A new version (v1.1) is now online. Check the download below!
What's new:
Over 100% more performance (framerate is now twice as high)
Because of that the motion is much more fluid
The model is a little bigger, so there's more boobs
The model/texture has been optimized an fixed little
Latest News (v1.2):
A new version (v1.2) is now online. Check the download below!
What's new:
Added lots of details to the model, improved lighting and doubled the texture's resolution (see new screenshot)
Almost doubled the G-Sensor sensitivity for a better wobbling experience
By the way: if you like hdBoobs you can buy me a beer if you want

Zepiii This application is diffrent. If you can't see this, it's time to buy glasses

Good news everyone!
A new version is already in development, featuring:
+ Improved Physics: now the app is more sensitive to shaking rather than tilting your phone. Also the sensitivity will be higher, so that smaller moves have greater effect -> Look and feel is much better!
+ Improved performance (maybe not noticable, but I kicked out 10% of useless code )
+ A new texture (still I'm no artist, but I'm doing my best)
+ Some minor fixes not worth mentioning...
It'll be hopefully be done by the end of the week. Thanks for your support!

Sounds great! Thanks!

I think i'm gonna vote it as the best app of the year.
good job.

what kind of programs do u use to create the model?

Or simply explain it, instead of being arrogant?
For myself, i don't see anything except a picture, where it looks like moving boobs i suppose by shaking them, like in hdWobble?

@Zepiii: Maybe you should get those glasses after all
hdWobble is image based, meaning totally 2D. hdBoobs is fully 3D and based on OpenGL.
@haunterx:
I used the 30day Trial of Autodesk 3dStudio Max.
By the way:
Work on the final release is going well. The new physics engine feels much better and is a lot more responsive. Also the texture looks a little better now...stay tuned!

Hey guys!
I read that there problems with the TouchHD? Sadly I don't have one to check that out...
Could you post about your experience? (heard something about chunky movement)
Also some people reported that there are "some errors now and then". Did you have them too? What exactly was the problem?
I'm counting on your input! All bugs you report will be fixed in the next Version, I promise

Works great on my HD with 6.5 Miri V18

works good on my HD too, wm6.1 21051 superlite
btw, i think you should increase polygons twice at least.. and maybe show full model if one want?
maybe 3d model loader?
and please add the option to change the most important forms (i mean wireframe editor)
you know, 3dvilla will show you how it all ends

A new version (1.1) is available. You can install it right over the old version.
Now the performance is twice as high
Check out the first post for more information!

Very funny !!!
Is there any chance that we could modify the gravity, friction, boobs size values ?

@zeer:
I don't think doubling the polygon count would be a good idea. The framerate is low enough. At least my phone couldn't handle it...
And a wireframe editor? On a mobile phone?? Are you serious???
If you want to create a cool model take 3dsMax, and mail it to me. I'll include it it in the app ASAP.
@gagvas:
Modifying the boob size would be difficult since this is part of the 3d model. So a new model would be neccessary...
All the physics parameters will be outsourced to a config file sooner or later. So maybe you'll be able to fiddle around with them in the next release.

I think the sensitivity could be a little bit higher, as it is quite hard to "move" the boobs .

i have some *3d models* available if you need...

A new version is online with great improvements. See front page for more details...
@haunterx:
Sounds interesting! What have you got?

Augmented Reality Games / Apps

In this thread i am going to collect all available applications and games which work with augmented reality, especially on mobile phones.
What is Augmented reality? I will try a little explanation:
Its a method to combine the (live)view of a camera with computergraphics, animations and information.
It normally uses markers, which can be detected by the camerasoftware and then used to project any graphical object on it.
The markers can be moved and the projected object will follow it.
To get a better idea, have a look at these videos:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lfp8id6bpDU&feature=related
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVlBFNg823M
The technology itself is not new, its already known and used since a few years. But there exist only very few usable appplications or games with it.
So here is a list with applications
AR Zoo:
http://www.imagination.at/downloads/Handheld_AR/AR_Zoo/index.php
It works on my htc touch hd.
It is a bit slow but its cool to see. It even works with my pc screen as marker

Hey that's real cool, didn't know people made these games for the ppc . Would be nice to be able to play The Journeyman Project on my ppc.
Very nice, works on the nike too.

