Has anyone checked if topaz has tv out?

I've been going through the registry today, found an interesting "FacebookDisable" key, and also some interesting stuff for TV Out...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=507995
And now, I've just found this...
HKLM > Drivers > BuiltIn > TVOUT
I could be wrong, but this tells me that
a) The D2 can support TV Out in some way shape size or form.
b) If it doesn't work straight out of the box, some reg tweaks and maybe a cab port from the Rhodium should sort it.

I found this on pocketnow.com

Going by the footnote at the bottom of the page saying that the HD/Diamond don't work as they have no TV out functionality built in, just like the diamond 2. I'd guess that it then.

I'm not quite sure there is no sort of TV-Out.
I mean, i use My Mobiler to control my TD2 with my pc, so there is a way to export image from the TD2.
But maybe it is another technique...

any news?...

So as I see It doesn't work right?
Well Yes Because basically Topaz needs a TV out small hardware,And this handy doesn't have one. I dont know why but they were not going to have one in Pro 2 as well but it seems they've changed their minds.
Now there are TV out cable available for Pro 2 even in HTC official website. But when there is nothing for Topaz it already shows we have to forget it.
I don't know if we could make or buy some TV out external hardware ourselves?we easily can connect it to the phone if there is any ?

Did you try http://www.nuerom.com/BlogEngine/page/nueTVOut.aspx

is it working????
or still not
pls"update" if it does

From http://www.nuerom.com/BlogEngine/page/nueTVOut.aspx
Description Screen21
nueTVOut allows you to force TV output to be on, and allows use of the TV Out control panel even if you do not have an original HTC Video out cable.
To use the TV Out, you’ll need the audio dongle (rectangular block) that came with the phone, as well as a camcorder/iPod video cable. Plug the camcorder/iPod video cable into the dongle, and plug the dongle into your phone. Open the control panel, enable the video output and select the correct standard (NTSC for United States/Canada), and press ok. If there is no video output, try switching the outputs until you get a signal (for me, the video was on the red right audio RCA, instead of the yellow video RCA). If you don’t get any video, most likely you have a cable for an mp3 player that has the ground connected to the wrong pin. Camcorder/iPod video cables work best.
Have you tryed switching the outputs?

Is there anybody who could export HKLM registers from HTC TOUCH PRO for comparing with the HTC Touch Diamond 2?

its work in htc diamond 1 ?
please tall me.

doesnt work with Diamond 2

I have the original cable which I purchased for the TouchPro. It doesnt work with the Topaz:-( I managed to get only audio.

I queried HTC about the TV Out issue and got this reply:
"Thanks for contacting HTC.
With regards of your query, while its essentially the same hardware in the Diamond2 and Pro, and TV out is a function of the Qualcomm chipset, not all of the pins connecting to the chipset may be connected through to the extUSB port in the same way.
Please kindly wait for the WM 6.5 (which will release within 3 weeks) to see if the TV out cable is there."
I am a bit pessimistic. Anyhow, let's wait and see.

[12/9] nueLight3

(2) I’ve been experimenting with new UI interfaces, the latest engine and API I’ve developed aims on blending in with Manila. You can see it in the new beta of nueLight3, which aims to replicate the look and feel of the HTC CommManager – It supports both orientations and uses the same style resources as the HTC comm manager, allowing easy porting of existing skins – it now also has the advantage of being able to use the same resources under multiple resolutions (automatic stretching). Hopefully this allows Windows Mobile to be a little more attractive in the future…. you can download a preview version here (note only the CAB is available right now). As usual, please avoid direct linking and mirroring. It uses the HTCCamera1.dll interface now, so it should be compatible with all HTC devices with flash. In addition, the morse code transmit rates are now calculated automatically based on desired WPM, using the (dit_time = 1200/WPM) “PARIS” method.

Other than the High Beam issue (flashes), it's working looks nice and works great.
Just one question - NET 3.5 required? I only ask because just like with your Power/Backlight CPL item, this crashes once I exit (with the "report this error to MS" crash).
I have NET2 and 3.5 (2 is default)

An idea... could you make the application perform the flashes on the screen (fullscreen white light) for devices that do not have flash??
That will make everyone happy
pretty cool application, but my light wont go off, somehow it allows me to exit the program and wont turn the light off for anything, i have to restart my phone to turn it off, the camera app wont come up either. If you could fix this lil bug id use this over the htorch
will this run on any wm device? and version?
BUG - Exit app at instruction screen will cause LED to stay on
As far as the program exit issue: I will try to repeat it and gather/note any details reported or take a screenshot (generally happens upon exit, but hasn't happened since the first time using the app).
I did notice a bug, though (if it's a bug/feature, not sure):
1: Start the application
2: When presented with the notice about sliding finger up to bring up the menu, click the [X] to close it (must set HTC Task Manager to close app when clicking [X])
The LED will now stay on, and no other app will be able to control it (or, in some cases, even start, such as nueLight or hTorch).

