Universal Vehicle Power Adapter from Vivanco! - Shift Accessories

Yesterday i bought the Universal Digital Camera Vehicle Power Adapter and the SHIFT is working perfectly with this adapter!
It is a cheap and very nice solution, i bought this adapter for 25 euro's (24,99) by the Mediamarkt. Mediamarkt is a electronic shop in the Netherlands.
Just take a look at the URL.

car charger from below site?

Hi has anyone used this site
m-99.co.uk
they have a HTC car charger listed, was wondering how reliable they are before buying?
any recommendations?
I bought one from Expansys and it works just great, it has Fuse connector so the device is more safe from power inturruption. Very useful ti use with GPS on Vista side while in the car. or to watch movies while on a long trip.

Shift's charger = EPC's charger !!!

Have confirmed the results that Shift' charger is definitely the same with EPC 1000'charger!!! Input,Output,Voltage,Model....even factory.....(ADP-36EH A)
And also I have bought one and confirmed again.....
What about car charger? It's clear!!!
Enjoy everyone.
nice findings!!!

I've been looking around for an extra adapter but can't seem to find ADP-36EH A. But there are a few companies that are selling ADP-36EH C, would this work? ADP-36EH C can be googled, let us know! =)
I just found this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....akeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en

Well, i found a very cheap one ( only $3). I went to a general electronics store and bought an universal 12V car charger. It has 4 heads (2 male & 2 female). The smaller head fits the Shift.
I have used the Shift as a GPS for some days now and it works like a charm.
what store did you find thi in?
the changer is incompatible for shift....
eee pc's changer DC plug is OD4.8mm ID1.75mm, shift's changer DC plug is OD5.5mm ID2.1mm.

If you are able to make GPS work on the Shift, Winmo or even Win7, I would apreciate any help in the question I've raised in this thread:

Charger works
I bought the charger mentioned above (12V 3A) for the EEEPC on ebay for $10 and the tip was too small as expected.
So I went to RadioShack, and bought a
Size M Coaxial DC Power Plug (part # 274-1569) package of 2 for $3.
Snipped the tip and added my own. Now I have 2 power chargers!
I have the extra tip still so I can do it to a Car charger if needed too...once I find a 12V 3A one...

we sell eeepc charger's at my work and that tip is definetly too small
ooh forgot to post this but for what its worth, i tried going through lots of universal chargers and finally got one that worked.
The FSP NET 40 , using the Blue tip, works perfectly with my shift, it uses a right-angle type connector but i like it especially beacuse the tips are very securely connected meaning it wont easily snap, and the brick is still tiny, infact i think it might be smaller!
Manufacturer: FSP Group
Model: NET 40
Part No: PNA0400203

Android Tablet question.

I just bought an Android Tablet off craigslist. The guy bought it overseas. (China i guess) He game me the charger that has to be hooked up to a converter. The plug that goes into tablet looks like an ipod charger.
I am trying to find a place to get a US charger and car charger but can't find the model of this tablet. in About Device it says imx51_bbg. I do not know where to look for the charger. Sorry for this being such a newb question....
I am also wanting to root this thing to maybe get something not foreign on it....
Try a converter from radio shack. And if it's from China, like, retail in China, it's likely that it's already rooted.
Sent from my HTC Vision using Tapatalk
If your mains/grid supply is at a voltage listed on the power adapter "input" figure, you just need a $1 or $2 converter plug from ebay or wherever, so it will physically fit in the socket.
ie: My nook came with a US charger/plug (US system is like 110V or whatever), but the charger allows input of 100 to 240 V, so I just used the converter plug from ebay and it works on the aussie 240V system.
I have the converter plug... I just want a normal plug for it. So i can plug into my us outlet and then plug into the tablet....
It does not seem like anyone makes one. You figured with all of the hong kong market on ebay they would of had something... Even a car charger....
I also do not believe it is rooted as I tried to install superusers and it did not allow access.
maybe you can try search on china's online forum..I think they have what you need in trading (sell-buy) sub forum..
Actually I took apart a supply I had laying around. Cut the 2 wires to the Euro plug then soldiered the wires to my US supply. Sealed the supply box back up and it works perfect.