Amazing!
This looks great!
I'll see if it works with the Polaris (Touch Cruise)!
This works on my Qtek 8310 (as it is the phone used in their samples) and on the tytn2 (but the video lags a lot)
This is really neat stuff. The Zoo demo worked on my HTC Touch.
I found another demo on the same site: http://www.imagination.at/downloads/Handheld_AR/HCCB/
yes but the second demo is not that spectacular, just a walking viking.
i have seeen that augmented reality has a very interesting and wide spectrum of possible applications. one of them ( i know, only for iphone, but maybe someone can develop it on winmo) is wikitude http://www.mobilizy.com/wikitude.php
And a very cool game for my linux machine i have to try is levelhead
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ks1u0A8xdU
This freaky guy has a lot of similar interesting things on his website (this may be interesting for some developers?)
http://www.csc.kth.se/~alx/
i will tell you if i found more interesting things for our mobiles. maybe others find something too?
Wow, thanks for bringing this to our attention. That's one of the coolest things I've seen in a while!
Yeah.. now I feel so outdated.. Never knew these kind of stuff existed.
I thought this was only in some SF writer's mind
I listened to a short story series recently from Audible called "Metatropolis" and one of the stories involved the use of augmented reality goggles to superimpose objects onto the landscape, constructing an alternative society for those who could "see". I thought the idea was cool, but I never realized how close we are.
and it will all become funnier with these
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EyeTap
any news? has someone found something?
it would be really cool if someone ports the wikitude or an similar application to our windows mobile devices!!! anyone out there? i am willing to spend 5$ for the start
Zoo don't work on my HD...
cant make it run on my toshiba g900...

1080p working on "lg camera" from market with updating observations

ATRIX users, check this camera app out. It has 1080p working. I will post more results when I do more testing of the app for smoothness and ability to work well. There is a paid version and a free version. My phone is stock gingerbread and it works.
Observations:
Colors are richer
Recording choppy, but playback not as much
Will do more observations.

yup its been noted to work with 2.2 as well. choppy though.

Mostly during the recording of it. The playback is smoother than recording.
Sent from my Atrix 4G with XDA Premium App
Same 10 sec static image with no audio. You will see the file sizes for D3 and lg are very close. The lgcamera app timer is running too fast, hence it showing only an actual 9-1/2 secs in GSpot, when I was closer to 10-1/2 seconds using the apps timer. Playback of both videos on a 24" 1080p monitor was crap for both samples, so I am not convinced anyone has yet given us true hardware/firmware supported 1080p on the Atrix. My position is that it will take a dev to do some serious work, or Moto to release an update which gives true support. If 1080p were this easy to get on the Atrix, Moto would have done it at release.
<edit> Notice the D3 is running at 31fps. I haven't verified if this is consistent across multiple samples.
<edit 2> After reading the OP again, I would say I noticed no difference in colour, clarity, etc., between either video samples.

I have no video lag or delay. But will put up on plasma flatscreen to check. I have sound
Sent from my Atrix 4G with XDA Premium App
The reason I don't use sound to test is because sound is unpredictable, and can make a big difference to file size. Similarily I take video with a static image so that I have the best chance of reproducing the same results multiple times. If you video moving objects and/or pan and scan, your bit rate changes a lot, and again you will never achieve like results. I do pan and scan to test for jitter, etc., but not to pull data from for comparisons.
On another note, how does the audio sound through an external source?
I have not checked this with the camcorder at all yet.
I am interested to see how it performs at concerts. I have seen a couple of videos of concert footage, and the audio doesn't seem too bad.
it work in my 2.3.4 with custom rom too

I would normally agree with you here, but with the leaked LTE Atrix 2, I have a feeling they're not going to include it just because that will give you another reason to go to the Atrix 2. It's very possible with our hardware, and software shouldn't matter too much (hell, if LG can do it, anyone can). I honestly think we've been shafted. With that said, my D3 Camera with build prop edits does make files that are much larger than the 720p counterparts. I don't have a 1080p display to test it on, but when I stop stills they do look more crisp (which is really the only reason to use 1080p for me [that said, maybe it's just the placebo effect]).

I would tend to agree with you here, if the leaked MB865 is indeed the Atrix 2. If it does happen to be so, Motorola will never see another red cent from me after this. I like the Atrix, but if they are about to release a 2nd derivative of this phone so soon, then this proves they knew all along while they were developing it that we would not get all that was promised on the MB860.
Tried it on my HDTV
I tried it on my Samsung HDTV and the monitor indicated the video was 1080x1920. Picture looked good to me.
Note: I did have to go into settings on entertainment center and check that I wanted 1080 playback if file was recorded higher than 720.