Dude! I love this. You ought to contact D-MAN666 and see if it is possible to integrate this into TF3D!
agreeee,.
not bad.
how ever highbeam makes my x1's bright light flash instead of staying on.
also since the rez on my x1 is wvga after going into the about screen and then back the bottom of the background is no longer shown.
im guessing the background can be fixed with a theme edit. but any clues or ideas about highbeam flashing instead of staying on would be cool. unless its supposed to flash.

X7510 doesn't take to nueLight
During the installation a warning about the software being developed for an older version of WM appears.
Then it just wouldn't start.
Works great, wondering if you might release a new version. If you do could you just make in program files and not in its own folder.
would you make it compatible with samsung omnia ?
Awesome tool i've been using it for quite a while now. I love the morse-code option.
I have to agree with moullas and wanwarlock to add a feature for none HW flash device's to make it a complete and ultimate flashlite app.

Yes I used the 1.5 keyboard because the new 2.1 I or someone else need to get working forgot to mention it in first post I have also uploaded roms for Polaris and kaiser at the same time so somethings get lost in info
Sorry about that
Great work mate. I tried your rom and found problem:
1. Touchscreen when using stylus is slow (some times work after tap several time)
2. Automatic 3G setting doesn't working. I tried several rom before, all of them will automatically set 3G on first use. Any solution for this one. I can't use my NIKI for internet
Keep up the good work. And by the way, I really love the new mega keyboard. Please implement it on next release.
Hi Gullum, nice to see another rom of your hands in the nike forum. Always a big fan of your roms. Installed it yesterday and so far I don't have any other issues than the two ade.yuda mentioned. Keep up the good work.
Looks good, downloading :-D Welcome back to nike section Gullum!
great rom
Thanks for the rom, it´s good to have you back.
So far so good.

@ade.yuda, your problem:
1. touchscreen is good, I dont feel any annoyance
2. Automatic 3G setting doesn't working, I use this to solve HTC_NetWizard_1.0.29982.1.cab
uauuuuu
that's what i really need. i was looking for that tool
I'm getting closer to having a new rom ready how does 69 MB free ram sound with all the same apps
That would be great. Can't wait for it.
That is definitely what I need. Thanks gacon1000
2 little problems:
1. it doesnt flash the first boot screen (would be great if you could could provide a seperate ruu for the bootscreans)
2, everytime i install the wm7 titanium cab it hard resets the device...
Solved my hardreset problem. had nothing to do with your rom. Sorry for that. But i found some other things you might work on...
As i saw you tried to make xdaShutdown the default longpresspowerkey app. that didnt work. it executes the standard "Power Off - Do you want to turn off your device? Yes / No" thing.
It would be really great if you could tidy up the /windows directory. it seems to be full of lnk's to programs that are not installed (for example _IAgenda, iASetting, etc.). I know it's not a mayor issue but it would raise the comfort for users...
M2DC is not installed. Why? As far as i can see it works with the new manila.
The mentioned problem with using the stylus... it happens for example when your in the fileexplorer and there are more items than fit on one page. I have to hold the stylus down for quite a while to select an item. makes double clicking (for example in Total Comander) impossible.
It's stopping
my phone is having some strage freezes.
after some minutes it stops and frezes. The only way to get him back is to remove he batery. But then he hasks for the calibration and everything i configured and instlled is gone. The only thing that stays the same is the date.
Right now and for the last 10 minutes hi's in the 1st screen with the radio version.

[Q] Has anyone managed to pair a Motorola keyboard with the HTC Flyer?

I tried pairing my Motorola bluetooth keyboard, designed ostensibly for the Xoom but actually functional with any computer, with my HTC Flyer.
A dialog prompting me to enter some numbers into the keyboard appears, then immediately disappears and is replaced by a Toast message. Both are visible in this screenshot, courtesy of the device's fancy pen screenshot thing:

Thoughts? Has anyone managed to get the Flyer to pair with a keyboard? If so, which one?
Aha. You have to convince it that you're pairing it with a desktop PC by holding down V, A, and R when you power it on. Unfortunately, this results in the android keys not working.
HELP ---- Can't get Xoom keyboard to work & Questions about BT Mouse...
Greetings!
I have the same keyboard and am unable to get it to work. I tried everything but the problem is that "code" to pair it only stays up for a second or two. I also tried hold down the V, A and R keys.
Is there another way?
Also, I was able to pair my Mac Mouse but it's too jumpy and I would love it if I could see a pointer on my screen. My friend as the BB Playbook and it plays very nicely with his BT keyboard and BT mouse. Even the Playbook shows a pointer on its screen when paired with a mouse.
Thanks so much for your help, Community
Fwiw I actually removed the batteries before holding down those keys while powering it on. I wanted to make sure it was really off.
THANK YOU!!!

