[wanted]HTC RC-E100 Wired remote driver for android? - G1 Accessories

I used this headset with my diamond, but now i got the dream and would like to use this headset, but when i plug it in nothing happens. Does anyone have an idea where i can find the drivers for it? is it even possible?
the thing is i need to use in ear headphones can't stand the standard ones anymore

sorry it wont work its like trying to use a windows driver on linux

... but in myTouch3G and HTC hero it works.. so there isn't a way to port driver of mytouch3G to G1?
http://store.phandroid.com/htc-wired-remote-control-stereo-headset/11A29A5242.htm
Edit:
In HTC store is listed under HTC hero: http://www.htcaccessorystore.com/uk/p_htc_phonecat.aspx?i=184805&c=15
So hero have the driver!
But G1 hero roms have the driver too?
And the driver can't be ported to G1 roms with an update.zip?

hi,just want to know if you found a way to use the remote control on G1

Connecting an USB Headset

I bought the HTC Headset SC 200, and connected it to my lovely HTC HD. Sadly, my HTC HD don't want it (error message).
I searched on Web after an USB driver for the HTC HD but didn't found it.
Is there a solution ? Could you help me please ?
Thanks
There's no solution as of yet, as far as I know. The driver you are talking about won't help.
headsets
I use a
Motorola H700 for phone function and
Motorola S9 for music and video
without any problem until today.
Best regards

I agree. My understanding is there is no possible audio out of the USB connector for the HD.
I was curious as I have the "old" HTC cradles for the Touch Pro in use with my HD. I wanted to use the audio out on the cradle to feed my hifi but after checking in XDA and elsewhere it seems the HD has no audio out in the USB (and no TV out).

Hi,
I am new to the forum as well as i am new to HTC. i bought the USB wired headset and the conveter and it didn't work however; one of my friend has the HTC touch HD and the same headset i bought and the converter and they are working perfectly. Once he upgraded the ROM with a cooked one, the headset stopped working and he started receiving the same error message "the device doesn't support USB headset".
it seems that the original ROM contains a certain driver for the USB headsets.

I have a cooked rom and it doesn't work.
My HD has to get a cooked ROM because I need sim unlock.
what a shame!
Hmm...i have also bought usb headset.
With the same message "the device doesn't support USB headset"
And i have google it but no answear
it's extUSB not usb
extusb == usb with extra htc audio connectors
usb is a digital serial interface which does not support audio
and a real usb headset would be an usb soundcard which would require
usbHost on the devices part something which precious few pda's support
blackstone not being one of those
BUMP
Anyone has solution for this? Is it a software problem, rom problem, or hardware problem?
I'm facing this thus if nothing helps I'll havta send the thing back.

short answer: No it won't work.
as far as I know from google, HD doesn't send audio to extusb, but just to 3.5 mm jack.
I bought an usb adapter from ebay and i made a complain to get full refund.

HTC RemoteControl

Hi Guys,
today I received my RC E100 Wired remote Controller with earphones. This uses the usb interface for connection.
When I plug in the rc I receive a message that this usb earphone can't be used with the Touc HD. When I try to install the driver from web or from the cd I ge the message that there are already the newest driver installed.
Actually I tried it on the original rom version and on the 1.14.405.0 (21010) WWE version.
Anyone got a idea?

HTC support have confirmed to me that the Touch HD does NOT support audio through the USB and therefore is NOT compatible with the RC E100.
My Touch HD contained a accessories leaflet which included this. You might want to check yours as if it does you would have a reasonable grounds for expecting this to work and therefore returning it now that you have confirmed it doesn't.

usb mouse

does the touch pro 2 have the ability to use a mouse with it ???
USB is a host/client interface. The TP2 is a client, not a host, so no. I am curious about it's ability to use bluetooth peripherals though, would be cool to use blue tooth game pads with emulators.
I thought the input of the TP2 was called Mini-USB? So why can't a (mini)-usb device work together with the TP2 per definition?
Mini-usb is a connector size. USB is a host-client interface (one device is the HOST, one is the CLIENT), and your phone only works as a CLIENT, not a HOST. The hardware is actually different.
Some phones actually DO have the HOST hardware included, but no drivers included to make it work. There was a USB-HOST set of drivers hanging around here somewhere for some phones, but I don't know if anyone's ever tried with the rhodium.
somewhere reported as non functioning
do you think it might work with a bt mouse?? used to have one for htc universal... simply fantastic!! where to find drivers though? I lost the cd coming with it..
years ago I have had a bt mouse with on WM. Cant remember what the mouse was called or the software it used, But I still have it at home somewhere. I could check. Maybe storeaway, would that be it? It was cool to have a little cross on the screen.

Stowaway probably... mine is called "stowaway bluetooth travel mouse"!
if we find the drivers, and if it is compatible with wm6.1 / wvga and all the rest, we could manage to use the TP2 as a little netbook, like the old good days with the htc universal! that would be simply great!
I don't actually have TP2 yet, but there's a piece of software called Bluemouse, which is supposed to let you use a Bluetooth mouse with your device, and there's a trial which you can use to see if it works or not. As for the Zeno USB host drivers, apparently they don't work with the TP2, nor most of the HTCs with Qualcomm chipsets, since there is no host capability.