[DISCUSSION] Let's Talk Bootdroid

Obviously we are all Android lovers right?
But as I was skimming around one of the general Android forums, I came upon a thread that was talking about something called "Bootdroid." Assuming that this is not fake, Bootdroid allows you to dual boot Android and iOS 5.
I'm going to be honest, being able to boot into iOS 5 on an Android device seems pretty interesting to me. Booting into (a jailbroken) iOS also means being able to use iOS apps that aren't found in the Play Store. Also, buying those expensive iOS devices won't be a problem because you would now be able to take a cheaper Android device, such as the O1, and boot iOS on it.
Probably the only reason why I would choose iOS over Android (other than the apps) is because of how Android lags due to how it renders the UI:
https://plus.google.com/100838276097451809262/posts/VDkV9XaJRGS
I would guess that our phone's hardware can probably run iOS smoothly given the specs of an iPhone. While the iPhone has a stronger CPU (1GHz Cortex-A9 compared to our 600Mhz ARM11) and a stronger GPU, both the iPhone and the O1 have 512 MB RAM. Also, on the project page, it says that iOS works well on the Motorola Droid, which has a 600Mhz CPU and 256MB RAM.
What's cool about this Bootdroid is that according to the blogspot below:
Android devices that have screen resolutions that are lower than 960x640, or if you can divide the resolution 960x640 by an integer to equal your current devices resolution, then it will likely be more compatible with the iOS 5 firmware and the pixels will be less diluted.

Of course, if Bootdroid is fake, this would all just be wishful thinking. But it seems pretty legit to me:
http://code.google.com/p/bootdroid/
https://github.com/Peter42/BootDroid
http://bootdroid.blogspot.com/
What are your thoughts?
Interesting, this would actually benefit us because of the many things in iOS, but then again, Android is awesome. I hope this isn't a fake like the other ones i've seen because it would be pretty sweet to have Android and iOS dual-boot
Looks really cool.... but our O1 resolution is not in proportion to 960x640

Actually it is
Isn't our phone 480x320? We can divide 960x640 by 2 to get the resolution of the O1.
This is one of those few times where having a smaller resolution comes in handy. Good luck to those who have 480x800

oh OK...I thought the other way...I thought that the proportion between length and width should be the same... like 480 is 1.33 times of 320 but the same is not the case with 960x640..
and what about phones with hd display...

Well luckily for us, our phone's resolution is proportional to that of the iPhone. For higher-end phones with a greater resolution (such as 480x800), it's going to be hard to resize everything
Gotta be nice

I thought the project was at a standstill, but it looks like there is some activity going on. If you check out the blogspot, every previous post seems to be deleted. The only post shows a smiley face with the title "Copyright Infringement: Part II" and the words "The Battle has begun. We'll be back soon." I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing, but at least something is happening

I actually lolled at that one
However, iPhone 2G and 3G have HVGA display so iOS running on the O1 doesn't seem impossible. Just hope that they based it on iOS 2/3/4 and not 5.
But the HVGA variants (screens have 480×320 pixels (3:2 aspect ratio), 480×360 pixels (4:3 aspect ratio), 480×272 (~16:9 aspect ratio) or 640×240 pixels (8:3 aspect ratio)) doesn't include 640x960.
But I'd love to get iOS on my phone especially because of uber smooth scrolling.
Now it says that he's meeting with his lawyer and the website should be running normally in the next few days
Guys you have been talking about resolutions and things. But i think it should be least of our worries . being the Orwellian philosophy that apple follows, will it be possible to hack and slash it up to our needs. of course its our wet dream but the hardware support, kernels all these things- it Wiil definitely be some time before the greatest devs figure it all out.
I'm sincerely not saying this in derogatory sense, just giving you guys some perspectives.
______
A newbie here
Android is laggy because it had no UI hw acceleration on GB... now ICS is soooo smooth

Modified drivers with full OpenGL support?

