Bluetooth Headset and Voicecommand - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Accessories

Hi,
is there possibility to use an headset to set a voice command.
Are there any exeperince.
Greets Fraggy

Sort of!
HTC have changed the Bluetooth stack and it's causing problems, people here are looking at it, but I suspect we won't see a fix till we get some cooked ROMS.
If you press and hold the send key on the phone you should hear the familiar voice command two tone in your headset and can then speak the command, I'm using this with my car kit to initiate calls successfully. It does not appear to be possible to trigger VC from the headset right now.
Hope that helps,
Gordon

same problem for me with volume control: my BT stereo headset does not have volume control keys, so I can only use the keys on the phone. this was smoothly working with TP1 (Raphael). now it does not work AT ALL with TP2 :-(

could it be possible to deactivate the widcomm stack so we can use M$ stack

I'm just checking if this will work
deleting...
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ControlPanel\Overrides]
"Bluetooth"="\Windows\BTConfigCE.cpl"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\Bluetooth]
"Redirect"="BTConfigCE.cpl"

ok didn't work but now i have windows mobile controlpanel too

I have music playing in Jabra BT250

I've been playing around with my XDAIIi today and finally got music coming from my Jabra BT250.
Pressing the answer/end button on the Jabra toggles the sound to the headset and back to the XDAIIi.
At the same time I get my Tom Tom voice over the music!
The sound is not great, certainly not Hi-Fi though this, I guess, is mainly down to to the headset.
doesent work with me...
XDAIIi hardware+drivers support voice dialing over BT and playing audio. It was written in specification.
It is impossible to make these drivers work on normal XDAII or XDAIIs devices.
That's too bad for 2s user!
how did you get this to work as on my XDA2i i cant get it work, mainly the tomtom voices i am intrested in, not fussed about the music side
Thanks
John
I don't like answers like the one I'm about to give you and it's all I have.
I was on a call and ended it with my Jabra headset button. I then pressed the button again as I wasn't certain it had ended and I got the Tom Tom voice. I then played some music and that came through as well.
Now I can switch between XDA sound and Jabra sound just by toggling the headset button.
I haven't done anything with settings or patches. I got it quite by accident. If you want any info on my settings just ask but I'm sure they are all default.
The only thing that had changed between not getting it and getting it was the installation of Microsfot Voice Command, which is probably the best bit of s/w I have used. I don't know if this is a factor or not.
Thanks Mindraceing, are you useing Voice comands v1 or v1.5
Thanks
John
I'm using 1.5 UK version.

AVRCP and A2DP/Headset functionality (Stereo Support ???)

i just got off the phone with a support tech at iogear and was informed that any stereo headset requiring a2dp must support avrcp for switchability between calls and music.
in other words, my understanding is that AVRCP allows simultaneous use of HSP & A2DP profiles on stereo headsets.
my 1st response is can anyone verify this to be true?
next logical step if this is true...
do any stacks support this profile on the phones?
if the answers are yes and no respectively, can we create a project to work this out?
would love to hear input.
here's an afterthought, could this also be the missing link to get voice command working smoothly with stereo bt headsets?
present setup is with plantronics 590 and info in signature

On home pc recently updated widcomm stack to 5.1.0.1100 and although tempermental, streaming stereo and HS funtions working with engage button on headset. volume but no skip buttons.
although this isn't directly related to PPC it might oofer someone insight into how to make simultaneous profiles work on BA
hope this helps anyone.

I have the Anycom stereo headset and a Blue Angel with Bluetooth build 3900.
I just followed the instructions in this thread to get the high quality audio profile, then did the hack described in the fourth post of this thread to make the buttons on the headset work for Windows Media Player 10 (don't do this if you have WMP 9).
I can now:
connect A2DP and HSP profiles simultaneously, with perfect switching when a call comes in (music stops, then resumes after call)
control some functions with the headset buttons: answer a call, pause/resume the music and skip to next/previous track.
I can't: control voice command through the headset... unfortunately. Don't know if this is possible.
I hope this clarifies a couple of things. Good luck!

Bluetooth a2dp & headset conflict

Hi,
I use my iMate Startrek with a set of a2dp headphones (the iMuffs), and I have to manually tell the phone to connect to the iMuffs using a2dp through the "Set as wireless stereo" option in the settings, can this be done automatically?
Another thing is that if I get a call while listening to music, the microphone on the headset doesnt work very well, and I have to shout for the person to hear me. I think that the mic in the headset is not being used. Has anybody had this problem and solved it?
Does anyone know if there are some registry settings that need to be tweaked to get these problems solved?
Thanks a lot.
I use an itech s38 and doesn't have a problem with the mic.
I do have problems with automatic connections.
after setting up properly, if the headset gets disconnected,
the next time it reconnects by itself is always on the headset profile
and mostly only connects if i make a call
So even when no indicator is shown I would assume that seconds
before ther call is answered the sound would be transfered to the headset
that's not so much of a problem
what really sickens me is that if i wanted to
listen to music via the headset when headset profile is connected
i would have to
1.hit the stick once to go to comm manager
2.hit "2" to turn off BT
3.exit to make sure action is done
4.hit center to go to comm manager again
5.hit "2" turn it on (making sure it doesn'ty connects to headset profile first)
6.hit Settings to go to BT settings (hit one or enter to getto that's two presses)
4.hit menu
5.hit devices
6.hit menu
7.hit set as wireless stereo
8.hit done
9.hit done again
10.hit exit
11.hit start
12.hit windows media
13.mess another big while in windows media playlists
..........
now that's too much ... many places i could use the home button
to exit quickly .. that's not what's frustating
what i need actually is a shortcut to the BT devices page
and a smarter profile to connect to wireless stereo for me
without having to turn off headset profile first
I am using HP Stereo Bluetooth headset with my QTEK 8500. It works fine besides the reconnection. If I turn the headset off in order to reconnect I have to go to the BT settings and set the headset to Stereo Headset again. I beleive your problem ocurs because your headset is also a handsfree headset, which HP is not.
I do beleive this behaviour is by design. Although I do not seen to understand the logic behind it.

Microsoft voice control

Hi everyone, I have just upgraded to the TG01 and i'm liking it
But I have one problem, I have installed Microsoft Voice Control and set the options but it does not work correctly. When I press the button the beep comes through the phone speaker and not through my Bluetooth headset.
My headset works I have been using it without voice control so it’s not a headset issue and on my last phone (Xperia X1) it worked fine.
There is a similar issue with the Samsung Omnia and it was a fault in how Samsung implemented the Bluetooth audio routing and I have searched here but I can’t find anything relevant.
I am using the stock UK Orange 6.5 rom and I am using a Jabra BT200 headset and I wondered if anyone else has the same issue or has suffered this problem and knows how to fix it?
Thanks

Bluetooth headset and MSVC working?

Has anyone successfully used a bluetooth headset with Microsoft Voice Command with a stock 1.66 ROM? When I press the headset button, the voice command program initiates but all audio in/out happens on the handset microphone/speaker and not the headset. I have read where the widcomm bluetooth stack is to blame. I have also heard that some custom ROMs work ok.
I have tried the MSVC patcher to 28008 on top of msvc 1.6.21725 but it has not helped.
