed.
Actually I tried it on the original rom version and on the 1.14.405.0 (21010) WWE version.
Anyone got a idea?
BR,

HTC support have confirmed to me that the Touch HD does NOT support audio through the USB and therefore is NOT compatible with the RC E100.
My Touch HD contained a accessories leaflet which included this. You might want to check yours as if it does you would have a reasonable grounds for expecting this to work and therefore returning it now that you have confirmed it doesn't.

Connecting an USB Headset

I bought the HTC Headset SC 200, and connected it to my lovely HTC HD. Sadly, my HTC HD don't want it (error message).
I searched on Web after an USB driver for the HTC HD but didn't found it.
Is there a solution ? Could you help me please ?
Thanks
There's no solution as of yet, as far as I know. The driver you are talking about won't help.
headsets
I use a
Motorola H700 for phone function and
Motorola S9 for music and video
without any problem until today.

I agree. My understanding is there is no possible audio out of the USB connector for the HD.
I was curious as I have the "old" HTC cradles for the Touch Pro in use with my HD. I wanted to use the audio out on the cradle to feed my hifi but after checking in XDA and elsewhere it seems the HD has no audio out in the USB (and no TV out).

Hi,
I am new to the forum as well as i am new to HTC. i bought the USB wired headset and the conveter and it didn't work however; one of my friend has the HTC touch HD and the same headset i bought and the converter and they are working perfectly. Once he upgraded the ROM with a cooked one, the headset stopped working and he started receiving the same error message "the device doesn't support USB headset".
it seems that the original ROM contains a certain driver for the USB headsets.

I have a cooked rom and it doesn't work.
My HD has to get a cooked ROM because I need sim unlock.
what a shame!
Hmm...i have also bought usb headset.
With the same message "the device doesn't support USB headset"
And i have google it but no answear
it's extUSB not usb
extusb == usb with extra htc audio connectors
usb is a digital serial interface which does not support audio
and a real usb headset would be an usb soundcard which would require
usbHost on the devices part something which precious few pda's support
blackstone not being one of those
BUMP
Anyone has solution for this? Is it a software problem, rom problem, or hardware problem?
I'm facing this thus if nothing helps I'll havta send the thing back.

short answer: No it won't work.
as far as I know from google, HD doesn't send audio to extusb, but just to 3.5 mm jack.
I bought an usb adapter from ebay and i made a complain to get full refund.

Adapt CS handsfree HD carkit

I,ve just received the adapt handsfree carkit/craddle.
I,m running a wwe 1.19 ROM but the HD doesn't support the USB headset.
Does somebody has an idea how to solve this problem.
I have the same carholder, and get the same message when I plug the HD in. That said, the charging and handsfree communication work fine.
However while it is not really a problem I'd like to see a solution too...
edit: Dutch original rom btw.
This problem can't be solved - the touch hd doesn't support audio out with usb. You have to use the 3.5mm

Is there no 3.5mm to USB adaptor that would allow the 3.5mm audio port to be connected to USB peripherals? I don't even know if that would be possible, because I assume it would require some kind of analogue to digital converter, to turn the audio signal into a data stream, but I thought it might be worth people looking to see if such a product exists.

[wanted]HTC RC-E100 Wired remote driver for android?

I used this headset with my diamond, but now i got the dream and would like to use this headset, but when i plug it in nothing happens. Does anyone have an idea where i can find the drivers for it? is it even possible?
the thing is i need to use in ear headphones can't stand the standard ones anymore
sorry it wont work its like trying to use a windows driver on linux
... but in myTouch3G and HTC hero it works.. so there isn't a way to port driver of mytouch3G to G1?
http://store.phandroid.com/htc-wired-remote-control-stereo-headset/11A29A5242.htm
Edit:
In HTC store is listed under HTC hero: http://www.htcaccessorystore.com/uk/p_htc_phonecat.aspx?i=184805&c=15
So hero have the driver!
But G1 hero roms have the driver too?
And the driver can't be ported to G1 roms with an update.zip?
hi,just want to know if you found a way to use the remote control on G1

USB Host via MHL?

Hey everyone.
On the German Samsung site i found this adapter for the Galaxy SII:
http://samsung.de/de/Privatkunden/Mobil/Mobiltelefone/Zubehoer/etr205u/ET-R205UBEGSTD/accdetail.aspx
It allows the SII to be a USB Host. Does something like this also exist for the Evo 3d?

