Who has the best shift carrying bag? - Shift Accessories

I've had my shift for a few months now and I haven't bought a shoulder bag for it yet only because I was looking around for a particular bag, something like a gun holster that would fit right underneath the arm. Unfortunately, they don't make holsters like this for the shift (they should because I would buy one haha).
So I'm here asking what type of bag are you guys using with your shift? Links, pictures, experiences would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

Ladies might like this one: Coach Planner. It fits perfectly inside once you remove the address book. Use velcro dots to keep it in place.

Why not custom make to your own leather bag , just go to your own local leather makers , u can choose the type of leather - soft , thick , color , finishing , also the design - holster , shoulder , backpack , hand carry , pockets , any design u want . U will be surprised how nice it will look and also it will fits your daily usages with it . It may cost a bit more or double - depends on the design , material and so on , but it is worth it because it is the only one in this world ! So be brave and explore this , thks and best rgds - jimmunsw

Similar to my other thread, what about the case, do you guys found any good case that you are going to use with the Shift?
New Case available
I have just found out that there is a new case for Htc Shift, a well known leather company, the down side for me is i am actually looking for a case that will flip open so the Shift stay inside the case all time. here is the link: http://www.pielframa.net/htc_shift.asp
A new case here : http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=yJp5pS7Ou3I
Since when do you have a shift Mr McDoPDA?
I like the one that comes with it

I second that :-D
Although a case in a different (more personalized) colour would be nice.
Where can I buy the case that McDoPDA just showed?
It looks quite nice although I personally prefer not to keep additional SIM cards in the same case (in case of theft etc.)

I don't care for the hanging style case with colored stripes in the video, but the other case.....
The HTC SHIFT Horizontal Leather case is more of what I am looking for.
It looks like site is not for retail purchasing

I have e-mail them ans ask whether we can get the case individually, if that's not possible, depends on how many people here want that case, I can negotiate a wholesale deal and sell it back to you all. Now just need to wait for their reply first.
Count me in for one.
I am not too sure whether an enclosed case is a good idea. My shift gets quite hot and has crashed before now due to everheating. I wonder whether thats the reason it is designed to be removed from the pouch. I have used either an Orbit or a laptop for a few years and I am a bit self conscious about the standard case that comes with the shift as it looks a little bit like a ladies purse. Maybe, I need to get a bit more in touch with my feminine side.

LOL I was thinking the same thing about the pouch case. To me also it looks to much like a ladies purse or in my case "a man's bag"
That is the main reason I am looking for replacement not because the orginal case is not good quality it is but because it reminds me of a womans hand bag.
Hi I would be interested in the horizontal one, for the right price?
HTC SHIFT Horizontal Leather case
Hi ALL, I have contacted them and got the reply, they can't sell it to individual, so the only solution is wholesale, minimun order is 50 unit, each will cost 35 pounds without shipping. If there are enough people who want this case, i can arrange the wholesales, otherwise i guess we will just have to wait....
so drop your e-mail down if you wish to buy one and we will see
Hi!
I'll be interested but to tell you the truth I would also consider a case that can take the charger and usb hub as well.....
anything out there?
I'd like that case as well.

The P6500 has a bit rounded backsight, so if u tap on the display the HTC waggles. Is this problem solved with the PielFrama?

I finally found & bought one of these from PDAir
They do two or three of them but this one was what I was after, just something to carry it around & clip on me belt
I have one of the ones that kwburress wrote about and found it to be an excellent piece of workmanship, but, I also found that PDAir have some aluminium cases which are handy as well. Thanks to both Prospro and kwburress for their input...

Belt clip/holster for the Shift?

Is there a belt holster for the Shift?
Thanks for making my day buddy.
I got a good laugh.
Not that you can't or shouldn't have this monster attached to your hip I just think it would look pretty funny.
Actually it is not a bad idea to custom make one from your local leather shop , choose your own material , color , design , pockets , and then ask the maker to do a holster stlye case for u , it's unique - one in the world and most importantly , it will suits your daily working enviroment and usages . Don't care about what others say or think , just be practical and leather is the best material there is - no other is more classier than it . I don't care others staring at me when i answer my calls on speaker phone holding my shift slide closed with one hand , well it is definitely the largest wm phone device there is u can find and hold ! Ha ha ha cheers and best regards - jimmunsw
you canbuy some of thoes passport belt bags etc used for trips and have shift in it.

DYI Case for G TABLET

After looking for a case endlessly and having to protect it somehow from scratches.. I made a little case for my G Tablet. If I had a sewing machine it would look a lot cleaner. But, I had to sew by hand which I am very bad at.
Overall this case is working perfect for me!
In case you're interested.. Here is how I did it:
I bought a folder "Padfolio" from my local CVS.
Since I cannot post a link at this time. Just go to CVS website and search for
" Mead - Padfolio, 12-1/2 X 9-1/2-Inches " you'll see the folder I used.
Then I cut it down to size. I had to cut about 1" on the sides and top off.
After you cut it, trim the cardboard filler that is in the middle about 1/8 of an inch. Then sew it shut!
I used velcro to attach the tablet to the folder and it has held very nicely and firm. I bought "Scotch " brand velcro at Autozone, but I have seen it at Home Depot and Radio Shack as well.
I used a little piece from the left overs I cut out and made that little flap to keep the case closed. (I used velcro to attach it to the case, again it is holding very well.)
So there it goes. With a little patience and time and hopefully access to a sewing machine you can make your own!
Hope you enjoyed
P.S. I couldn't fix the title of post lol its DIY not DYI

Thanks for sharing,
But starting with a $15 folder + adding time + resources + skills .. don't you agree that spending $20 for tested and proven amazon case is a more viable option.
Just my 2 cents.
Yeah I'm going to check out that one from Amazon. After seeing the pics, I don't like how that one closes with the G Tablet. It seems kind of forced.
I also like the USB Keyboard combination case that's customized for the G Tablet. I ordered one of those for $25
real leather case

I too am a case maker. Curious how your attaching your tablets to the case. I've tried tubibg to make clips, elastic on the corners and even embedded neodyiums in the tablet sides. Haven't decided which way to go long term yet, but trying new ideas is where I have most of my fun

Waist/Hip/Thigh Pouch for the SGT 7.7?

Hey people,
Been trying to get a sleek waist/hip/thigh pouch to put my SGT 7.7 and some other small stuff (wallet, p&s camera etc).
Been carrying my Timbuk2 Messenger but it is really quite big and uncomfortable.
Any one has any recommendation for a waist/hip/thigh pouch that works?
My SGT is already in a ROCK case, but if the pouch has a seperate compartment (like the Timbuk2) to store the SGT, that would be great!

Something like the above two examples but don't know how it fits...
This is what I'm using. Got it as a gift from some family in Italy. More of a man-purse than a hip pouch, but I love it anyway. Wonderful construction and quality, though there are some metal logo's on the inside, so I keep my 7.7 inside of a microfiber protective sheath while inside the whole bag itself. Other than that, it's the perfect size for the 7.7, and there's plenty of room for other stuff like wallet and accessories.

Holy crap Jade Eyed Wolf, I clicked your link with the tab's built-in browser & it went into an endless reloading cycle between roncato.com and roncato.com/mobile. I did, at the start, quickly see the full URL.

As in original post I used the tab's built-in browser. Oddly, just tried again and it worked. Also, no problem in Dolphin browser. Must have been a momentary spasm.
BTW, nice bag. It looks high quality.
