MDA Compact V - Extended Battery - Touch Diamond2, Pure Accessories

Hi,
Does anyone know if there are any extended batteries available that will fit the Compact V?
Ta

bought a 1300 mAh - battery from ebay - works without any problems.

Thanks
Do you have a link?
Though I was thinking more of a 1800+ with the new back cover up (as the normal TD2 ones won't fit).
Ta

sure.

I bought that one.

Can you post a photo of what you received mideel?

its exactly as on picture in the auction.
but here a few data:
Replacement for
HTC Touch Diamond2
Li-ion 3,7V | TOPA 160
3,7VDC == 1300mAh

Thanks!

I'm interested in that one too. Have you ran any tests to see if it actually has higher capacity than the stock battery?

hm, not really.
charged it over night today.
came back from work now, heard music for about 1 hour, was connected over EDGE all the day, checked emails every 10 mins, played a 3dgame with gsensor for 30 min, checked rss a few times, took some photos, wrote 1 sms - now i've 50% left.

Iosdrivare is correct. It is very difficult to test if these batteries really have higher capacity than a stock battery or are just stock batteries rebadged with a higher capacity label.

High Capacity Battery for PDA2K

I have been searching for a spare battery for my new PDA2K. The standard battery capacity for PDA2K is 1500 mAmps. While I was searching - found 2200 mAmps being the same size as standard.
http://www.imatephonestore.com/selectItem.asp?itemMDL=PDA2KXBATT& plan=NO
Of course I'd rather have higher capacity one (almost 130% the charge) but I am reluctant to buy this one because it is "not standard" and I didn't see any reviews / recommendations neither on i-mate website nor anywhere else.
Did anyone try this or similar product? Should I go for "extended capacity" one? Thnx.
You can go for 3500 +
Bought my 2400 from here http://www.lionbattery.com and they have an 3500 as well. 2400 works like a charm only Batt Pro can't handle the 4 hrs + but who care's
Thanks, javar. Although 3500 seems as a dream come true I will go with a 2400 one because 3500 will not fit into the case that I have for my device. 2400 seems to be of the standard size -- it is just a little bit thicker along the whole length of the device which is okay with me. I actually thin that the original PDA2K should have sported the same approach to increase the battery life. Thanks a lot for the link again!
The 2400 last 10+ hours of heavy usage (bluetooth+CoPilot continuously running in the background, GPRS+web browsing, some phone)... With the standard battery, I usually have to switch battery around after lunch. With this battery, my battery level is around 20% when I'm ready to go to bed around midnight.
>>>> However, this darn battery won't charge in the spare battery cradle. It has to be plugged into your PPC... <<<< forgot to plug in the power cable!!!
This is strange. I have been talking to the guys at lionbattery.com and they told me that it charges perfectly fine from the cradle. Anyway, I have already made an order and will wait for my battery to come and test it in the cradle. I will keep you guys posted...
I have the 2400 and it does charge. You have to force it a little to get it in thats all.
I have 2400 as well, and can confirm that it charges from craddle.
Dears,
Thanks for choosing Mugen Power as your after market battery, we will do a lot of test before we release our battery.
I have used the 2400 va battery from www.lionbattery.com:
Item No.: HLI-XDA2SSL
Description: 2400mAh BATTERY (v.3) - PDA2K, XDA IIs, MDA III, 9090, XV6600, SX66 & more
Did 3-4 cycles already - excellent capacity, didn't reset my device, charges from cradle ok. I guess this v.3 really fixed the bugs and issues others had with the battery.
So far I am happy with it.
its look very expesive 72 us dollar
its look very expensive
does anyone know if the 2400 battery will fit into the BRANDO hardcase?? I really like this case a lot, but desire an extended battery. Thanks

I got a 1250mAH battery for my MDA Vario from http://stores.ebay.co.uk/SINO-WORLD about a week ago (search for "Wizard"). They delivered it in about a week. It seems to have around about the same capacity as the original battery.
It came to $24.88 including delivery to the UK but I used a Paypal voucher that reduced this by 10% so it ended up about £13. They gave me this link to the battery manufacturer's WWW site
found this site the other day, may try the 2500ma one.
http://www.gpsforless.co.uk/product_details.php?id=2692
Does that battery (the 2500mAh) have the same dimensions and pins as the Wizard battery, though?
it doesnt:

and...its for the Magician
This one is for the Wizard:

hmm.. almost double the life - might be worth the extra thickness. Now if only the showed some proper pictures of the actual thing in a wizard + new back cover :|