Nokia BH-215 bluetooth headset: Incompatible

Hi there,
I recently bought the TD2 and hoped to be able to use my beloved Nokia BH-215 bluetooth headset with it. However, the sound quality is poor and it keeps getting disconnected. HTC informed me that it is incompatible with my phone.
Is there any way I can make it work with my TD2? Could a cooked ROM help? (I'm still using the stock ROM). Or can anyone recommend another compatible "clip"-type headset that works?
Many thanks!
Nat
my gf uses the nokia bh-214. the quality seems great and all and although she uses it on her old fashioned nokia, i have paired it with my HTC (using dutty's newer ROMs) and it worked fine (volume controls were laggy, but that's about it)
i personally use the SE HBH-DS980. see this post for my review: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=629787
i think 3rd or 4th post.

Thank you, Drag-On. I will check it out.

[Q] Sixaxis Controller App

Hi there,
Got my HTC One X+ last week and am glad to part of this forum.
I have some questions about the Sixaxis controller app. I am a great fan and supporter of this app and have used it on all my android devices.
First off... I understand its not compatible with the HOX+ or many other HTC Devices because of the way HTC configure their Bluetooth drivers. However.... See this video of the HOX using the Sixaxis Controller app.
One of he main reasons I got the HOX+ was because of this video. I was really surprised to learn its not compatible!! Did HTC use different drivers on these devices?
So my question is... How can we / very talented devs make it work? Will running a different ROM or Kernel provide the right drivers?
Can the drivers from the HOX be flashed onto the HOX+?
Devs... Any ideas?
Oops. Ok ok ok. Before the flaming starts... I did do a search and got nothing... i have just done another and seen that a similar question has already been asked. I think it may be because my 'a' key is missing off my laptop keyboard and searched the wrong phrase.... (sixxis)
Anyways, My question still stands... Is there a way to use the BT drivers from the HOX?
Or. Is there another ROM or Kernel we can use?
Thanks
HTC devices are missing certain blutooth protocols that prevent sixaxis from working. Maybe CM will fix this. But i believe some people has reported it does not.
Why not buy a OTG cable and connect via USB?
Sent from my HTC One X+ using Tapatalk 2
Sure, I'll get a usb cable But will that still let me use the Sixaxis app?
Does the HOX+ have native gamepad support? So we can play shadowgun, dead trigger, GTA etc with our controllers?
So I'm also still interested in finding out if its possible to somehow port over the HOX Bluetooth protocols to the HOX+... I'm no dev, but would that be possible? .... What is a protocol?

You dont need sixaxis if you connect wired. Android has drivers for ps3 and 360 controllers. So it's plug n play pretty much

Did you have it working with a sense rom? It's a common issue with most HTC devices afaik.

I had issues pairing with it but I could just use my nexus 7 and enter in the Bluetooth address to my one xl to pair the controller and it worked fine
If I can find my otg cable I'll test it on this phone

It's true that they won't pair with the sixaxis app.
I don't have a usb cable so I can't test that way.
With my transformer prime I could connect with usb and then pair via blue tooth to play shadow gun etc... Native game pad support.
I really miss the sixaxis app for gaming. The video in the first post shows it working on the HOX. I guess the question I'm asking again is can the bluetooth protocols from the HOX be ported over to the HOX+?
There must be a way to get this working on the HOX.
Please tell me if I'm way off track but can this be done? Come on devs put me out my misery!

Use your prime to pair your hox, in the sixaxis app there's an option to pair manually. Open that up and erase the Bluetooth address.
Open the app on you hox to get its address, and enter the Bluetooth address from your hox in you prime and hit pair
Then the sixaxis controller will be paired with your hox.
Its a pain but it works
Slithered from my HTC One X+ running Viper XL+
Yeah, I know I can pair it manually either with a pc or on my Prime, but the issues still remains that the Sixaxis app won't start the Bluetooth drivers and therefore will never connect to the controller.
I've been researching and apparently you can port over the normal Android Bluetooth bits but it breaks HTC Sense. :banghead:
So back to the beginning... Sixaxis works on the HOX, so the HOX must have compatible Bluetooth protocols... Can one of the talented Dev's here get the Bluetooth bits from the HOX over to the HOX+?

You do if you want to create Maps for games that do not have native game pad support. Like MW4, Batman, etc...

I, too, am having problems getting the sixaxis app to work.
Is there a workaround of any kind or will we just have to wait for a custom rom that fixes the issue?
any one has any fix? my ps3 controler bluetooth mac adress is stuck at 00:00:00:00:00:00 i can't change it. and wil only work wired with ps3 (normal its a unoficiel) but on my android phone. gs3 it conects i play gta san, but than controler goes off. i need to unplug it and pres home buton and plug back in and it works 10sec. and its gone again..
