i tried to flash rom and now goes only in boodloader mode, nowhere else
now the ONBL is 1.07.0000 and SPL is 1.07.0000
S/N : SZ7************* A
so is my phone dead?
can anyone pls advise wat i should do?

thanks, but ive already done this and at the final step, when i try to flash the rom i take "ERROR [300] - Get a newer rom update utility."
is there any newer rom update utility???
where can I find that?

hello there
i am stuck in tricolor bootloader mode ipl 1.04 spl 2.03. the thing is i didn't flash my device when this is happening. it happened when i changed the sim card.when i turned it on the tricolor bootloader appear..i never have problems with my device b4..i hv tried the fix mentioned here by using mtty still to no avail..also i tried to flash my device (1st time ever) to the official rom..it did get to 100% and succeful but when it reset the bootloader reappear..any idea??
i never flash my device b4..the one that i mentioned is done after this problem appear so the question of hardspl do not arise..

GOD what shud i do
Before flashing the cooked ROM, remove the SD Card. I guess error 300 is (connection error)? I had this freak problem, my Gene would sit at the boot loader for ever when SD Card was inserted. Do revert back if your problem is solved .

I ran hspl.exe. It's didn't restart but went off. I press soft reset now only bootloader is showing with ONBL 1.10.0000 and SPL 1.10.Olip. there is also RUU at the top right corner. What can I do now to flash another rom or get back my gene?

First try to remove the battery and then put it back in and try to switch it on see if it boots into the windows...if not then follow the step given below...
Download any custom rom for OLD gene and run the rom update utility (RUU) it will be back to normal...
Note : Most importantly don't panic ...even if the phone is taking its usual time to boot up it may seem longer cos we are worried....have patience...

is it (ht8xxx) or (ht7xxx) ?

Its normal thing that ur device got off after hspl.exe
it seems like u hv new gene....so now u should use Oref unbricker...
u just followed step 1....
so u should move on to step 2
which is unbricking gene by oref method

Did you read this
To enter boot loader mode, press and hold the camera key and press reset.

Before taking it to service center, you may give a last try by pressing and holding camera and power buttons and then using stylus to reset the phone. That had worked for me.

Having Gene 100
In boot Loader Mode is showing
ONBL 1.07.0000
SPL 1.07.0000
while starting in soft reset mode It shows Htc spash screen with
ONBL 1.07.0000
SPL 1.07.0000
GSM 02.71.90
i goes blink...
well tried to update the rom with "P3400 - 24 March 2007.exe(HTC_wwe)
getting update successfully, but still in same problem..
nothing get changes...

i have a Old gene on which i had upgraded the rom to windows 6.5 using Olipro.
Now i had given the phone to my brother he again tried to upgrade! But the phone is stuck at the tricolour screen showing;-
