[APP][QVGA/VGA] TouchPal User Dictionary Manager 1.1.4 (2009-08-20) - Windows Mobile Apps and Games

TouchPal User Dictionary Manager is an user-friendly application for visual managing user dictionaries in Cootek TouchPal.
This application is not developed by Cootek, and I'm not envolved or related to Cootek. I use TouchPal and I like it: I've written a user dictionary manager because I want to use my PDA at best.
TouchPal User Dictionary Manager is free and it will remain free forever.
I, however, will accept donations (you can buy me a beer for example) to let me continue in developing other apps.
With TouchPal User Dictionary Manager you can add and remove words from user dictionaries, modify existing words, modify the priorities of words; it supports multilanguage, so you can choose to work on any dictionary you installed.

Prerequisite section
Windows Mobile 5.0/6.0/6.1/6.5 QVGA (240 × 320) and VGA (480 x 640) devices in Portrait mode with at least 1.5M of free RAM

Installation section
On your PC or MAC, please extract the content of the zip file you downloaded and copy the CAB file into your device;
On your device (see Prerequisite section), run any File Explorer application and navigate to the folder where the CAB file is copied; run the CAB file;
Choose to install on Device or on Storage Card (see http://www.google.com/search?q=install+cab for help).
After installation, you'll find a shortcut called TouchPal User Dict Manager. Tap on it to start the application.
Uninstallation section
Uninstall or upgrade the application as any other Windows Mobile program.
Configuration section
There is no configuration settings, for now.

I installed this on my Touch Dual with WM6.5 and it threw up a few error messages.
I have netcf 3.5 cooked in and my WM6.5 is build 23009 but it's a lite version, not sure if that's the issue.
Anyway when I run the program and click on the English language and click OK, an error message pops up saying "An error occured on sub_editor_popola_tabella", then I click OK, then another error message pops out saying " An error occured on sub_editor_frmeditor_show. Exception continue?
So I click Yes and the main program loads but there's nothing for me to click on. The window is empty. My guess is the population of the words didn't work due to the errors. I've also done a reboot of the phone, disabled touchpal as the SIP but still doesn't work.
*Edit* Ok I know why it failed. It's because I don't have any saved words in the dictionary! It was a fresh flash of a new ROM so everything was still 'virgin'. Anyway I think you can check whether the dictionary is empty or not in your next version and if it is, just inform the user properly. I'm going to test the rest of the program now. Great work!

There is already an app that does this. It is call TPalEditor, which is part of DictMgr.

yes, I know it, but it doesn't work on my mobile, HTC TyTN II, so I've written myself an app to do this.
My app is free, too.

Sorry for strange (for you ) exception message, I'll rewrite in english the name of the subs.
I've not been able to recreate you error, so now (with your suggestion) I'll create the file dictionary if if not present.
I've release a new version, so.

work fine but only if TouchPal is intall in main memory, (phone), if TouchPal was install in sd memory, TPUD don't find TouchPal and do not start....
Is it possible to correct this ? maybe add a "auto-research in phone for TouchPal ?

I'm sorry my mistake. It works perfectly on the Omnia. Just that I didn't have any custom words in the dictionary as I had just done a hard recet. Thank you. Very nice, useful application!!