Like the above post said...you'll need Rom+Kernel support enabled...as of right now the kernel is only working on some evo3D's but not all. Chad has stated his next sense kernel should have it working on all evo3d's that have Rom support. At this time I think the only Rom confirmed working with Host mode is Olympus. I'm running Chad's Kernel & Olympus but still haven't got it to work. I'm just waiting for Chad to finish up his release, can't wait !!
BTW search Ebay for USB OTG or OTG Cable you'll see plenty
Sorry for my English .. Hello everyone first of all, any driver to control the MHL from the PC?
The truth did not know very well where to place this post, but I think the media is the main function and see if you're lucky, the idea is to propose or if anyone knows, the android can control from your PC, as the case Samsung TVs that recognize the application MHL Device Anynet + (post link). The idea is to connect mobile phone to a computer with a touch screen and control it from the screen contenplando the quality of this type of connection and future applications, CarPC, game systems, internet browsers.
So far the closest I've seen is through a remote program or Android QtADB Commander, but they perform a virtualization and graphics functions are very limited (videos, photos, games, etc. ..).
An interesting idea would be that an application for Android was able to control the touch screen driver THROUGH USB host our phones, this topic is more interesting and juicy indeed already been mentioned in some places but unfortunately I guess we have to wait to get the ICS to Partin, do not you think?.
For those interested in the latter is here.
Greetings.

This cable works only on Nokia 5800.
There are no Android phones that support TV-out via 3.5mm jack. Some phones have HDMI port for this, but most don't.
Now, microUSB-HDMI adapter is known to work on some Androids, but LWW has not been tested. So we also do not know, if there is any app for it or not.
2nd way would be DLNA, but that only supports media files.
Thanks man

i still confused how to use DLNA?
I already tried the Samsung "Micro USB <-> HDMI" cable and it dindt work. But that cable it's a bit weird, you have to connect the charger to the cable. Maybe a generic "Micro USB <-> HDMI" cable works

You don't connect the charger to the adapter.
I am not sure, if Xperia's support TV-out from microUSB. If not, then likely will not work.
For DLNA, you need the original file from stock ROM.

In Xperia Mini st15a, DLNA can be used through an app what initiate an server what give access for media content like videos and photos, and if you have an eletronic like a notebook or tv with dlna certified, then they have the client to connect to the server and execute these contents. Although, windows 7 comes with dlna client, windows media center, through wifi (dlna is a protocol what runs over wifi).
I asked in my country to Sony support about MHL, they say what the only device is the Xperia Arc S what have MHL ... but i can't confirm that, and the new Xperia U, P etc etc maybe have. However, for us owners of xperia 2011 devices, theres no mhl function, and i searched a lot... so i found xBounds, google it.
About cables through jack, the same, don't work... Sony have an oficial cable to x1 i guess, but not for live's or mini's.
Search also about mirrorOp app on Google Play Store.
PS3 have dlna also and Sony have an app on Play called VScreens.
ps: sry by the english.

"No problem" about threads, just be careful. One day I made this also . Post an answer on your thread with a link to this post.
And it we go again... all noob have hope about the HDMI in service menu...
Yes, in service menu there is a button for hdmi test. All Android with service menu have a button for hdmi test. All Android with this button kinda have hdmi software support. But, in order to use HDMI properly, the device need a hardware what support HDMI, for example, MHL need an USB socket and a circuit, HDMI need a HDMI socket and a circuit.
In this case, is all about hardware not only software. Although, there are some ways to do screen mirroring, some hardwares and softwares. I bet in xBounds.
No one tried to plug an MHL adapter in mini's or live's, because no one reported if work or not, all we have is a uncertainty. No one tried to plug another kind of cable and reported if work or not. *No one since the latest search I made.
I haven't tried to use an MHL adapter yet because I don't found it in my country so easily and don't found a MHL adapter "more appropriate".
I just need search for a friend or visit some seller what I can meet to test it. I don't found yet.

Doubt not. You're obviously too busy to look it up . Suffice to say that entering "android tv out 3.5mm" or "galaxy s tv" on a well known phone spec checker (sometimes known as 'giyf') gives prominent links to the correct accessory and video demos.

The Sidekick 4g does as well. 4pin 3.5mm TRRS (Left,Right,Ground,Video) cables work on it. So does the Galaxy S II (i9100), and according to Samsung's website, with "Samsung Exhibit™ 4G Android Smartphone Samsung Captivate™ Android Smartphone Samsung Vibrant™ Android Smartphone Galaxy S™ 4G Android Smartphone Samsung Omnia® II Touchscreen Smartphone"
Composite video on 3.5mm jack, and most of those phones have MHL over usb or hdmi as well. Suck on that non-believer.
Samsumg have nice phones.
Sadly theres no MHL, or jack, or HDMI, or magic for xperia mini/pro, et cetera.
Is really unpleasant what the demostration video for LiveDock cause the impression of is possible do tv out for any phone Xperia, but this was discussed before, the true is what the phone in demostration has your own HDMI out. Even the docks with HDMI out, is for phones that already have the HDMI out builded in.
We have just a long wait for xBounds becomes a true for us, because is the only resource what seems work as we need and want.
Of course there's another solutions, but the issue is the delay, but this is not problem, for example, if you want just show content in non-real time.
i have used the galaxy notes MHL in my xperia mini and it dosent work....!!!!1