One Piece Micro USB MHL to HDMI converter/cable

Has anyone confirmed successful use of a One Piece Micro USB MHL to HDMI converter/cable other than the $40 Samsung OEM one? I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Pro and want to push video and audio to HDMI without carrying around three items (as is the case with this solution that seems to work per other posts: http://www.wowparts.com/mhl-to-hdmi...-1-2014-editin-notepro-12-2-tab-pro-8-4-10-1/).
Thanks!
I tried the Skiva unit (which is essentially a commodity - two red six-foot cables - one for power, one for micro-USB, to an HDMI connector, available under dozens of brand names) - no dice. Even the power connection was unreliable.
I have the multi-piece cheap kit with the angular dongle - also a cheap Chinese commodity and probably precisely what Wow is selling, but at several dollars less after shipping and with better Amazon return policies - coming in a few days and will report then.
I very much prefer the approach my Droid 4 takes, of a dedicated Micro-D HDMI output port. For all the great features of the Samsung SM-T320 (the 8.4" Tab Pro), this and the lack of OTG USB power are bizarre omissions.

The EEKit unit works perfectly. But it comes without directions and has about ten parts, of which you need really just three.
Plug the dongle into the TV, plug the tiny micro-USB to micro-USB SIII plug into the phone input, plug a micro-USB male to micro-USB male cable between that and the Samsung tablet. (Several cables are provided that would work.) Plug your charger into the other micro-USB plug on the dongle. It just works. With several parts left over.
One addendum; the EEEKit unit (and presumably the Wow clone) uses the charger to power the dongle, but doesn't seem to use it to power the tablet. The one-piece red unit (Skiva et al) does power the tablet via the cable... which would be more useful if it also worked for it's intended purpose.

And even more data... since I hadn't sent back the Skiva yet, I tried the S III connector that enabled the EEEKit to work on it. It looks like this unit (Amazon).
With it, the Skiva works. Although it didn't charge with this connected. Which implies that the problem is the Samsung isn't doing the standard outputs.
So the solution is either the full EEEKit set, or the one-piece red cable unit with the S III 5-to11 pin converter.
Bummer... don't want to carry around three pieces, but also don't want to spend $40. Hopefully someone will find a 3rd party one-piece that will work and post here...

Plug the pieces together, glue them with superglue, and it's one piece, still only $15.

[Q] MHL to HDMI Adapter: Connecting to TV?

Hi everyone. I asked about this some time ago, and someone here recommended an adapter that I bought from Ebay. It was difficult to make it fit into the tablet, but it would fit sometimes. Nowadays, I can't get it to fit at all. It also does not fit into my new android phone, so I thought the cable was just damaged. I bought a different MHL to HDMI adapter (Rankie) from Amazon. This cable is pretty much identical to the first cable I bought. It also does not fit all the way into my tablet or phone (goes in about halfway). Compared to the USB charging cable, I noticed that the silver end piece of the MHL to HDMI adapter is slightly longer and different in shape.
This is the adapter that I tried to use: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MY05GNA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Which MHL to HDMI adapter would you recommend specifically? If you could link to the page, I would really appreciate that.
I got the PPA version from Frys yesterday & it does work; will need to connect to a charger since it does drain the battery quickly. Haven't had it long enough to see if it works consistently; plugging the adapter to the 11-pin to 5-pin adapter is a bit tight but that's to the good for a solid fit.
The adapter is also available at Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/PPA-Internati...id=1425057983&sr=1-1&keywords=ppa+mhl+to+hdmi
The "sale" at Frys for the last day is 2/28/2015 for $14.95.