Samsung Tab bluetooth keyboard case works with HTC Flyer
Hi,
I'm new here. I signed up to share this piece of information with other Flyer users. I love my Flyer and have been looking for a case with an attached bluetooth keyboard that works with the Flyer. Finally ordered one that arrived today.
The verdict?
It works with the Flyer. When you first try to pair them (All Settings > Wireless and Networks > Bluetooth Settings), the Flyer will detect the keyboard. Go ahead and opt to pair them and the Flyer will prompt you with a dialog box to enter a PIN generated by the bluetooth keyboard. Problem is, the OK key on the dialog prompt is grayed out and it looks like you can't enter the PIN.
Just go ahead and type the PIN in using the bluetooth keyboard and then press the Enter key on the bluetooth keyboard. The two will be paired up and you only need to do this once. After that, every time the Flyer and the bluetooth keyboard are switched on, they will find each other without a hitch.
Btw the Samsung tab does not fit the Flyer perfectly. You need to cut out a small part so that you can see the menu buttons on the Flyer in horizontal mode. You also need to cut out a small part for the Flyer's front camera to be usable. Finally, widen the hole at the back of the case for the Flyer's camera.
All of these if done carefully will let the Samsung case retain it's handsome good looks. I got mine at Thinkgeek dot com for only $25 - on sale! If you look around at the various Samsung Tab bluetooth keyboard cases, most of them are actually made by the same manufacturer, just sold by different brands. Try not to pay too much for the same thing when another seller may have it on sale or offer it cheaper.

Mirroring Galaxy note help!

Hello,
Im trying to create a larger size galaxy note for a class project, would anyone be able to help me?
Basically I want to export the Note to portrait mode on to a Vertical screen, anyone have any ideas?
I was thinking of a tv that has portrait mode.
Do you have an MHL adaptor? I use my note many times to give a lecture sending the note screen to an LCD projector.
I also set my note under a doc cam and project that too.
If you only want a static picture take a picture of your note and print it on plastic transparancy film and use an overhead projector.
Or take the picture to Kinkos FedEx and they will print a poster.

Hi ranger,
thanks for the reply, I do have an MHL adapter and it does export properly. Basically I have to recreate the phone as it it was standing in portrait mode while have the same functionality as you were to look at a working demo while making the tv vertical. (refer to pic) Once it works im thinking of putting a frame over to make it look like the actual phone. Im think I would need a tv that's capable of a vertical display.
A large monitor is more like it.
You can use a wii remote control to make the monitor behave like a touch screen.

the main challenge is running the phone in portrait mode while the screen is vertical.
most of the time it will look like this
Some monitors can rotate. I don't know that a tv can.
Notice you said we can use a wiimote with the Note to make the tv behave like a touch screen? would you mind explaining how I can achieve that? I currently have my ps3 remote working with it, but it isn't the greatest for navigating the interface

I think that has to do with the can bus decoder from your navi. I own a Vw-group car and cannot see anymore the song names / radio station names in the "red screen" (fis) of my car.
I think more/less info can be seen depending on what car you have. No additional application to solve this, afaik
Its handled by the MCU which interfaces with the CAN Bus system, but support is very limited, you have a Mazda 3 ? Not sure its supported.
yeah have a mazda 6 2009, hmm wish there was a way
Have you tried all CAN Bus options in factory settings ? Including non mazda ones ?
you mean the different vehicles manufacturers?, i have tried all the ones with mazda but then there is no where to modify what comes on the MDU
I know, I was just suggesting you try them all in case one worked better. You could try and modify the app somehow so it shows something different, but that would require some coding knowledge, theres more info in the original thread about which app and stuff (its the same app for all cars and it appears or disappears depending on what vehicle manufactuer you have chosen in factory settings/CAN Bus) and youd have to spend some time searching the thread to find it.
ive tried decompliling the radio apk and looking into it but cannot find anything
I guess youd have to know what code to look for and what code the car uses as well.
do you know anyone who could have a look?
Not really, you could try other XDA members in the MTCB section, like @agentdr8. Try googling it, I ve deffo seen something on youtube about setting the clock on the Mazda 3 with MTCB headunits.
I had an EONON radio in my mazda 3 2008 it had an canbus interface, and the mdu display got new text modes messages beceause of that ?? cant recall where i saw the mdu protocol decoded and explained.

There are no EONON radios, EONON are only sellers, what unit was it ?
You mean MCU protocol or CAN Bus protocol for Mazda 3 ? I think you mean MCU protocol - its been decoded and was posted on XDA a few years back.
it was the d5151 i think, it was an windows ce based radio, it had the canbus adapter option, and a direct fit to the mazda dash, the only problem was the bottom snaps were not strong enough to retain the radio firmly to the dash center panel, when hitting road bumps, the radio simply unsnap himself, there was only 2 top screws ???
It added new displayed settings in the mazda car display. But i sold the car 1 month later, have'nt tried all the options.

Does your head unit have a two-way CAN bus? This would be the +/- CAN wires going into the actual unit as opposed to just the decoder module. If it's like the CAN SWC, it may need these to send data to the vehicle. Of course, this is assuming the radio app even communicates song info to the CAN app, which I would be surprised if it did.