I am vaguely interested in a nexus 9, but the driver gimping is a non starter. I do play some Tegra optimized games, and frankly I refuse to give them up because of Google handiwork. I was considering this device as an alternative to the shield tablet, but if this issue can't be fixed I'm going to stick with nvidia's offering. FYI I do already own the shield tablet, I was just considering a switch due to issues I've been having.
I too am interested in making this possible. Pretty frackin pissed at google for disabling something the hardware supports for no reason. Nvidia has it working for the shield tablet so you know the drivers and libraries are available and it would be a simple task for then to enable.
I don't know where its disabled or what all would have to be done/tried to make it work. I have complained on both Nvidias and googles forums. Currently waiting for nvidia to release the full factory images for lollipop for the shield tablet to try compare + copy files. I'm no developer but may have to learn how to compile kernels and build Roms to properly try and overcome this.
Anyone who has more knowledge of the ins and outs of linking libGL.so and such that can offer any insight on where to poke around or start would be greatly appreciated!

it would be much better if we had 1st party support instead of porting it over from the Nvidea shield. but its a start i guess.
Do you have the links were you complained to Google and Nvidea maybe if enough people complain they will do something about it.

These are all the places where I found any other information about our problem and trying to raise attention to it.
Latest response from someone at nvidia in the 2nd nvidia link above...
"Hi, Users
The K1 Chip does support OpenGL 4.4 and CUDA from the hardware side. The problem is that HTC made the device and Google controlled the software for that device.*
For Nexus 9, using AEP (Android Extension Pack) you can still achieve a lot graphics boost on K1 as using the modern OpenGL APIs."
So it sounds to me like google are the ones that left full GL 4.4 out. We need to petition google to have it enabled and included in future releases.
The Antutu benchmark for 3d graphics is really close between the Shield and Nexus 9. The N9 doesn't seem gimped in this regard. Is there some specific opengl functionality that was left out but doesn't show up in this benchmark?
What's really odd are the CPU performance numbers for the N9 in Antutu. I have a hard time believing the results, as the numbers seem unusually low.

Yeah they removed a ton of functionality that can speed up applications, as well as breaking compatibility with a ton of existing apps. The android extension pack is a garbage replacement and is google's apparent reasoning for removing OpenGl support. Also benchmarks should be taken with a grain of salt anyways. They are garbage for real world use.

Still worth buying a Nexus 9?

So guys, I would like to buy my first tablet, and i'm indecised between shield k1 and Nexus 9, I was also thinking about the galaxy tab s2 9.7 but it's too pricey for what it offers IMHO. I'll use the tab mainly for media consumption (heavy games, browsing, movies, emails).
From I first started researching infos about the Nexus 9 it's immediatly appeared all the frequent issues that comes with this device (Light bleed and unoptimized performance) but all these things were related to the Lollipop version of android, and now with the Marshmallow/N version seems better, so this is my question: it's still worth to buy this device? Does the performance are really fixed now or there still many cases of lag/crashes (as appear to me)?
I really like "+1 inch size" than the shield but seems this device is just heavily compromised (as performace), and all these things are leading me to buy the Shield K1. As a final note, I like to use stock android version, and seems that with the Nexus 9 the real game change comes when you install a new ROM, do you confirm this?
Any input will be appreciated, so don't be afraid

Personally, as much as I adore my n9, I'd probably go k1. I prefer the size of the n9, the 4:3, great devs, and in hand feel. Other than that though, Google dropped the ball with Vulcan, and nVidia has been going great with updates.
I'm also interested in Lenovos new tablets.
@jimmix93 do yourself a favor and get a pixel c. It is worth the 100-150 dollars extra imo.

TBH, i'm in love with google pixel C, but I can only find it on Ebay on a very high price, not lower than 650 $, so that's why I choosed these two tablets, espcially the K1 for it's price.

Mee too i'm interested, but I don't think they will be at same level (as raw power) as K1 or Nexus 9. We'll see
I got mine off swapa for $200 a few months ago. personally I think it's still a relevant device. Turning encryption off, and a kernel with 2amp charging really helps. It takes out the frustration. Most complaints about the device come down to speed and charging.
Not over clocked my AnTuTu benchmark awhile ago on pre-released 7 was 101k. Remix 3 was around 95. On official N (no encryption, oc) getting 107k. My point is behind the benchmarks is it's keeping up with the devices still out there, and they're the only way to show over the Internet that it doesn't feel slow.

Personally I have the N9, my son the Nvidia, so I can compare...
When you want to stay 'standard' (no tweaking / custom ROM/Kernel) , buy the Shield. Standard out of the box working very well.
When you are not afraid to root, tweak en flash.... Buy the N9. Out of the box I was not satisfied about the snappiness and use custom kernels to fullfil it.
Suc6 choosing ?
