CDMA Roms - Touch Pro CDMA

So, i was at Pocketnow.com, and they were showing off a touch HD with a killer new ROM, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=483822
So i wondered if there might be a ROM for the Touch Pro.. but, i don't know where to look. The Raphael forum section has a ROMS thread, but those are the GSM version only. Insteady for the CDMA, we have this one thread, which covers the Sprint AND Verizon version, but seemingly no ROM scene... where do i look for Roms? Here or in the ROMS section?
And is there a way we can get a CDMA ROMS section on the forum. Or most importantly, is there a Raphael CDMA version of that particular ROM

Goto PPCgeeks.com It's THE source for CDMA phones.

Most of the CDMA ROMS i've seen are on PPCgeeks.com. They have a very large sprint and verizon crowd. However, i'm not sure if they have anything similar to the ROM you're looking for. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=68

XDA-Developers is pretty much a GSM based Forum with a little CDMA thrown in to help here and there and PPCGeeks is pretty much a CDMA based Forum with a little help here and there for GSM. should make it alot more simple.

check out this site it was created by the PPCGeeks community for custom Rom trackin for the TP (CDMA)

Are there any CDMA RAPH800 ROM here?

I'm looking for some roms to play around with here at XDA. I have tried some at ppcgeeks and want to see what else is out there in here? It seems that majority of the roms here are for GSM version. Thanks
ppc geeks is where you are going to find cdma roms considering that the Raphael project team(olinex) released the cdma hard spl on that forum.

extremely confused: flashing ROM onto GSM phone

hi,
i am sooo confused, i've been reading as many of these posts in xda and ppcgeeks but i still dont fully understand. please clarify the following...
i have a GSM htc touch pro already unlocked when bought. i want to flash CFAY TP2 ROM but its in the CDMA forums. am i right to assume that its not possible for me to flash?
therefore, are there far less ROMS to pick from bcos i have a GSM phone?
Thank u kindly in advanced.
If you flash a CDMA ROM to your GSM Touch Pro you'll brick your Touch Pro.
I've always been under the impression that there are a lot more ROMs available for GSM than CDMA Touch Pros. There are many excellent ROMs for the GSM Touch Pro.
thanks for clearing that up so quickly. =)

Best source for flashing the TP (GSM)
I call it "stupidly simple"
There are more gsm roms and cdma. Look around. The best roms for me are RRE and Energy roms. Try them and you will like them. Especially RRE rom.

CDMA ROMS?

If this has been answered and you're annoyed don't respond.
I am wondering if we are going to get CDMA Roms for the Hero?
or should i just check over at ppcgeeks.com
First we have to root the phone before making any changes to the phone or putting a new recovery image
once we have root access we should start seeing custom roms
Also, PPCGeeks is really WinMo focused. XDA-dev here is HTC focused, so we're more likely to see CMDA Android roms here than there.
ETA? lol
Just curious if anyone is in motion?

Well PCCGeeks has a Sprint Hero forum now.
I would say that XDA-Dev and PPCGeeks are both WinMo and HTC focused. Last year android made its way to XDA-Dev cause it's an HTC device. The real difference between the two sites is that XDA-Dev is focused mostly on GSM and PPCGeeks is focused mostly on CDMA.
Awesome!
But sadly PPCGeeks has been having some serious server issues! :/

Evo 3D CDMA and GSM unified ROMs

Hi everyone,
I was just wondering just how big a difference there is to the ROMs for the CDMA and the GSM version of our phones?
I suppose the kernels are at least different, but the main part of the rest of it must be the same.
Back when I had the HTC Magic there were different versions of the mainboard in the phone. At some point someone figured out how to make the .zip install from recovery include both kernels and push the right one to the phone when installing.
Having development of ROMs fragmented is pretty sad, as there is a lot going on in the CDMA forum and not so much in the GSM forum yet (... yeah, you guessed it, I have the GSM version)
Has anyone taken two ROMs apart and compared?

Honestly I can say that for right now you're not missing much (it's only exciting until your cool new rom starts to crash randomly). You'll almost definitely get the important stuff like aosp and mini, although it may take a little bit longer. For a GSM phone, you're not in a bad spot though: between the development for the CDMA 3D and the sensation, you've pretty much got all the ingredients for your GSM 3D hahaha.
now that i have an evo 3d ill be differentiating the apks and libs from cdma vs gsm and try to figure out how to have a universal rom for both phones

[Q] CDMA ROM on GSM phone?

So, I got myself a GSM version of the Evo 3d. But, as always, htc sense is starting to annoy me... In the CDMA development section there is a "senseless" rom, still in development whatsoever. What would happen if I were to flash it? Would it in any way damage my phone? Hence, I'm not even sure what the difference is between the gsm and the cdma, apart from the radio....
I wouldn't do it, they might be partitioned differently. If it was compatible there wouldn't be two separate dev sections.
This was a reply for same question
might potentially brick your device. Different kernel and drivers are needed and the radios are night and day. Unless the CDMA version is ported to gsm. Don't even try it.
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A
The gsm evo3d is an entirely different beast than the cdma version. Different hboots, different radios, requires a sim card where cdma doesn't. Basically you will break your phone. You will just have to wait until someone develops a gsm rom you like. The problem with porting over a cdma rom is most likely the developer that made the rom doesn't have a gsm phone to test and use so they can't develop for it.

You'll Brick your phone man... Cdma is Cdma! And Gsm is Gsm! The Only way it could be done is if its Ported!
