How does this work out - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Accessories

Okay, so I bought a phone bag/case off Ebay for my TP2. I'm really liking the bag, it fits the phone quite well (excepting the huge usb headset adapter of course which I might cut a hole for.)
Here's the thing though, I paid 6.45 with free shipping for the bag. It shipped from Hong Kong to the US and the Postage totals $7.10. What is going on here, how can they afford to offer these prices if shipping is that much. Are these stamps legit, I peeled the bottom of them and they do have a multicolor thread I assume is for counterfeit detection.

Possibly HK$. Current exchange rate is around 0.12USD/HK$.

Looks like they have some pretty good prices on cases, but their shipping costs seem excessive:
$9.60 for Priority Mail from TX to NY, when the USPS website says $5.45 (or $5.34 paid online).

Yikes! That kind of off-sets any savings...
totally. Tried to order a 7 dollar screen protector, they want 17 dollar shipping.

Ship to where??
I think he meant 17 total with shipping. I was going to grab a screen protector for 7 bucks but shipping is 10.15 to Washington state. I wonder if their shipping is only this high because of the sale...
I had asked him about shipping (among other things) and this is why:
The shipping module is based of weight. So one or two cases / screen protectors ect all run about the same. I ship everything the next morning and everything goes priority 2/3 days. I could have opened it up for standard snail mail but since this is just a hobby for me I just kept it as simple as possible. I have a 'real' job and after a full days work I go home to stuff packages. If I made more shipping options it would just get crazy. It's usually only a couple dollars more than snail mail but most people love getting their toys quicker. That and the fact that I just provide such great customer service and take such time and detail in my emails with a quick response; you get what you pay for (sorry couldn't resist)

One would think that would include the processing costs packaging, the act of packaging and then getting it picked up (since they arent likely walking down to the USPS stop to drop it off).
They did have oe chargers..... oh well

Nope, it was 16.95 shipping plus the 6.96 bucks for the screen protector. ( Canadian dollar higher than the USA dollar atm)
I wanted to ship to Canada. It was only going via posts hipping should be no more than 6 bucks or so. Based on previous shipping costs.

Lost my USB charging cord, anything I need to keep in mind when replacing?

Is it Mini Usb or Micro Usb, is there even a difference? Is it a specific type of cord that came with my phone in the first place, or can I pick up any cheapo cord and not notice a difference?
I can't believe I lost it, I still have the wall plugin that uses Usb2.0 or the full sized Usb, I just don't have the cord... Sorry if this is a dumb question but yeah I'm flat broke right now, don't want to have to buy two cords.
Also I'll be going into an actual store to buy it because I neeeeed to charge my phone right now, It's at like 2% battery but turned off at the moment. Would Bestbuy/Futureshop be the place to go, or can I just go into the walmart electronics section and get whatever cords are there? Or should I just get a cheapo cord from Wal Mart and order a better quality one online when I get more money?
Any micro USB cable will do. There's nothing special about one or the other.
I've usually bought them on amazon for a buck or so each. Someone already posted a link in this forum but here it is
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Repla...UOQI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1333654884&sr=8-1
It is $1.90 with free shipping.
If you cannot wait I'd just order that, go to BestBuy and paid their ridiculous $20-30 for the cable, use it, then once you get the one from Amazon, return the one at BestBuy.
I've found BestBuy very useful for getting something to use until my package comes from Amazon or Newegg.

not to sound like a ****, but maybe it's people like you that makes **** cost more for the rest of us. plan ahead and save everyone the trouble.
because I'm unwilling to spend $20-30 on something that costs them about a buck? Their markup is just ridiculous. If they had it reasonably priced, at most $5 it would be a different story. But when they have no employees, they close down the front registers so they can have a full 2 people working on customer service, returns, and checking people out, then 2 more running the entire floor for sales, they do not need that kind of markup, so why pay it.

if you find their price unreasonable, then don't buy it. buying and returning a perfectly useable product is a douche move no matter how you look at it.
My local Staples has a combo cable pack for about $10 with two cables - one mini USB and one micro USB.

Great price, fast shipping and high quality cables. The USB cables I bought from them are great quality and longer. I think I punched the 6 footers.
I purchase all my cables from them.

One thing to remember - some cheap microUSB cables possess only the two internal links needed for charging. A true data cable has five internal wires. It's almost impossible to tell from pictures which is which, but generally the two-wire ones are labelled as 'charge only' or something similar.
Caught me off-guard once when trying to connect to PC, didn't know what was up. Turns out the USB connector only had two contacts!

Slightly cheaper DK30's on Amazon/ebay - fakes?

I've noticed there's a few cheaper DK30's, there's a fulfilled by Amazon one for £23 delivered and a few on eBay for £25 delivered. My concern is I know there's cheaper non-official docks out there and although the ones I'm looking at on ebay/Amazon are claiming to be official, they may be fakes. Has anyone ordered a cheaper DK30 recently and was it as expected? I might be worrying over nothing but thought it worth checking first to see what others thought.
Thanks,
John

http://www.ebay.com/itm/290988627774?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
Its legit. Sony branding, sony tag on the USB cable.
$27 USD including shipping... that sounds about what your pricing is.
They're probably not fakes but for the price you're probably better off buying two aftermarket ones and still have change to spare. I got one of these and it's pretty good. Only gripe is that the charging time is quite slow via the magnetic dock. But it's nice how it comes with a short micro USB cable as a pass through in case I want to plug it in for a faster charge or plug in my SmartWatch 2 to charge at the same time.

