Here goes,
I gave it a go and started cooking.
Please bear with me, its my first ROM, but should be good and stable.
Requirements: HardSPL

Safest way to flash is using SD Card:
THE WAY TO FLASH A ROM USING THE SC-CARD (also tnhx to jiwei1984):
1. Make sure you have HARDSPL installed (soon...).
2. Format the sd-card to FAT32 (if not already).
3. Copy the ROM (.nbh) to the root of the sd-card and rename it to topaimg.nbh.
4. Bring the device into bootloader: press and hold Volume-down button and then Power button.
5. Confirm the question to upgrade.
6. Wait for upgrade to finish and enjoy...

dutty Now I'm deep inside the RGU files from Trinity. Some interesting findings: 1. HKLM\Comm\Security\SystemCertificates\Privileged Execution Trust Authorities - maybe we can put needed certificates into this branch for an automatic start of Trinity DLLs (another choice is to find the differences between RGU file and Hermes registry - who knows maybe there are some special certificates in Trinity's testing ROM?) I will check it later. 2. In RGU file there is the registry branch HKLM\Drivers\RegisteredDevice\BTD_COM9. I cannot find it in registry of my Hermes. I will try to add it and will see what happens next. Added: After adding this entry and soft reset I'm able to start COM9 manually (as you remember I was not able to start it during last 2 days) !!! 3. \HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\QCTUSB_PCD9 In Hermes registry I have this branch empty. In Trinity RGU file there are some keys inside this branch: Dll="QCTUSB.DLL" Prefix="PCD" Index=9 DeviceArrayIndex=5 Tsp="Unimodem.dll" Order=3 DeviceType=0 FriendlyName="Virtual PCD9" DevConfig=20,00,00,00,05,00,00,00,10,01,00,00,00,4B,00,00,00,00,08,00,00,00,00,00,00 And SOMETHING INTERESTING: \HKLM\Software\Microsoft\RIL\DataPort="PCD9:" (In Hermes registry this key refers to "PCD1:") Maybe this is what we looking for? It looks like "virser_port" that you are looking...
In the registry of my Herm200 (Vario II, T-Mobile radio ROM, no Trinity radio flashed), HKLM\Drivers\RegisteredDevice\BTD_COM9 points to btd.dll, flags =0, index=9, pefix is COM. On my Hermes, \HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\QCTUSB_PCD9 has the same values as you found in the Trinity RGU file. \HKLM\Software\Microsoft\RIL\DataPort="PCD9:" is indeed pointing to PCD1 on my Hermes. It seems to me that the first two reg keys are identical to the original ones on my Hermes, only the contents of the .dll files may or may not differ between Trinity and Hermes. edit: I did a search in my registry and found this in HKLM\Drivers\Active\63 HND=Dword 305664 decimal Key=System/CurrentControlset/GPSIntermediateDriver/Multiplexer/ActiveDevice. Does this key point to the GPS Driver that works between the GPS and the OS? How is this in the trinity reg dump? Hmmm, I looked at it, it points to the GPSID.dll file. not much help I am afraid. let me know if I can help in any way.

UPDATE2: GPS DLL's are signed; GPS device now starts automatically UPDATE3: signed unimodem.dll and cellcore.dll; phone still functions with these installed UPDATE4: signed serial_cmd.dll; this makes my device white-out and die... can someone find out what DLL's this one depends on so I can load it without crashing

Click to collapse yes the hermes implements the gps intermediate driver, with some small adjustments you can keep those entries.. not sure what they were, i have to check.. gpsid is the driver that implements the microsoft gpsapis that oyu can use in .net for example (check the tool i compiled in c#) from the looks of everything, it really looks like they just crippled out some functions to make the hermes a non gps device.. i'm sure there were some protoypes with gps enabled..
elementary my dear friend You might recall I posted something that allows you to disable the security on your PDA; this application also allows you to provision developer certificates on your PDA as well. Basically, I provisioned the certs onto it, and then used signtool.exe (if you go to the file menu on the security program then it'll show you what folder it needs to be in) to sign the DLL files and plopped them on my PDA with Resco. seems to be a massive breakthrough since ril.dll (and pretty much everything else) works perfectly and automatically though this method. P.S: get the signtool.exe off Google; there's a Codeproject website that has it.

Click to collapse yeah.. thats the "security configuration manager".. it just wont work for me .. weird.. i have attached a file package, can you check if you can sign files with this? it even contains the proper certificate, copy it to your wince device and execute the cert.

dutty Your tool is working for me. Successfully signed files with warning message "No timestamp". You could attach other files you got from Trinity rom If this tool is not working for you. I will sign all of them and attach them back.

Checked it right now. The same problem with me. I found a problem in your signing tool. For an option "-spc" in the BAT file you should use SPC certificate (not CER). There is a tool in MS SDK for converting CER to SPC: "cert2spc cert1.cer [cert2.cer … certN.cer] outputSPCfile.spc" Do you have this tool? Can you post it here?

