Here is my favorite Phone Pad version with my new skin.
I made a new skin for PhonePad-Dark-International, because this is the only one PhonePad version which is working perfectly on my non-HTC VGA device and the original skin quite ugly.
Works perfect together with TouchBack v1.0 if you like vibrating button pressing!
My VGA and QVGA versions contain these T9 dictionaries:
English - German - French - Italian - Spanish - Portuguese - Czech - Danish - Dutch - Finnish - Hungarian - Norwegian - Polish - Romanian - Slovak - Swedish - Turkish - Greek - Russian
Installation:
1. Uninstall previous PhonePad/IntelliPad versions
2. Soft-reset
3. Install PhonePad v1.0-International QVGA/VGA-Raulka.cab to device
enjoy
Store new words in T9 dictionaries:
Use regular "ab" button. When text is full click on the text to make it enter the field. Now the T9 has learned your new word until next soft-reset. If you want to really store new words, just change SIP before you do a soft-reset!
Or use DictMgr.cab from post #37 (Thx to mooooooa)!

I have an opinion... could you make a QVGA version?
I need a dark skin for phonepad since phonepad as for you its the only version working on my non HTC device and I cant find any other T9 keyboards

If the QVGA version would be a simple resizing work I had this work yet. But the graphics ratio aren't same between VGA and QVGA.. So this is not an hourly work..
If VGA users will be satisfied with my PhonePad version, I will reworking in QVGA, but at this time nothing feedback for me..
Edit: Maybe tomorrow I will be make a simple downsized QVGA version. If this will be beautiful too, than I will upload QVGA version.

QVGA version uploaded! I can't testing because I've only a VGA device so if you tried please reply me!
I only resized VGA graphics with B-Spline. I hope working good and nice in QVGA too...

I just downloaded,and what i was looking for is not exact the phonepad.NOOOO!!it is fantastic in one hand,but what i needed is the T9 abilty on keyboard on HTC devices.Can I extract this feauture from your app?Or can I find it somewhere working together with my screen keyboard on HTC 3G?
I miss T9 on it!But I love vito and the magnafy able kezboard.

Yeah,
Its been working sweet as a nut on my Kaiser!!
I always preferred this sip to any other as its probably one of the only ones you REALLY can use on the go!! Was running a version of this I found that was skinned to look like the diamond key pad, but this is just tops!! Visually and functionally!!!

didnt test it yet but looks awesome and i love to see it support multi languages (Arabic, german, etc) more skins (colors will be great too)

After I finished new version of my HS++ theme, I will check the T9 dictionaries and the VGA and QVGA releases will contain same dicts.
Maybe 1-2 weeks.

I don't know this is free or not. I found the original versions in this forum, so I think this is free.
lovely application and orks perfectly...however if could critisize i would do the buttons bit bigger especially the space button

It's weird that HTC repeats itself and didn't add support for national characters into Hero's "T9" dialer. It's the same problem that old HTC Dialpad on WinMo has (in 2004??)
For example Č=C=Ć, Š=S, Ž=Z... I tried all available dialers on the market and they are english only too. I really don't want to to rename my contacts
Is there any way to modify character map so I can add letters to each key? (this was possible with old HTC Dialpad on WinMo by tweaking some dll)

Hello everyone, I am having an issue with Custom Locale application on modaco's 2.2 rom.
What I want to do is, keep the English menus but also have the option for Greek keyboard. Now, there is a locale that changes both menus and keyboard to Greek so the Greek keyboard is there.
Although, when I select the locale for English menus and Greek keyboard(en_GR) it doesn't work, they are both English. Is there a way to modify the locales so I can achieve what I am looking for?
P.S: I also tried adding the locales from inside the application but that didn't work.
Anyone got a solution to this? If no, how can I contact the author of Custom Locale application?

I am having the same problem with hero , plus when i change to Gr locale dictionary prediction doesn't work for Greek input. enGr doesn't work either(i want to have english menu with a greek alternative keyboard language aswell). What i haven't tested yet though is insert a sim from a Greek mobile provider ,reset my phone and don't highlight the English option in the beginning.Just wait for a a couple of minutes and check if you have the greek input.
Have you guys figured out how to do it or no joy yet?
I'm also interested in having an English menu with a Greek keyboard for messaging (with predictive text preferably).

I am trying to solve this issue but with no luck till now. My contacts are in Greek. I use randomaccess so that when I go to contacts (telephone>all people) the black bar on the right is displaying greek letters. In order for this to work manila language must be set to Greek. If it is set to any other language, randomaccess displays the latin alphabet. Is there something I can do in order to use my phone in English (manila language English) and the bar in contacts in Greek?

I have a canadian version of the S9+ and I want to change the display language
I go to General Management-Language and Input-Language.
There I have some suggested languages and I have the option to add other languages
so I select to add a new language.
For example I select Greek and then I put it at the top.
After that I see that the phone is half translated.
Some of the icons i.e contacts, phone, calendar are translated in Greek but the most important
the Settings is not translated apart 2-3 options.
Just to be sure I delete English and I leave Greek as the only display language and again nothing.
The phone is not fully translated and espeically the settings.
I change the language to German.
I have the same result. Some options in Settings are translated in German but the rest remains in english.
Then I select french.
It seems French is ok. All settings are translated and all basic icons.
Is there a fix for that?
Why do I have half translated display languages?
Do I need to add a special code where the phone will start clean in that particular language?