Possible "Bad Batch" of Logitech 12.2 keyboards?

In the past month, I have tried twice to buy a "new" Logitech Note Pro 12.2 folio keyboard. The first, from Ebay, arrived and I touched its keys and immediately heard a weird crunching noise. The keys would not really even depress. It was obvious to me the keyboard was a retread... packaged to look new but horribly faux repaired. I sent it back for a refund. So then I went to Amazon, and bought one from Amazon. Unbelievably, it too was obviously a badly repaired and repackaged broken keyboard -- the right shift key was actually coming off, and underneath it a bunch of glue and white plastic preventing the key from even depressing. I just contacted Amazon and am returning it immediately. I really want one of these... they are on sale all over the place for around 46 bucks (give or take). But I'm very wary at this stage of buying any of 'em. Sigh....
Update: Just bought a kinda raggy taggy one for 35 bucks from a guy who'd actually used it. It has some wear, but at least the keys will work. Anyway, just a heads-up for others looking.
That was a good price as BestBuy is asking $93.99 now.
Did you buy them from Logitech, or a random seller?
In my experience you should always buy these things in a sealed box from an official reseller store. And if they're 50% cheaper than the retail store, that's never without a reason....

I do tend to live on the ragged edge. A missionary's budget doesn't allow for a lot of squeaky-clean geekdom. The two keyboards purchased were from resellers, but large ones -- one actually sponsored directly by Amazon.
This last purchase, counter-intuitively perhaps, I have made intentionally from someone who is selling their keyboard they personally used. At least that way I know it works. Cheapest they are new is near 100 bucks, even now. Will let everyone know if the keyboard works for me. Heh.
Just be careful out there buyin'.
Blessings.

Keyboard came, works fine.
My first keyboard years ago had a hidden flaw that took a year for me to notice. The sync button was broken. I bought a used one for $33 and it works fine.
got a new one directly from Logitech and it had a broken Bluetooth button. They sent me a new one and I opened the faulty one to see if i could fix it. I have to say I wasn't impressed with the flimsy nature of the button & switch.
Uh oh. I just ordered an ebay one. I'll keep my fingers crossed until it arrives.
Edit: I got mine and it seems fine. It was sold by seller: winnerauctions for $41.99 and he's got more than 10 left to sell for anyone interested. Mine didn't come with an instruction manual or the original cable, just a generic cable and the keyboard wrapped in bubble wrap. But it works and seems not to have the issues others have mentioned above.
Just picked up one on ebay for $30 shipped. Hopefully no issues I can't work around. Did notice there are A LOT of them up on ebay for $40 or less listed as refurbs. Can only assume Logitech does have issues with these.

Is this case too good to be true for the price?

I am shopping around for a case on my new phone before it arrives. I came across this case by Cimo which is $5.00 and looking at the images and description is seems like it is too good to be true what do you guys think? Can they be scamming? It has no reviews yet either so i am hesitant. Looks to have all the bells and whistles of the other $15-20 cases and i see no promo or anything it is straight off the bat $5.00.

I'd imagine that it'd be a safe bet. Amazon will intervene in the event that it's a scam. I am considering ordering it just for the hell of it myself. My thought on the low price....it may be a new product/design and they're trying to get it out there and into users hands hoping for further sales...
Eh hell, I just ordered it for fun to see how it goes....I'll let ya know how it goes.

I mean i know Amazon has our back but still you cant be too safe these days. I saw they have lot of reviews and popular models but it seemed so fishy to me that they would be selling something that offers this much quality for only $5.00 Spigen has similar cases for $15.00 and that makes you think twice. But thanks for the advice. I am thinking about getting the Turquoise which color did you order?

I did black, since that's the phone color I have
I think it might be a new model. Not uncommon to see a crazy deal for that kinda thing. Wouldn't be surprised to see the price go up to $12 or $15 in next few weeks....
If you think about it, Samsung (free GearVR and 6 games) and T-Mobile (free year Netflix) are doing the same to get the S7 units flowing out the door fast and furious.
I currently have clear TPU on it. I don't know why I always order them...I think they'll look good, then forget that they just end up looking cloudy with fingerprints haha.
I gotta say, if that turns out to be a nice case, thank you. I haven't had a chance to really dig through all the available accessories for this device just yet.
I also saw the case with this post looks very good for the price definately worth trying out. Lets see how the blue/gold combo turns out. Worst case you can return it Amazon is the best in the customer service business besides Costco that i know of and maybe Ebay sometimes with that money back guarantee.
Amazon all the way here for cust svc. Ebay takes 2 weeks before they'll step in if there's a problem. With Amazon, I had a mattress that I bought...didn't like it. They gave me a full refund and let me keep it. Refund processed same day as call. That's crazy good customer service.
I'm looking forward to this case.

Sweet! Then you can start a thread "Review of my $5 case collection"
I'm getting in on the freebie TechMatte glass screen protector offer.
Man this phone is becoming cheap to protect. Normally I've spent $30 or so to protect it. This time? Under $8.
Don't think there's anything wrong with this one. It's a safe bet. Worst case scenario is you have a dud $5 case.

For the guys who wanted an update: I got my case its great feels really good and fits really snug i love it. Here is a review of the case someone made (not me) if you guys are wondering what it feels and looks like live: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufTroV7bU8g
You still using this case? How's it holding up and does the bottom part come off easily? I'm wondering if it'll fall off when I'm pulling the phone out of my pocket.