1-AA battery recharger. They didn't post any info on just how much it's able to recharge, but it's enough if you're in a bind and should fit easily in a lot of the pocketpc cases
just ordered the 2200mah one from here
http://www.gpsforless.co.uk/product_details.php?id=2971
will let you know how it is particularly how thick and how long it lasts. only 25 pounds could be a bargain
http://www.lionbattery.com/description.php?noproduit=332
mega beefy and over twice the capacity of the standard - but out of stock.
a second battery in my wallet seems a better bet
Still waiting on some reviews on how the extra thickness and battery life is like :?
Sorry for the delay in pics guys but also wanted to test battery and try with different cases. The battery is bigger than expected but not as big or thick as mugen 2600 mah. the cover seems a bit larger than it should be - it may be possible to trim it but have not tried.
Found that with battery in and leather case on - no battery cover, things not so bad and only slight bulge at back. With cover supplied I wouldn't show my phone in public lol
here are my battery tests
Wizard battery
Standard 1250 Mah
25% loss 2.5 hours browsing
60% loss 5 hours browsing plus some game, radio, omap 240 15 mins
Extended 2200 Mah (75% more Mah)
20% loss over 2.5 hours browsing
40% loss 5 hours browsing plus some game, music, omap 240 15 mins
44% loss 7 hours browsing reconfig ppc
46% loss 8 hours browsing reconfig ppc.
60% loss 9.5 hours browsing (nearly double standard battery)!
80% loss 11.5 hours browsing
90% loss 12 hours browsing
All browsing was continuous and on GPRS.
Fairly impressive I thought for a 25 pounds sterling battery!
here are the pics - taken with my spv c500 so apologize for quality
The case btw is a modified krussell case meant for Magician but works for Wizard.
In short then decided to keep the battery - I wish it was slimmer but no other available extended batteries in the uk I can find and at the price can't comlain

has any one come across a external battery charger for the HTC wizard t-mobile T-Mobile MDA Vario
I'd like to see some Li-poly battery alternatives. Has a higher energy to volume ratio so you could pack more juice into the standard battery size, plus its lighter.

1500 mAH Battery - good!

Hey guys,
Last week I buy an 1500 mAH Battery (CS) for my Herald.
Included today I worked 5 days with my Herald (WLAN , Phone, SMS, Calender..) and I have 28% Energy
Good Performance....
Whats your experience with the 1130mAH Battery? Do you have other Battery tested (bigger than 1500?)
Thanks Oliver
Where did you get the battery from?

No, you won't lose data
And this is not due to the pda, this was a 'feature' from WM2003
WM5 and WM6 both have the data/settings stored on a rom chip which doesn't lose its data when you soft-reset.
Are these batteries reliable? Don't want to have them exploded in my pocket! Has anyone already ordered?
Do these larger batteries fit with the original battery cover?
HERE is a 2400 maH Battery.
But It's a larger Backcover...
Thanks for the tip ... ordered one of these to compensate for running BatteryStatus.

i get 2 at most on mine.

That's the one I ordered, but I haven't received it yet. They don't tell you when they're out of stock on their site.
cool rob, let me know how it is when it arrives.
why is that guy getting 5 days of charge?
Bought one too
After reading the first very positive post about the 1500mAh battery, I've got one myself too. Unfortunately I am quite disappointed. The life seem to be the same or even worse than the original battery to me
Just GSM eats about 3-4%/8h but when I turn the device on I can see the percents going down anxiously fast even with the backlight on the first level
Got the 1500mAh battery this past Friday. So far, looks like I'm getting at least two days, maybe a little more between charges. Pretty much what I'd expect given the modest increase in amperage. Overall, I'm pleased given that it only cost about $30.
Hi there, I'm using the 1500 battery since monday and can't say that I see any difference to the standard 1150- no breakthrough and I don't see how to get over two days with normal use
what about the 2400 maH battery. Are there any benefits of getting that or not? (other than making your phone feel and appear heavier)
Where did you find a 2400 maH battery? And will any accessory for the P4350 work for my T-Mobile branded "Wing"?
Can anyone comfirm that the 2400 battery will come with the cover for the T-mobile Wing?
Please let me know... I will like to have one

There is a guy on ebay selling a 3000 mah battery for the wing with the blue cover. It looks large to me but if you need the extra power it may help. On ebay search for "wing battery". I think his seller id was nakedcellphone or something similar.

3 days? Thats impressive, I get 1 day if I use it normally, half day if I use ut heavy and 2 days if I use it lightly..
Does this come with a extra back case? anyone tested it and see if it really works? are Mugen a reliable company?

Thats about the normal. Dont worry about the 3 days thing. If you shut all the radios (BT, GPS, Data, etc.), shut it down at 10 in the night and power it up at 7 in the morning, and just use the device as a phone... I am sure your battery will also last a week.
I am very happy with the HD battery... I use cooked ROMs on my deivce. No doubt some of the ROMs have some battery leak, but the newr versions are very stable.
I commute One and Half hours to work each way daily. So, I watch movies on my phone for 2 hours every day. I have Exchange sync and 1 Gmail and 1 Yahoo mail accounts checking mails every 1/2 hour. I have automatic Weather and Sotck updates set up (for some reason, until I initiate the app, they dont get updated though).
I usually power my phone at 11 in the night with the battery ranging from 25% to 30% still available.
Having said that... I would definitely consider a Hi-Capacity battery as long as they are the original battery size.