Or just translate the CHS 0.4 to CHT is much faster to solve the problem ?

Just Installed Today I have become increasingly dissatisfied with the speed of my TP...it just lags to eternity and has made the phone a total nightmare to use. So bad...i have seriously considered getting an Iphone (And i truly hate Apple) I have just installed this ROM and first impressions are very good, it is sooooo much faster! Hopefully this will save my hair falling out!

Just install NaviComputer, BlackMe and you are all set to go. NaviCumputer can download maps and store in sd card. It can also keep phone on for continuous GPS. Then you can use blackme to switch off screen. On side note, 178 downloads of the ROM. Thanks guys for trying this out. Please post here if you are keeping this ROM. I will try to keep it updated (in sync with TP5 ROMs).

None of the following symbols via Fn-combinations work: ü,ä,ö,€,ß,£ I have tried the fix suggested in your first post but it didn't work. Also tried every registry setting i could find but nothing worked. Any suggestions on how to fix it? Thanks very much

RAPHAEL (FUZE/TP) WWE WM 6.5 Build 21877 Sense 2.5.2012.1225 Update: 31 July This ROM has been tested over several weeks and I'm going to call this a release candidate. It's been updated with a few new components and most programs look as they should in landscape. This is a ROM ported directly from the Rhodium S2 and it's put together with mostly Rhodium S2 packages. It contains no non-HTC programs and is about as close to a Raphael S2 as there can be, hence the name. I've used some Tachi files for VGA porting, and Contact Picker is from the Topaz but is not used in selecting message recipients as I don't like the WVGA appearance. Other programs appear as they should in landscape with nothing hanging off the screen. The core is the 21877 build. It includes Sense 2.5 files ported by Amarullz but it contains no credits inside. Let's get to the good stuff. What's in it? Diamond SensorSDK packages work wonders . 6) Haptic feedback working in tabs, calculator and keyboard. 7) Manila Mail account tab is fixed. There are some bugs. Most notably: 1) Contact Picker is still not fully ported to VGA. If someone has it perfect, then I'm all for using it. 2) Ezinput 2.1 is not yet fully functional in VGA, but the only three hardware keys that don't work are the T9, cent and = key. 3) Messaging Enhancement has been fixed for the most part. It's a bit laggy, but doesn't lock up when switching from portrait to landscape anymore. 4) Sign-in/update confirmation in Twitter is off in landscape mode. However, everything IS functional. 5) Voicemail number is not being set by Connection Setup. I've not figured this one out yet. 6) Hardware keyboard is set up for a Fuze. Search for cabs to switch to TP if you'd like. The certainly are other bugs. So let me know what they are and keep the thread clean. It may not have the latest and greatest packages, but the ones it has work. I'm not a coder, just a cook. Those who have used my Hermes and Wizard ROM's know I'm heavy on functionality and perfection and would rather the cook be ahhh...invisible. Download Here

I'm working on a fix for the "add picture" dialogue box in New Contact Card. Please let me know if you are testing this thing out. Edit: Fixed in latest RC.
May I add another point to your list? Can you change the timezone? I never could do so using the manila dialog, it only worked with windows settings. Unfortunately I can't acess them any more
The ONLY tweak I've made to the registry is enabling NITZ which simply allows the phone to change time and zone based on cell towers. I'm not sure if Manila will let you use the time change function or not. To access all settings, go the to Manila Settings tab and tap the softkey on the bottom right. That will get you into the traditional WM settings.
That did the trick, thanks a lot! Btw your ROM is awesome... I haven't noticed any problems! Maybe a suggestion, how about enabling cleartype in landscape? Or have I overseen that too
I'm currently using the stock TP dialer in this ROM with the "No Manila Dialer Fix". It works almost perfectly now, but I've decided to make a ROM version based on the 6.5.x base and need to know if anyone has made a fix for the scroll bar issue using this dialer. If not, can/will anyone point me in the right direction as to how to fix this? Thanks!
I've included the SensorSDK 4.2 from the Rhodium S2 ROM in my newest ROM, but I replaced the HTCSensorService.dll with the 3.3 from the Touch Pro. Result? Nothing will rotate but Album (which I removed from the whitelist) because it handles its own rotation. GSensor calibrator works. Do I need a 3rd party program or what to get autorotation working? Lost Edit: Fixed in latest RC with Diamond Sensor SDK.

Trying to flash and needing a lil help i suppose...it has to be done through a RUU right? When i download a ruu.exe it never opens on my computer so could someone point me the right direction? Thx

so when i extract to intrinsic the .nbh says its 0kb? What am i doin wrong here? do i have to use 7zip to extract it? I'm using winrar right now. EDIT: Ahh nvm better luck with 7zip loaded rom and now time to play lol thx