Power-Cell pack a huge amount of mAh into their batteries and recognise there are times that you need to use your handset extensively without having to carry a spare charger or battery.
Keeps you connected for longer.
Comes with a new battery cover to match your handset.
Battery thickness: 10mm.
Size of phone with back cover fitted is 102mm x 51mm x 17mm.
Huge difference, as 17mm is much more acceptable than 30.3...
But the pricetag?
We need a picture to speak a thousand words.
I wouldn't mind getting one as an emergency pack or for trips abroad.
Interesting.. I think the www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/18489.htm has the wrong size, or dont you think its strange that according to the Official Mugen page the size is 30.3 and on the mobilefun its only 17mm.. Doesnt feel very likely.

Doubt it very much... How can our phone shrink in size?
Blackstone dimensions: 115mm x 63mm x 12 mm
With 4500mah battery: 102mm x 51mm x 17 mm according to mobilefun.
With this battery the phone has shrunk by over 10mm in height and width. Unless these batteries explodes in all the right places I don't see how this can be correct.
Bad joke...
bigger capacity = bigger dimensions...
except for the momax battery...
i recently purchased one (1500mAh) and seems to last 25% more than the original...
and the dimensions are exactly the same as the original battery...

Allow me to disagree...
First of all i have been using it for a few days and therefore i cannot make safe conclusions...
BUT the phenomenon of showing for example 40% for a few hours and after a soft reset dropping to lets say 10% has been the rule with the original HTC battery.....
i will keep anyone interested informed.....
I ordered the 1500mha Momax battery yesterday and it was so damn cheap too! So even if the battery sux it really doesnt matter
my battery lasts for i'd say 1.5 days with few usage. semi heavy usage with music and some other stuff is not even half a day...
if the price wasnt to fricken high i'd buy one of the big ones ^^
or not... i just saw a picture and dayum -.- ugly thick ****
does this thing even fit in the pocket once its so big??
damn, who the hell pays so much for making such a beautifully looking device into such a Brick, damn you could kill someone with that xD

[Q] Whats the best battery?

Hi all,
at the moment, my hero sprint (I think this is the proper name) is running on the factory 1350mAh battery. I am pretty content, but I am reading about 1800mAh batteries that should live a lot longer! But on the batteryboss.org I see most are just rip-offs.
Whats the battery of your choice? What are your results and: where did you order it?
I am more than open for all advice about this subject, as long as the battery fits in the stock opening. I do not want my hero to become any bigger than is is
htcheroblog.com/2010/02/14/mugen-power-1550mah-3200mah-htc-hero-battery-review/
Read the five pages and it should give you an idea as to which battery (if any) you want.
Unless your away from your charger for more than one night then the standard htc battery should be sufficient, although I personally have the huuuuge 3200mAh battery which is amazing and lasted over 40 hours for me even with wireless and gps pretty much constantly on. Hope that helped

I also have a 3200 mAh battery and its lasted 14 days on minimal use! That's how good the Hero can be! I use the stock Battery for day to day use though as I get 2 days out of it usually.
I use 2200mAh purchased from Clove uk (part number is HTC-BATEHEROW-B15).
My battery goes down to 60-70% after a day use, WiFi on all time and quite a lot of calls.
It used to go down to 20-30% with the orginal battery.
The real good thing is that the phone has now taken an extra 5mm of thickness and this extra bit makes it much much easier to hold on my hands.
The cover color is real white and does not match the white Hero color, no big deal.

I dont expect many will have a much higher capacity worth buying if you dont want to add depth to the phone soory
If anyone is interested the Clove batteries (2200mAh) are only £7ish delivered to the UK now!
It may be a pricing error? no idea, either way Ive ordered!
Only available in white though... but almost twice the power for less than a 10er! Im in!
(I will probably cover the back cover in stickers anyway... its what all the Apple people do so its easily acceptable for a Android user to do it lol)
I also bought one And thank god i ahve a white hero
i bought one too...
Well my order just got cancelled by them because apparently they arnt in stock (even though they have been on the site listed as 'in stock' for the past few days) and they have removed the item from the site!

Digging up old thread but just wondered, has anyone used those 1550 mAh replacement batteries.
I'd like to buy one from ebay but i don't know if it is worth it.
Thanks in advance
There's 3200 mAh, 2200 mAh, 1550 mAh, and the stock 1350 mAh batteries.
I have the 2200 mAh version.
Its only $13.75 USD and is smaller than the 3200 mAh version.
It comes with the back case and lasts almost twice as long as the stock battery.
I wouldn't spend +$79 on just a battery. I'd rather buy 2 2200 mAh batteries. Cheaper and easier to carry.
